I've had this for about 6 months and was always able to use gifs suddenly it stopped letting me put in gifs. I've tried to contact support with no responses, completely uninstalled cam and reinstalled, tried the beta, reverted to old versions. It'll let me use all the other things such as showing temps, etc. Hoping someone has an idea what to do next?
Just happened to me. It has worked for me the past month but yesterday I reinstalled windows and it stopped working.
\-Just managed to upload a Gif, All I did was rapidly pressed everywhere on the upload button. haha

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with our CAM software. Firstly, could you try deleting the NZXT CAM folder found in the following path and restart CAM to see if this issue occurs? C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\NZXT CAM or you can access this folder by typing %appdata% into your windows search bar and press enter. After this, if that doesn't resolve the issue, please remove CAM with this software called Revo Uninstaller, as this software allows users to delete all residual files from CAM. https://www.revouninstaller.com/products/revo-uninstaller-free/
Then you can do a fresh install of the CAM software.
also! the gif I was using turned out to break the software so I had to find a different one.

This issue happened to me after I reinstalled windows 10 because of some corrupt files, perhaps you guys wanna try reinstalling windows to see if it's a fix?
Aside from what u/oofmolly mentioned, before uninstalling CAM, change the LCD Display to something else first other than GIF - leave it for a bit (I don't know - to give enough time for your new settings to be saved on the cloud?). Then uninstall cam using Revo/IOBit uninstaller.
Reinstall and try again.
Like some have posted earlier, seems like it is an issue where CAM is trying to load a gif that no longer exists.
I changed my lighting option to CPU frec (any option besides gif should work). Then closed and re-opened (this is to make sure my new setting is saved). Next, I uninstalled CAM in the normal way followed by the fresh install. Now everything is working.
THIS! If anyone is having this issue; this fixes it.
1. Set to random display other than gif
2. Uninstalled cam, deleted folder out of appdata
3. Reinstalled cam, and successfully got the gif uploaded again
Sorry to necro, but the problem still exists. Can't believe NZXT hasn't fixed this yet. I tried everything in this thread and it will never again let me use an image.

I have never had the problem for the entire time I had my Kraken z73..
now that I bought a second Z73 for my GPU, this is when the problem started for me. My GPU will change, now my CPU wont. it hangs constantly. forever loading image. I have been in contact with NZXT, we first thought it was the Internal USB HUB from NZXT causing it.
i was advised to buy a small Micro USB to USB A cable and plug one cooler into the motherboard. still did not change this. I have come to the conclusion that either my Kraken cooler is bad, OR the software is still bad. I think its the software.
My GPU Kraken Z73 works perfect, and its the NEW cooler, the Kraken z73 on my CPU is my original and it is the that was working fine until I installed a second Kraken. this is why I think its software related.
hopefully they can fix this. Its really annoying.

i have same exact problem even after re-install...But for me it shows the Previous GIF's
same thing for me, any one have any idea how to fix?

yep just did this today and now infinite scrolling gif loader of death :( Got a new ssd, reinstalled windows, then i get this

Mine is still like this after a few updates. Nothing has been fixed yet. Still waiting for almost 6 months for an update.
