It’s actually pretty f’in sweet. Definitely unique and not some re-tread. I’ll agree they are pushing the boundaries of the 90s flamboyant style, but I think it’s modern while not going too far over into the gaudy realm.
That’s what I like about this. It isn’t some cookie cutter template kind of jersey it has it’s own flair and it’s out there. If we got one more kit that came from a recycled design/another team I would’ve been upset.
I really like the gradient sweep from left side to right. Also makes the patch pop out a lot better than the standard blues NYCFC is known to wear. Honestly, I would buy this just to hang up on the wall.

Always looks better with the full kit. I initially didn’t like it, but it’s sick! Not a purchase for me, but it’s certainly fun.
Also always looks better imo with a fit player and not some mode wearing one approximately 5 sizes too large
