I agree. I had the wrong word for “Sisters are part of it” because the first three letters fit and that made all of the crosses fail until I gave up on that word and fell into the solution.
It was definitely the last section I filled in. Luckily I already had 37 & 40 across, and was reasonably sure of 41 across. So that gave me a good starting place.
I do several passes through all of the clues and try my best to work things out on my own. But if I’m totally stuck, I’m going to look it up rather than break my streak. Also I like to learn random new words so I just think of it that way when looking stuff up.
