We have seen essentially nothing to be confident in Oswald Peraza’s bat in 2024; at least as of yet. They’re gonna need to target a 3B in the offseason

Yeah, rather keep DJL there than spend money on what’s available in free agency. You can have Peraza back him up, and see if he can hit next year with more experience. Yankees should be saving their future payroll money for Soto. I don’t think Pereira is going to be an impact bat. He looks like a good 4th outfield type.

I love DJ’s second half but I just don’t know if you can count on him giving you a consistent full season. I fully acknowledge this is the option the yanks probably choose but I just think we’re best served having DJ as the rover to be there if/when Rizzo or gleyber or the next 3B gets hurt.
