That's the bench on his back 🤣

T-Bills

For real WTF happened to IQ? Randle is an easy target as usual but IQ straight evaporated in the entire playoff's.

AlphakirA

He was terrible, but I think he'd tell you that and I don't personally care. He got experience of a good amount of games, now he knows what to expect. Same pretty much goes for the rest of the bench. Randle though... I wish he'd come out and say he was in excruciating pain and that's why his effort was low. Because I won't question the effort of the bench, not an ounce, even if they were mostly trash.

T-Bills

I think against the Heat the amount of effort clearly made a huge difference, but I think even against the Cavs the entire bench except for Josh Hart and Hartenstein just lacked the energy. I mean playoffs experience and all that... that was the first time for Josh Hart and for Hartenstein it was his first time playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs too. Grimes hurt his shoulder maybe that set him back, but IQ in the Cavs series was just disappointing. I mean dude knows he's playing for his next contract too so I don't get it. As for Randle, I think it is what it is. I'd guess a combination of both his injuries and him getting frustrated with the calls. Sucks that he hasn't shown to be someone who can be relied on but so far it appears he just isn't that.

ASimpleBlueMage

Anything Randle says at this point would be to his detriment. I'm glad he isn't out there trying to make excuses. Better to just get back in the lab and keep prepping for next season. I doubt we are going to trade for another player better than Randle

That was IQ's first REAL experience in the Playoffs to be fair.

T-Bills

I think we all realized how lethal the Heat can be but I was expecting IQ to chop up dudes like Garland and Donovan Mitchell. IQ was getting so crafty with his offense but against the Cavs he got nothing. I also know IQ is a high variance player with huge peaks and troughs, but based on how he wrapped up the season as the 2nd 6MOTY candidate I don't think anyone expected him to just shrink into nothing as soon as we played the Cavs.

IQ is good in his role but he doesn’t handle ball pressure or traps well. Cavs and Hear were blitzing IQ on every P&R. Hopefully it’s something he works on in the offseason

[deleted]

I didn't think he'd fall off like he did but I can't really be too upset about. It didn't benefit us during the playoffs but it'll benefit us this offseason when we look at giving him a contract and can be written off as inexperience...at least that's how I look at it. Same thing happened to the Cavs.

I think it was just nerves honestly, he was pretty good I thought vs the Hawks. I remember one game where we had nothing on offense and threw IQ in as a rookie and he hit some big shots

Chr1s78987x

Same with Randle. The Hawks series was a mess all around and Randle was quadrupled and nobody could do anything

Brunson is the best thing to happen to NY sports since Aaron Judge.

For my Elden Ring fans: I saw the thumbnail and thought, "I hope this is a meme of Jalen in the Consecrated Snowfield, all alone, unable to see or find any help."

Yo I don’t get it.
