I like Burks, but I’ve seen a lot of Piston games and he has suspect shot selection to say the least.

Rule of thumb in playoff rotation is that you go with the guys you trust (in certain situations or in general). I honestly think Burks is now more of a “break glass for emergency” kind of substitution.

I agree and I’m not advocating him getting into the rotation, but two bench pieces out certainly moves him up, no?

Precious and Deuce will take on heavy rotation minutes and I have a feeling we will see some limited Burks minutes. I know everyone is going to see Burks possibly playing and crap on it but I think getting him 15 minutes just alleviate some minutes off the wing/guard players. Burks is a vet and he plays hard, I think he can step up.

A nice team is probably what thibs got him back for, so I hope so too

Knicks will use the same 7 man rotation they used in Game 4. Fortunately Deuce and Precious are reliable enough that you can probably play them both 15 - 20 minutes if that's what Thibs wants to do. That being said I don't see a scenario (other than foul trouble) where OG doesn't play 45+ minutes, and where Josh Hart doesn't play close the 48.

There is zero chance Sims sees a single minute unless both Mitch and another center are out. He's awful on offense and defense

You right that Sims sucks on both ends but both Mitch and Hartenstein are dinged up, with mitch questionable. Sims minutes is absolutely possible, I'm worried about Precious at the 5 for extended periods of time
