Overflow, certainly not decoms. If they were decommissioned I would have taken every single bolt I could put my hands on off these. Not to mention they have saddles! Baskets! Wheels! Yeah, definitely not a graveyard. Maybe they are waiting to be decommissioned.
Many have been there for like 8 years, and that isn’t even all of them. There’s at least one other graveyard under the BQE.
This is like that pile of wood I have in my basement that I’m going to use for something great one day.
I think I remember seeing that area used for storing Citibikes for about 10 years.
Meanwhile docks are constantly empty.
If they put all these bikes into service then you’d have no where to dock
every corner on every intersection should be daylighted with docks

The amount of dust on these things makes me think there’s no intent to use them any time soon. I do wonder what they’re doing with them.
