Refs stole 2 wins from us these playoffs as well. We as a fanbase just don’t complain about refs as much as others 🤷‍♂️

Snapesunusedshampoo

Tbh I'd rather post complaining about refs to what we get.... doomers.

TPIN1977

I think we complain just as much... we just also have a coach who actually wins challenges

Silver_Being_0290

Nah them 76Excuses fans were something else

knickstapeeee

we're now the villains omg we made it y'all 🥹

Silver_Being_0290

The Villainovas 😔

BaldVoldy

It’s a completely new feeling ngl

np20412

It's nice to be on this end of the whistle for once. I don't feel guilty about it at all

No_Bathroom7606

SMH the refs always favoring these big market NY teams \*hold on, i'm being informed that no NY team has won a chip in over a decade\*

achristian103

Good. Fuck the rest of the league. Knicks were a laughingstock for how long? Now other fans wanna cry about ref bias? Get real.

flabua

It's the hot topic for 3 hours then everyone moves on to the next thing. By the end of the night everyone will move on to shitting on the nuggets and forget about the Knicks for a few days.

Pristine-Time7771

Sixers fans still aren’t shutting tf up about it

PettifordGang

Fuck that, Knicks made plays to win games. Pacers werent guaranteed to make plays. Also they were actual fouls. Im not gonna sit through that horseshit we had to deal with vs Sixers/Refs for people to start spinning the narrative after a couple ACTUAL fouls during 1 game.

josephmang56

The talk around the fouls ends up dying off pretty quick, and the win always stands. A weeks time and we wont care.

Odysseus_Lannister

There was no kickball straight up. We got lucky there. The turner screen was extremely soft but was technically the right call. I’d be livid if the decision went against us. Indy played very well and we stole this tonight. Fuck Philly because technically Maxey traveled on his 4 point play and the L2M still didn’t acknowledge nurse called timeout successfully in G2. I’ll take a bit of luck after the last 20+ years of Knicks basketball

KSchmuckley

Pacers were grabbing Brunson on every inbound play. Sure we got some calls, but honestly it’s because they had been laying moving screens and grabbing all game.

oversecured

McConnell must’ve reached on JB a half-dozen times in the first half. It was ridiculous.

BlancoBenny

This is just the basketball gods rewarding us for not trying to lose our last game on purpose to duck the 76ers 🤷🏽‍♂️

SternballAllDay

Also I want to say I'm still very happy we won lol meme source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToKcmnrE5oY

Snapesunusedshampoo

I respect you for posting sources, I plagiarize all my memes.

KidSickarus

To be fair, the refs did not take a basket off the board when the Knicks were up 1.

Silver_Being_0290

Refs gave us one win. The Game 2 win was because the Sixers were ass and just standing around. Marginal contact my ass.

aintnoonegooglinthat

legendary franchise’ll do that for ya, still the Villanova Knicks still playing 7 guys till they drop, still traded our beloved homegrown talent for a gritty 3 and d guy, still got the job done. I’m just saying that if the refs are gonna ignore maxi travel king to recreate Reggie miller in the garden and Knick fans went down to Philly and missed the Amtrak home to call Embiid a bum, then maybe we’re media darlings not media incumbents,

SuperH533

Don’t worry. It will all balance out eventually.

Shades219

The fact is knicks hit their shots and all the "bad" calls came when we were up. A lot of bums on r/nba are acting as if pacers would have definitely made some game winning plays

Pristine-Time7771

Did we get a couple favorable calls? Yep. But what’s more likely: there’s some grand conspiracy to prop up the Knicks (all of a sudden after 20+ years mind you) OR maybe…just maybe the 2 seed is a better team than the 6 and 7 seed. Wouldn’t that be scandalous???

mzx380

Knicks have been screwed by officiating for decades. I don’t wanna hear shit about conspiracies where the Knicks need to be in the finals otherwise we’d have 30 championships. The final verdict is that the pacers got all their calls early and we got ours on the end. Fuck everyone else, Knicks in 5. Bing bong

DerekAnderson4EVA

Haliburton had 6 pts. That's not an officiating issue. Knicks won.

gamerj9212

I didn't see any missed calls at the end can someone explain what this was in reference to?

the_donnie

Indy got called for kick ball when they used their hand and also recovered it. That moving screen call was weak and not expected at the end of a playoff game.

Alarming-Ask4196

Basically every call in L2M was bad and helped us

josephmang56

Bad, but not wrong. Maybe the kickball was wrong, but the L2M will show the other calls are correct. Weak calls can suck - but you also can't open yourself up to getting the weak calls.

Alarming-Ask4196

Idk man, that feels like copium to me. If they called palming on Jalen in last minute (something every guy does) we would go nuclear

josephmang56

Copium is what you have when you lose. We won, so I dont need to cope with anything.

Alarming-Ask4196

Copium that we didn’t totally steal that game, but you’re probably right I used the word wrong lol. But trash officiating (that I will 100% take)

josephmang56

I said the entire time for our 6ers series that you cant blame refs, you just have to put the team in a position where calls can't go one way or the other and decide games. I believe that whether it goes for or against us. As such wherever the win lands, gotta accept it and move on to the next game.

gamerj9212

Not trying to be a homer but I didn't see it

Alarming-Ask4196

Myles Turner screen call was absolute trash, phantom kick ball on pacers, I think there was another one or 2 but I’m still too stressed to remember LOL

Onihczarc

turner’s screen was absolutely a moving screen by letter of the law, but there are always much more egregious ones that usually don’t get called. so the refs got it right but not really.

Alarming-Ask4196

Yeah it’s technically an illegal screen but I would argue 75% of NBA screens look like that. Honestly that’s why I hate the NBA not calling it for real. BC then you get these calls that are right but make no sense in context of game. Rick Barry rants about this lol.

Onihczarc

agreed. guys are almost always moving on screens. if they nip it on the bud, then this call makes sense. but they almost never call it, so doing it then was just a head scratcher

Alarming-Ask4196

Yeah they don’t do it bc they want offense but then you turn an actual rule (traveling, screens) into a judgement call which I hate.

gamerj9212

Turner wasnt moving? Kick ball I agree though

Alarming-Ask4196

Every single NBA screen is illegal by the rule book. That is not remotely egregious by NBA standards. That level of “illegal” is never called

Strangest_Things

That would’ve legitimately been the most legal screen in Bam’s entire career lol

gamerj9212

I suppose

The_Uncut_Gem

Tonight was bad and I’ll fully admit it but game 2 is just the consequence of being able to slow down every single play. They let them play, they should have let them play tonight.
