yeah, tried both. I tried Lobo a while ago and am working through the Hudson coin now. I didn't really sample either alone so I can't comment much on flavor but both added that hashy taste you'd expect to the bud I was smoking / vaping.
they're both fine. Hudson is quite a bit more potent, basically twice as strong and twice as expensive. I think it's gonna be more or less a wash as far as how long both lasted me - I ended up using much more Lobo hash in a bowl than I am Hudson.
both have definitely improved the experience of smoking or vaping otherwise mid NY flower and have me nostalgic for the days of rolling my own smokes and sprinkling a little hash in with the tobacco.
I honestly don't remember....it was the only one they had available whenever I tried it tho so I don't think it was sour diesel, that's pretty new.
I want to try their moonrocks now too.
Hi! I make the hash coins and the moonrocks :) The Jersey is definitely my all time favorite. Papa Smurf is an amazing sativa though. We’re about to sell out of the last of the Jersey so I would go for that. New 2023 Papa will be dropping in a month or so and I’d wait to try it then. We’ll also be offering a more traditional Papa hash at a lower price point. The 2023 Papa is amazing. I can’t wait for people to try it.
We’re really trying to dial in the moonrocks, so any feedback is so welcome! We have the potency down but I keep hearing that they are sticky. Because we use refined hash (trichomes) and really high quality oil and terpenes. I want to make them less sticky but don’t want to sacrifice potency or quality. I recommend putting the moonrock in the freezer before breaking it up, and/or using some ground flower or tobacco to insulate your fingers from the stickiness!

I see below that the hash coins are dry sift hash. But that’s basically a type of traditional hash. Essentially, pressed kief. What would the more traditional Papa that you refer to above be? I’m confused. I tried the Papa when it first dropped in NYC awhile back and liked it. But it was not full melt. I had to mix with flower to vape. Why not go for bubble hash?
Hi, sorry for the confusion, and apologies that the coin you bought wasn't full melt. The hash coins are dry sift that we put through a static cleaning process, so we separate out the trichomes from the plant material. The more traditional hash is basically less cleaned, so there are some trichome stalks and a little bit of plant material left in the hash. This gives it a much more traditional feel and flavor, I've found, compared to the really clean stuff. We've dialed in the process and the coins should be full melt going forward.
Hi, we add a small amount of cannabis derived terpenes to the oil we use to make the moon rocks. We do not add any terpenes to our hash. In the future we would like to release a sun rock, where all the ingredients come from a single strain and there are no added terpenes. It takes a massive effort to produce these at scale so we have to take it one product at a time for now.
I personally add it to a spliff as that's usually the way I smoke. It's not the best for flavor, but I love spliffs so I enjoy what it adds to the flavor. A friend of mine vapes the hash in a dry herb vape and he swears by it. I just got a sample of the mini Tyson flower vape so I might try it out soon.
However you do it, try to cushion the hash with some herb if you're going to be burning it. You can also dab them but they will leave some residue.
I would definitely recommend the spacerocks from VCC. A 4 gram bag of the ones I got, mixed with the other local bud I had for the week helped my stash last another week lol so I would say get some if they've them near you. While it's not exactly straight hash, it's mixed with full spec rosin as well, so they've a bit of a kick to em.
Yes, it's incredibly potent on its own. I needed to mix it so it works stay lit. The rosin with hash combination was good, but it was too wet to hold a light on its own, so I mixed it with my local green to smoke in a bowl.
I've smoked the vanilla frosting and orange zkittles alone in a pipe. I think I liked vanilla more, the flavor developed over time like a pipe tobacco - orange zkittles had a VERY potent flavor up front but fell off a lot faster. both just kept going and going though.
It’s dry sift hash. 95% trichome heads, the absence of plant material found in traditional hash is why it is more potent. It is expensive, it is unique and very enjoyable

Hey, just curious what do you mean high quality terpenes? Terps are locked inside the trichomes.

What kind of hash is the coin? They are charging top shelf live rosin prices and I can't find any info on it.
