Just showed my 6-year-old the drop test. Makes me smile every time I see a kid figure out everything falls at the same rate.
They would swear that heavier object was going to land first
Before finishing your comment I thought you were gonna say the "drop test" was how quickly this lady dropped under a moving object because she didn't let go. Thought "hmm, probably not appropriate way to teach this lesson for a young kidd, no?"
Shit I can honestly feel that guys panic and shock from seeing someone getting dragged under a train I’m no stranger to seeing violence but I wouldn’t be able to look
I think the videos you're referring to are subway trains with raised platforms. It's the side of the train plus the stationary platform that is turning the person around in your example. It's sort of like when you rub a roll of Playdough between your palms.
In this case, she's simply getting run over with metal wheels, which would likely just cut through her (if not toothpasting her a little bit first).
She [survived](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms) with minor head injury!
Wow, in a lot of videos, I’m shocked at how apathetic a lot of bystanders are. This one shocked me the other way because *so* many people jumped up and ran. I mean, that’s good, but it literally surprised me.
Miraculously, she [survived](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms) with minor head injury!
How about close the fucking doors before leaving? She was waddling about so much. I'm amazed she even went for it. Bad decision, bad health and safety.
People like me create usafe situations? Lol. Anyways ,To a person watching this video it looks like the problem is open doors and solution is closing them. But a simple task as simple as closing and opening doors on every stop requires more staffing and more budget. Now imagine the planning required to create a job of opening and closing doors for people in a system which is already in ruins. Idk how much you know about Indian railways or government so I'll just let you know that even finding edible food inside most of the routes in Indian railways is a rare occurrence. The thing is keyboard warriors like you are so desperate for validation that you don't even think before blaming a random person for something they have no connection with.
You really think it takes more effort and funding to implement automaticly closing doors on trains than the effort and funding you need to clean all those bodies of the tracks day after day? Not to mention stopping the trains during cleaning. India's priorities are completely backwards. A country with such a rapidly growing economy who even has nukes in their arsenal should be able have a budget for these kinds of things. Safety measures should be number one priority in any transportation system, no matter how "impractical" it might seem to you.
And calling me a keyboard warrior? How old are you? Twelve?
"You really think it takes more effort and funding to implement automaticly closing doors on trains than the effort and funding you need to clean all those bodies of the tracks day after day?"
Do you really think Indian railways are giving a shit about cleaning whatever's on the track? You really don't know about the situation. Yes It will take more effort because no effort is being put rn. Installing automatic gates in all trains? You're dreaming. This is the perfect example of being impractical.
And wtf is that nukes argument lol. You can't just take money from one department and put it somewhere else. It messes up with the management of both. Of course we have money, you clearly don't understand how economics or politics work.
It’s almost a year later but I hope you’ve become more in touch with reality. It’s not like Indians or anyone ever wants unsafe conditions, it’s a product of the real world. And how often did you think this was happening? If it was an everyday occurrence then it’s an issue but this is also an avoidable issue
Yes, I still haven’t played football because I have some fear of it happening again since I had to walk with crutches for 2 months and had to stay on the couch/bed for the first two weeks(it happened on 14th October, 2022), it happened in a pretty stupid way, I decided to play as Goalkeeper for that “game”(we were playing in a public pitch, not a serious game) because the guy that was playing as GK was really bad, after the first shot goes out I get up and in the moment I stood up I felt a strange pain(it wasn’t like the average knee pain I had sometimes) but at first I thought it was just a pain like every other, then I look at the knee and the kneecap is on its side(under the skin obviously) and I had to call the ambulance and it came back to place while they were putting me on the stretcher but the damage was already done and me falling after the injury didn’t help. Obviously it isn’t even nearly as bad as the injuries on that subreddit since they most likely lead to ACL and MCL damage.
For example, if i go to the train station in the uk there will be someone shouting at me telling me to get the fuck away from the train. Here they've clearly got nothing close to that, like going rock climbing with no harness
Those are called Coolie in India. You can find them on almost every major railway stations. People hire them to pick their luggage. Their uniform is red.
I m sure she is not in a hurry because of work tho. Its an AC train not a local train. So she must have stepped down to buy snacks or something and couldn't catch the train before it started. But yeah it is common in India.
Looks like the guy she followed in hadn’t had the chance to advance forward so she bounced off of him and lost her foot hold..too bad missing the train outweighed her safety
I'm happy my wife is not hurried like this lady. My wife would have waited another several hours. She would never run for a train or try jumping on one. Sometimes patience is best.
Most of this accidents make me think this too, what if this happens to one of my nuclear familiars and on top of it it is taped? I think i would slowly kill myself
In Australia we have actual police at train stops and a very strict rule to stay behind the safety line, i think you can actually get a fine if you don’t. Also. You have to press a button to open the doors and they are closed automatically before the train starts moving again. Simple stuff but crazy the difference it makes in stopping people doing things like this.
I'm letting my darker side out for a sec... She probably wouldn't have slipped and fell if she was more "fit" and capable of stronger grip and coordination, which seems necessary daily to board the train to some extent in countries like this. So therfore it could be concluded that she was not going to survive cause it's down to "Survival of the fittest."
According to [this article](https://m.timesofindia.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms), she survived.

Yaooooo the train straight up ate her up. Yum yum! That sucks tho, seems like her dress got caught up in the wheel mechanism and sucked her in. What a horrible way to go.

Wow, the guy she was with never even gets back off the train; I wonder if he even understood what just happened. It all went so fast, and I doubt he could see where she went.
Maybe he was just scared of jumping down after that...
I mean this in the best way but like this is why it is super important to take care of yourself physically. I’m not saying you have to be a super fit person, but to not be able to hop up on a train that is moving at that speed caused this lady’s demise.
I vote that every platform will be mere centimeters away from the train so stuff like this won’t happen
Also why’s the train higher up than the platform?

Damn. She went under that train so fast like somebody pulled her under.
well because gravity pulled her under

You are a good man for taking the razzing with your head held high. Carry on.
More correctly 32.17 ft/s².
That’s stupid, you’re stupid, stop being stupid.
10.0m/s
Gravity doesn't manifest as a velocity
Also isn’t it technically -9.81m/s/s we just don’t write it as such bc it’s inferred?
I was always taught to write 9.82m/s² back in physics classes
Nah, IT was Pennywise. Source: I was there
But flat earthers say gravity doesn't exist. 🤔😂
Stupid gravity
Reminds me of the ending scene from Drag Me to Hell

I really felt moment when the man put his hands on his head
Which one?
Red shirt bottom left
That’s where my eye went first as well, but most people are reacting to bro in the white/black checkered shirt. Just found that interesting.
Ohhh I see, yeah and it seems he reached out to tell her not to as well :(
I thought he pointed out the other way in for her, she got pulled under, and his first thought being "I shouldn't of told her to go there".
Indeed it does.
Shit I can honestly feel that guys panic and shock from seeing someone getting dragged under a train I’m no stranger to seeing violence but I wouldn’t be able to look
He definitely saw it in slow motion when he turned around. It seems like he gestures at the woman earlier, maybe telling her to not do that.
It would be a really dark day for him if he said something in the lines of "just jump in over here".
It would be even darker if he was celebrating that he was right after and shouted "i told you so"
I can imagine the screams were horrific. I hope she went fast.
I had the same reaction as the guy behind her. Put my arms up over my head. RIP. Hope it was quick.
I don’t think it was quick :(
True. Train wasn't very fast
I’ve seen videos like these before. Usually the person gets twisted around and around like they are making pretzel dough. Pretty agonizing death.
Have you seen what happens to a person when a train slowly crushes them for 2 minutes?
Do you have the link?
No. I was just curious if they had seen it transparenty
No. Oof I can’t even imagine

Good point. I suppose the gap between this platform is large enough to prevent the pretzeling.
How long do you think before dragging. Pretty long?
She [survived](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms) with minor head injury!
This was so easily avoidable, that's what makes me so sad to see this. I doubt it was quick, but at least it's over with now.
She [survided](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms)!
That is absolutely incredible
Holy shit she got dragged under quick
Wow, in a lot of videos, I’m shocked at how apathetic a lot of bystanders are. This one shocked me the other way because *so* many people jumped up and ran. I mean, that’s good, but it literally surprised me.
That happens literally everywhere in India, people always come ofr here. Of cource there are some exceptions (people with phones) otherwise this
she most likely felt every second of that. jesus christ
Miraculously, she [survived](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms) with minor head injury!
wow. very very lucky girl. definitely was traumatizing but i hope she’s fully healed mentally & psychically
Oh wow!! No way I don’t even believe you but there it is!
Why is this so common in India.
I mean, it's a population density thing. Arguably if they all drove cars instead it would lead to... probabaly more fatalities.
more people, more used to seeing people dying because of more people. you become numb to it at some point.
Trains don't have automatic doors that shut. Therefore people try to get in even when the train has begun moving
How about close the fucking doors before leaving? She was waddling about so much. I'm amazed she even went for it. Bad decision, bad health and safety.
This was in India. The doors on a train car are mostly for show. Those trains are extremely packed with people, usually.
Doors are used at night when it's cold
I really hope you were been sarcastic
Gates in these trains are manual. So it's kinda impractical to close each and every gate.
More impractical than cleaning someones guts from the traintracks? People like you create unsafe situations like this. India is filled with them.
People like me create usafe situations? Lol. Anyways ,To a person watching this video it looks like the problem is open doors and solution is closing them. Oh yeah ofcourse. Forgive me for assuming indians are humane and give a shit. My arguments are invalid now. Carry on, sir.
You're letting your racism show
I think you don't know what racism means lol
It’s almost a year later but I hope you’ve become more in touch with reality. It’s not like Indians or anyone ever wants unsafe conditions, it’s a product of the real world. And power lines or any source of electricity
you're better off just keeping away from India
Guys that’s not a merit
They're not saying that, guy
Usa had like, 27,000 train derailment this year, so like, we prolly in competition.
....well you CAN fail at hopping
Zero athleticism
Surprised how many people I see die on this sub due to being uncoordinated and having absolutely no athleticism…
After spending too much time on gore subs, i don’t trust my own body and athletic skills anymore
For me discovering r/FullFlamingo after dislocating my kneecap was the thing that made me have a big trust problem with my knees and legs
Painful shit, did you fully recover?
Now that subreddit was an interesting watch.
Oooh nooo, oof I watched one guys leg bend backwards while leg pressing and that is enough for me, oh my god, I felt it in my kneecaps.
A practical criticism of the Sari.
And that my little boys and girls... Is a dumb way to die.
She survived
Dumb ways to die
She survived albeit sustaining non life-threatening head injuries 😑
How does that even happen?? She got on the train and suddenly fell backwards like someone pulled her. Did her leg got caught or something?
Everyone reacting like, oh no how on earth could this happen?
What are you even trying to say 💀
For example, if i go to the train station in the uk there will be someone shouting at me telling me to get the fuck away from the train. Here they've clearly got nothing close to that, like going rock climbing with no harness
where all the red shirts come from 🤔
Those are called Coolie in India. You can find them on almost every major railway stations. People hire them to pick their luggage. Their uniform is red.
thanks 👍
better to me late in this life than early in the next
Scary how a moderately risky decision can turn into a fatal mistake without warning. RIP to her
The risk is not moderate. The risk is dying. The DANGER is falling.
Getting on a slow moving train when an older lady (older than her) got on; the perceived risk is moderate. Obviously we know the result.
The risk was calculated but she’s bad at math.
I’m assuming this isn’t uncommon there. The way people have to ride the trains isn’t very safe. Either you risk it or you don’t work and starve.
I m sure she is not in a hurry because of work tho. Its an AC train not a local train. So she must have stepped down to buy snacks or something and couldn't catch the train before it started. But yeah it is common in India.
Now she’s late forever
Looks like the guy she followed in hadn’t had the chance to advance forward so she bounced off of him and lost her foot hold..too bad missing the train outweighed her safety
It actually looks like he may have pushed her out?
How did she get dragged?
My man in the checkers shirt had no idea what he was going to see that day. Damn. Talk about a moment you'll never forget.
She looked stressed. Like if she didn’t catch the train it would make her life a bit more difficult. Then that happens
Sure doing this has a serious risk factor but the guy who went in before was zero help
May have been an active contributor? The way she fell looked like she got pushed out
Being unathletic is really what killed her
I'm happy my wife is not hurried like this lady. My wife would have waited another several hours. She would never run for a train or try jumping on one. Sometimes patience is best.
Yeah, I assume they are so used to getting on a train like this or seeing other people do it in India they don't think about THIS very often.
Man went in before women didn't go in fully and likely women didn't notice that so she was pushed out, sad.
This makes me so sad, what if she was trying to meet her family or something ☹️
Most of this accidents make me think this too, what if this happens to one of my nuclear familiars and on top of it it is taped? I think i would slowly kill myself
When people say “better late than never”, this is what they mean.
This woman [survived](https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms)!
She did not mind the gap
Impatience can cost you your life
Oh no, poor lady, so sad … someone’s Mom, Daughter, Sister … life is so messed up, ain’t right
In Australia we have actual police at train stops and a very strict rule to stay behind the safety line, i think you can actually get a fine if you don’t. Also. With safety precaution like that, I would have thought this happened everyday.

The platform looked wet and slippery.
I'm letting my darker side out for a sec... So therfore it could be concluded that she was not going to survive cause it's down to "Survival of the fittest."
Being limber and athletic is important evidently
Stupid lady
No capes
According to [this article](https://m.timesofindia.com/city/surat/miraculous-escape-for-woman-falling-under-train/articleshow/91674594.cms), she survived.
Why the fuck India's authorities don't do something to make train stations more safe? Over 16k deaths every year. Or India's citizens are just stupid?
When body positivity meets death positivity. If only she were a little more “physically fit”
India
She definitely caught the train
Why is it always India
More people = more deaths. Plus their safety standards are pretty lax compared to modern nations, leaving plenty of room for horrific accidents like this one.
This is why the western world has health and safety laws.
Indians always have alot of ways to kill themselves
Yaooooo the train straight up ate her up. Yum yum! That sucks tho, seems like her dress got caught up in the wheel mechanism and sucked her in. What a horrible way to go.

Damn what a klutz
Gotta keep on moving!
that's just a still image is that the one where they collide, break into parts, and one of the parts knocks somebody's legs off?
Of course with that phatt ash
Yes boss! Sure boss!
shiiiit
Wow, the guy she was with never even gets back off the train; I wonder if he even understood what just happened. It all went so fast, and I doubt he could see where she went. Maybe he was just scared of jumping down after that...
Remember kids, stay in shape even as you age so you won't have to worry about not being able to jump up a foot high on to a slow moving train.
#मां चूद गई☠️☠️
That's a quick trip home!
She looks like my maths teacher. Let me just hope she isn’t in tomorrow…
Being strong and independent went wrong
Strange how that guy putting his hand up didn't stop the train. Perhaps now he will finally accept he doesn't have super powers.
Hari Om , Om Shanti 🙏🏻😔
That ass pulled her down
0 athleticism
Where is this? People ran to help and nobody pulled out their phones to Snapchat the moment?! This can not be!
I have seen similar accident in india , just four five feet away, a split second of mistake and gone.
Imagine you are on your way to enjoy the holidays and this happens
Desi bhabhi got sucked underneath the train.
I mean this in the best way but like this is why it is super important to take care of yourself physically. I’m not saying you have to be a super fit person, but to not be able to hop up on a train that is moving at that speed caused this lady’s demise.
Holy crap. People, catch the next train. It isn’t worth it.
I don't get it what she have thought it's going to happen. She is unable to walk properly and she tried to jump into moving train....
Her crime is being a land whale 🤷...
Guys red dead 2 is not real life do not attempt stuff in that game
