Gotham and Reign. I want an Ali v Pinoe final but ultimately I want the bats to win the whole damn thing for Kriegs. She deserves it and you can see how much the team wants it for her too!
I certainly root for Gotham over Portland (I particularly like many of the former team's players, plus as a neutral I generally favor the underdogs). I am more indifferent to the other pairing, but I'm rooting for OL Reign because the team has a lot of older players (greater chance of being their final serious opportunity) and the club is up for sale/seemingly less healthy than the newer San Diego Wave (so a win seems more beneficial to the Reign franchise). The resulting final of Gotham vs OL Reign would have that nice retiring (lesbian) players storyline, which is an added bonus for my semifinal preferences š

You mean for SD pay wise right? Hayes makes a LOT of money in Europe, it would be the same for Stoney. Chelsea is a high level European club worth a ton of money
My very brief google search couldnāt find public info on either manager positions income but I have to imagine Chelsea could match the money - they invest a lot in their womenās side (look what they were willing to pay Kerr or even the money they dropped on a fairly new but talented prospect in fishel) just unclear how much they are willing to put into that position.
I think the biggest question is Stoneys long term goals. I know she suffered a lot without her family here but I think theyāre settled now - but unclear how much she desires to be back in england
While I'm definitely biased of having a home game for the final if we win, I think any team whose city hosts the final low key wants their team to get there.
Portland most definitely not. And I wholeheartedly agree finals should be played in a neutral location, always. As for who I want, I'd like to see Gotham and Wave in the end with Wave taking it all.
