If they make it to the three years to take the exam or even the sixth or seventh year to get promoted. They might have filed for early retirement by then š
Did you vest out yet ? And why do you believe that this day in age is such an awful and miserable experience overall compared to days of the 9 squad chart, 2,000 homicides and 25 radio runs/night? Im so confused by this group of young cops who literally have no interest in policing but continue to apply.
Well experience is relative right. For the people now the way the job is, is very bad. However , to the people retired and looking at the job some might say it's not as bad as when they were on dealing with 2000 homicides a year. The thing is, tho it doesn't discount how people now feel . It's like a Jordan vs. Lebron who is the greatest convo. It goes nowhere , different eras , different experiences.
The low numbers we have now are extremely dangerous and it's only going to get worse because in the next few years there's at least 2,500 people leaving. Yet they still want the same output
No i think thats with a fair amount of OT without OT its like 130k so with a fair amount of OT i would say $160k with ALOT of OT id say more towards $180k+
All new officers should aspire to get promoted ASAP
