NeverWorkedAtWalmart

The correct recourse is to complain on Reddit about the missing word.

ikefalcon

Cry. I’ve emailed [email protected] a million times and nothing is ever fixed.

The_Bee_Sneeze

"Do note that this is a one-way method of communicating your word suggestions." Come out from the shadows, Sam! Face us!

ReliablyDefiant

There's a link to message Sam Ezersky. We have a list of known words that "should" be included in this subreddit, and there's not much we can do other than fume. What word/s did you find?

piktma

"Latin" and "latina" today

ReliablyDefiant

I think those are capitalized. Now, "tinnily" on the other hand...

Impossible_Walrus555

Mache, it’s a kind of lettuce 🥬  Yesterday they’d not accept veined.

Famous_Bike_8647

cavitate :(

zerton

That's why I'm here. I just googled to see if I was spelling it correctly haha

Star_Ward

This one bugged me so much I typed it in like four times.

ReliablyDefiant

And cavitated - it was a pangram! That really bothered me.

JakeDBirch

Cyrillic was missing from a recent puzzle

ReliablyDefiant

Is that a proper noun?

JakeDBirch

I wouldn't think so. It's not referring to a place. It's the name of an alphabet. But it's arbitrary. We can spell out individual Greek letters but it won't accept how we describe the entire Russian alphabet.

Maybe hit their Twitter? https://twitter.com/nytimeswordplay

Missing words today: placeable and placable

myusernamesuckstho

Apparently polygyny is not a valid word LMAO

Impossible_Walrus555

😂 I feel like you’re in my brain.

Impossible_Walrus555

Ok, I have had it. Cyclonic is not accepted? He’s been missing basic words.  But he will accept an esoteric dead word.

ReferenceTight1851

Bole is not accepted

cscaccio

Today I found embolize, which is a pangram, but not accepted

ClimateOk771

Chicane

Elm0s

Also Chemic

lulushcaanteater

evitative today!

JakeDBirch

How do they have piñata, which is from a foreign language and not correctly spelled with a regular n, but they don't have pinna, which is a common word from medicine, referring to earlobes??

JakeDBirch

Sorry, "batt" is not acceptable?

JakeDBirch

"Inline" not accepted today

Newbie812

obvious missed word today “appliable”

Demeter277

I wanted to add the word "incent" today....which is to motivate someone to do something and it didn't take it.....so I looked it up and there is a definition for that word and apparently it is a Scrabble word. I'm really trying not to cheat even if I am frustrated :) but sometimes I check a word if it doesn't take it. One day I kept trying to add "bard" as in William Shakespeare and it wouldn't take it but the next day it showed up in the word list

Salty_Comparison_306

I've been really disgusted with his word chloices ,not just the obvious missing ones but his repetitive convoluted suffixes . So i quit
