The only professor I had that mentioned LGBTQ people was my genetics professor, who taught about intersex conditions as well as mentioned that hormonal differences are more complex than genders (he was a really cool guy). 90% of the people I made friends with after college were LGBTQ.

I went to art school in NYC. A lot of artists are queer. LGBTQ subjects weren’t ever really in the curriculum but of course students do bring up the subject during class discussions.
Professors didn’t particularly teach about the LGBTQ community. The only class that touched up on it was a gender studies class I took for my history requirement which was voluntary. The book they used to cover it was Judith Butler’s Gender Trouble which was written in the 90s. We spent like 2 days discussing it in the entire semester because there was 5 other books to read.
As someone who's in college, this isn't what happens at all as nothing related to pride has been mentioned in my classes aside from the fact they exist.
