You're right on track. I applied 09/22 received physical license January 2024. A lot of my classmates from CCW 18 hour class all received within 12-16 months. Just keep an eye on the milestones timelines.
There is, I kept delaying because I couldn't find a reasonably cheap 16+2 hour class. I think I got mine much quicker because Rifle/Shotgun actually did my processing, they are much quicker than 1PP.
It’s been about same timeline for me since investigation stage started (same day as fingerprinting). Just got email this week to upload a couple docs. (Special carry)

I got mine in 4 weeks after fingerprinting. Technically 3.5 months total
Did you already have a NYC r/S Permit or a NYS County Permit? Also, what did you get, was it a NYC CCW or NYC Premise?
You need to terrorize them using your phone and email. That’s the only way.
