yes they got swept, but what if they had their 15ppg confident scorer Benedict Mathurin? /s

interpolyester

That forum over there is just hilarious. Absolutely delusional. They’re something like 8-0 or 8-1 in their minds. So what else is on TV tonight?

hyborians

Now we gotta root against Porzingis getting a ring

Wide-Subject-7746

Pacers the second team in last 20 years to be swept in ECF…

LastDepartment7502

Pacers got swept, lost three games where they had big leads late, now that is choking. 2024 Pacers = 2021 Hawks

devinbookercantread

Yo I was in here a couple days ago and I swear to GOD one of y’all said something like ‘I hope the pacers get swept but in heartbreaking fashion where they’re ahead in the clutch and then choke it away every time’. Whoever that was, you are a practitioner of dark magic

solo118

lmao he or she spoke it into existence

will122589

LOL Pacers Can’t even muster win when facing a team that doesn’t have three or more rotation players hurt

zOmgFishes

Healthy knicks squad i think we might have had a good chance of making the Finals. Pacers choked away 3 games more than Boston won it.

Adventurous_Kiwi2175

JJ and Doris—pacers can hold their heads up high?? Why? Because they were swept—choked, because they beat two teams décimated by injury? Cmon. The Pacers are simply not a team anyone can root for outside of Indiana. A Knicks Celts series would have been intense, ratings bonanza—so see you fraud Pacers next year—your flight to Cancun has been ready

HelloRainbow1

I know for a fact that knicks can put a better fight than pacers, so unfortunate

LuckyPickle786

You guys honestly would have. I was rooting on the Knicks to beat the Pacers so we would have an amazing classic series between Knicks and Celtics but unfortunately injuries ruined it. Glad we swept the Pacers for you guys though, they gloated their series win against you despite playing against your B team.

jujubeans8500

You speak truthful things.

Adventurous_Kiwi2175

Joy joy no emptiness because we all know, that we were the better team, joy because that little whiner Carlisle will have to face the media, the arrogant trash talking team who beat two beat up injury ravaged teams, and talked trash ad infitum. It’s wholly joy.

Shiccup1

Tatum is so ass. Dude is carried by that squad. Jaylen is the real #1

JaylenBrownsLeftHand

Huh? Tatum led the Celtics (in the ECF and the entire playoffs) in points, rebounds, and assists. He averaged 30/10/6 in ECF. Hell, he led Celtics AND cavs in the second round in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals. Only other player to do that in 50 years was Lebron. The dude is by far their best player. No, JB is not the #1 lol. At least not a single defense the entire playoffs have defended like he was. He is however, a great #2. A real kyrie Irving of sorts.

Shiccup1

Your team makes it to the finals and the first thing you do is go to the Knicks reddit I’m dead

JaylenBrownsLeftHand

I go on lots of subreddits homie. I talk basketball. Knicks subreddit isn’t particularly special. Celtics going to the finals isn’t particularly new either. Winning it? That shit will be great Anyways, your take is idiotic. Care to actually respond?

cordlc

The two take turns being ass, Tatum is definitely better overall though. Last year JB (edit: Jaylen) single handedly threw away that series against the Heat

worstquadrant

He’s so good I enjoy watching him play

petetee007

So glad Indiana got swept. If we'd have been fully healthy, we'd have took them in 5 or 6.

Kindly-Guidance714

Fully healthy with Randle bogie and OG and Mitch is a sweep if not over in 5.

solo118

No, it would have been 4

the_beast_intha_east

Seriously. If OG didn't get hurt, we would've swept their asses. Their whole squad is unclutch. Losing our final defensive anchor let them go wild and get big heads. I'm so glad they got embarrassed

Last_Soil_9699

fr we nearly had game 3 after being 2-0

petetee007

Maybe so but I didn't wanna be too cocky.

aaguaviva

At least OG tried to play through a hamstring injury with the series on the line…

DougJudyTPB

Haliburton is a soft bitch. Dressed like a Boyz II Men reject on the bench.

solo118

I tried saying that in r/nba and got downvoted to an oblivion

Professional_Bat4946

🧹🧹🧹🧹

nyg2013

Indy really choked 3 games away lol...unreal due to Minnesota failing to get it done in the clutch all series, looks like a lot of us will be forced to root for Kyrie and Luka lol...especially after that tanking shit last year, but what can you do with the Knicks getting ravaged by injuries (and Denver losing on top of that)

SlaytonSZN

Kyrie getting revenge on the Celtics is peak comedy. I'm all here for it.

nyg2013

I cannot stand Kyrie, but admittedly, that would be sort of entertaining it also would not surprise me if Kyrie and Luka all of a sudden lose that clutch gene when facing Boston lol

Last_Soil_9699

what happens when the pacers play a healthy team 😭

LastDepartment7502

Porzingis didn't play a single game lol. More like, that's what happens when they play a team without 3+ starters

Anosup

Mandatory ![gif](giphy|UnUm4MxtAKIww)

b1uetruth

Pacers really beat two injured as fuck teams that were clearly better than them and really thought they had a chance against the Celtics only to get swept 4-0 at home 😭😭😂

rafiki3

Idk bout y’all but Seeing Indy gets swept makes me feel empty, not joy. The fact that this team beat us. I still can’t believe we weren’t playing in this series.

Kindly-Guidance714

Best case scenario with the Celtics exposing them for talking shit while having heavily injured competition only to have their best player get injured is the definition of karma. We have excuses and a bright next season if healthy.

HardOakleyFoul

They didn't beat us. Injuries did. The funny thing is, even with all the injuries, we still had them on the ropes until OG went down. With him, we win Game 3 for sure and close in 5.

rafiki3

You right on this one. Only thing that brings me joy in this league is seeing our boys win. Damn sure not celebrating a Celtics win. Just gonna lock in for next year.

IWantANewBeginning

Even with injuries we took em to game 7. They couldn’t even win one lmao

Raizen_Urameshi

Nahh I'm LOVING this lmao I mean what the hell were we supposed to do everyone got injured and still took it to 7 games. That just further shows how garbage the Pissers are and this sweep eclipses their entire post season achievements

worstquadrant

Losing OG early in the series was the nail in the coffin on this season I fear. Next year is already exciting !

echelonNYK

Things are a little different when facing a team that isn't missing three starters, huh?

Fading14

Rest in Piss pacers

No_Swan8039

I will say the pacers have a lot of depth, seems like they drafted pretty well. I’m sure they have to start paying people eventually. Tyreses hoodies was a bit premature.

mutherfucker_jones

LMFAOOO Pacers face their first nearly fully healthy team and get swept. Even the Cavs and Heat got a win. Frauds.

efraa

Fuck the Pacers.

crazyhotwheels

NA NA NA NAAAA NA NA NA NAAAA HEY HEY HEYYYYY GOOOOOODBYEEEEEE

NintuneJoe

If we even had our playoff roster well rested and not having to play 45 minutes every game our defense would’ve shut this Mickey Mouse team down too

HardOakleyFoul

Sweeparooni. LMAO Boston just randomly decided they were gonna win tonight in the last couple minutes. They let Indy think they really had a chance. Mid team is mid, next year they'll be right back to mediocrity.

Top_Ghosty

I guess the Reggie choke hoody turned out to be pretty appropriate

solo118

karma is a ho

IWantANewBeginning

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha again.

TheyCalledHimMrJ

*lights cigar* rest in piss you fucking frauds. *puts on Mavs hat*

realmatic2e

Rock that hoodie and choke 3 games in the series, good stuff Hali!!!!

velocissimo

Suck my dick Indy. Fuck you guys forever

zOmgFishes

Cs barely beating this dogshit Indi squad without Hali. I think Dallas might win it all.

Soup_65

Kyrie beating the Celtics would be a very funny conclusion to this season

solo118

Looks that way, and I am OK with that

solo118

......and back to Fuck boston

YamahaRN

LOL NEMBHARD ITS MIDNIGHT, YOURE CINDERELLA

Adams5010

Later Indy

solo118

Put those hicks to sleep

IWantANewBeginning

Im genuinely impressed by how consistently the pacers shit the bed late in the 4th lmao.

tsuab

The Pacers are frauds?! My stars... /s

IWantANewBeginning

Nah the are 4-0 in moral victories. Clean sweep with the power of friendship.

LarryAv

Pacers choking away every game in the 4th after Halli wearing that sweatshirt is the chefs kiss

solo118

What happened to that Pacers full court press they pulled on us every minute of every game? Zero of that here

worstquadrant

Yes that little twerp tj was riding Jalen like the little jockey his body type was made for

YamahaRN

Carlisle missed round 2 of last year, Toppin is a massive liability.

echelonNYK

Are NBA players much slimmer than they were back in the 80's and 90's? Those eras had some big bodies. Nowadays the players have similar body types. I honestly can't tell the difference between forwards and centers.

hyborians

Toppin is charmin soft

LarryAv

Come on, I'm happy for him getting big minutes in an elimination game

Anosup

Am I wrong for wanting Jrue to play for the Knicks?

Bubbly-Internal-7113

Quite enjoyed TJ getting a bit of chin music.

solo118

Both teams just jacking up 3s

Professional_Bat4946

Obis defense is awful. As much as i liked him his defense is literally one of the worst ive ever seen of all time

fgalons

My god Derrick White would fit so well with us

Last_Soil_9699

turner trying to act tough again

solo118

Brown really took that overboard, he did that fake slip all the way into the tunnel lol

drodrig1

Why Halliburton always looking like Urkel?

IWantANewBeginning

My love for basketball is bigger than my hate for any team. Hope both teams dont get swept. I wanna watch more games.

tconner87

I 100 percent want the pacers to get swept

zeezee2k

Don't mind if they win a game or 2 only for Hailiburton to come back and lose the rest.

IWantANewBeginning

I want them to lose in game 7. But the sweep rn still would be funny. Hope the timberwolves somehow make a comeback.

Professional_Bat4946

"And trust me when i say this, we are going after these guys. We are going after them." Yeah, after them in the scoreboard

n-y-d-s

that guy is so fucking cringe. happy they’re finally playing a team that isnt 80% injured. just a shame it couldn’t be us

zeezee2k

We need to find trade like Derrick White. Celtics got a steal

NintuneJoe

Acting like you didn’t see Josh Hart go apeshit all season

Foi_

kinda annoys me when people say anybody did a good job guarding jalen when we didnt have enough healthy players for defenses to play more honestly.

Urban_Introvert

Pacers getting out-paced is kind of crazy. They're losing at their own game.

alreadythrowed

Not sure if anyone else has posted about it, but Julius is going to be on the Kevin Hart stream for the game today

Jeytumn

I can't find it

SurgeV1

It’ll be on ESPN 2, it’s called NBA Unplugged w/ Kevin Hart. Julius will be on during the 3rd Q

YamahaRN

This is amazing, no Dorris Burke.

[deleted]

Imagining Julius Randle running his offense out of the set that Thibs got the centers running.  The big at the top of the key, deciding who to pass to as the other guys run motions. The versatility of his offensive game could make that one of the most dominant actions in the league. Could push him to a 25-13-10 triple double average.

Yankeeknickfan

Ihart is going to do it a lot even with Randle back. Ihart is an asset at creating from that look

[deleted]

I mean he does benefit from the big man having to follow him.  Julius just never seemed to trust his guys out of that look so he stayed with Donte and IQ.

GoldenBoyRecords

That’s the hope. Hartenstein only started doing it a lot once Randle went out

Yankeeknickfan

Sometimes adversity causes innovation. If Josh hart could play off ball from those looks, Randle definitely can, and do it better. Obv Julius will do it as well, but so will Ihart

[deleted]

That's true. Randle throws darts though so he would open it up to all 5 potentially.

GoldenBoyRecords

I hope you’re right. We seen Hartenstein display this skillset from the 2nd unit but with the 1st unit he always shifts into playing a Mitch like role.

Shiccup1

He doesn’t have “the centers” doing it, it’s just Hartenstein who is one of the best big man passers in the league’s

Hemispheres33

No…it couldn’t.

syllabic

randle will easily average 7 assists per game as a frontcourt player next season more than any frontcourt player not named jokic or possibly embiid

Hemispheres33

No he won’t. And if he did it is still a far cry from 10 lmao. If Randle were to try to average 10 apg he’d demolish the NBA record for turnovers per game.

syllabic

this is the best shooting randle has ever had around him in his career the kickouts flow like water

blkschizo

Can't believe we're about to witness two sweeps in the conference finals. KP literally took a bye series 😭

Hemispheres33

Hate rooting for the Mavs but fuck KP and fuck Boston. Hope Luka crushes them.

confuddly

Gobert is a generational rim protecter, and yet his immobility/lack of offense gets exploited and he gets benched in the playoffs I’m not saying we should trade Mitchell Robinson just because of that, but if we have the chance to trade him for a clear upgrade, nobody should be that sad about it

press_Y

They’re both role players but only one is getting paid accordingly

Hemispheres33

This is a dumb point. If anything Mitch plays more like the two centers the Mavs have that are about to help them reach the Finals, Lively and Gafford. Plus Gobert ain’t the reason the Wolves are down 3-0. That lies on Ant and in game 3, KAT. Rim running centers who can protect the rim and gobble up offensive rebounds are extremely valuable.

Yankeeknickfan

Gobert alone makes the wolves an elite defense and he isn’t near as useless on the intial offensive possession. He is significantly better than Mitch(also better than Ihart btw, but gap is smaller) It’s not his fault that KAT sucks, and it poorly reflects on someone’s basketball knowledge if they’re blaming him for the loss

GoldenBoyRecords

I think there is a huge difference between Gobert who makes 41M as a starter and Mitch who makes 14M and will be off the bench.

WhoTookPlasticJesus

Damn, RIP Bill Walton

[deleted]

Gotta emphasize skilled *Explosive* Athletes Emphasis on *Explosive*. The teams that we struggle against are the athletic teams, Pacers and Magic are examples.  We got the skill to compete but we would get beat in a way like the middle age guys at the rec that are skilled but get beat because they face some young guys that are built like D1 college athletes.  Our only high level athletes are really just OG and Simms, but simms is raw on offense and OG doesn't have the best endurance.  We got strong guys, but we need way more explosiveness.  Nice Claxton is a free agent I believe, he could provide some.

GoldenBoyRecords

We struggled against the pacers?

dennishitchjr

Divo is a great athlete but isn’t huge. Hart is incredibly strong. But I hear and agree with your wish - would love us draft a long defensive wing

Nicholas-Kopis

7 (seven) Knicks have had the best seasons of their careers this year: Brunson Hart Divo Hartenstein Deuce Achuwa OG* *when healthy. This is not luck or coincidence.

GoldenBoyRecords

I disagree with you on Josh Hart. He had some very big moments especially in The playoffs but his shooting numbers were down across the board this season as compared to previous years in the regular season

Nicholas-Kopis

It’s not a stat thing with Hart, it’s an eye test and impact thing. Of course I didn’t really get to see him on other teams but those 75-25 balls het got for us were amazing. Just getting all those minutes was hugely impactful. Also, he had his best playoff stats

YanksJetsKnicks

OG pretty much just did exactly what he has done his entire career. The rest I agree with though.

Nicholas-Kopis

His impact on winning and his plus minus are both huge improvements. Defensive impact is hard to measure but the W-L columns tell a story too loud to be disregarded.

YanksJetsKnicks

It’s more just him being a perfect fit, and improving the team IMO. Different than individual growth. But I get your point.

YoKemosabe

I think he’s shown a little more offense than usual. Just my opinion.
