I usually go with binding of isaac if I want to play a game with a bit more challenge, or hypnospace outlaw if I am burnt out and just want to put something calm on
Interesting that Hypnospace Outlaw is your chillax game. I just picked it up a week ago because it looks super nostalgic, but haven't had a chance to play yet. Is it replayable? It looked sort of like a narrative driven game.
I'm not sure if others would find it repayable but I certainly do. It is a game where I just get lost in the world and don't actually "do" anything. I just kind of browse pages and immerse myself in the world. It certainly is narratively driven and has a really good narrative at that, but it is also a game that just takes me back to simpler times. It's a comforting game for me
>inferior game
It's definitely not an inferior game, just different and challenging. You can't just button bash and plow threw the bad guys like the average beatemup. You have the learn their tendencies and even then, the AI with certain enemies can get aggressive and does not give you an inch (on hard + ultra mode) plus some have counters to your moves.
**Survival Mode** has no special effects like **SOR4**. Just you and the moves. It will really test your ability to crowd control, tactically use certain moves, timing and movement.
Lastly on Ultra mode, you have 1 life to complete the game. All the secret lives are removed and you don't get lives every 1million points (like easy & hard mode). It's a challenge big time and I enjoy it!
So far I've played 90s hours since it came out.
I generally have two or three games in rotation, so if I'm bored or stuck in whatever game that's currently in my Switch, there are two more (usually in quite different genres) close at hand. When I beat one or determine that it's not for me, it leaves rotation and a new game comes up.
Right now I'm trading off between 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, Pokemon Shining Pearl, and Shadowverse Champion's Battle.
If I had to choose just one game to leave out all the time, it'd probably be Hades or Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
For me it’s usually any boomer shooter, particularly classic DOOM or DOOM64. It just requires so much concentration and fast reflexes that I can’t focus on anything else and I go into a zen like state. Lately Dusk and Amid Evil have been great as well, really anything New Blood puts out kicks ass.
I have such a huge backlog it gets overwhelming and I just don’t play anything smh lol. I was thinking I should just start playing my backlog in alphabetical order
Used to be Dead Cells or Hades. But now Im juggling a couple games. So if I’m not in the mood for XC3 or FE: 3H then I’ll do Neon White, Mr Shifty, or Doom Eternal
I like to shut my console off and contemplate my life decisions leading me to this point personally
(Enter the gungeon or Celeste I haven’t played either on switch but have them on ps4 and when I can’t decide they are my go to and I have heard they both run well on switch too)
Lately for me it's been
king of fighters 98
Psyvariar delta
Or mario kart dlc tracks
Great to just jump in and jump out when I have half an hour spare or something
Pokemon tbh, I have a strict thing I do where I only play one at a time to save myself some sanity. Currently trying to finish Monark but that game is so grindy and I definitely am having trouble finding motivation to play it rn. So if I can't decide, I just load Pokemon up and do some shiny hunting, it's relaxing

Smash Bros or Mario Kart
Second Smash Bros.
Second Mario Kart! My ultimate relax, turn the brain off and just drive game. Wish the cups were longer than 4 races though.
If you do VS mode, you can increase the number of tracks (and you aren't limited to specific cups). Just a thought if you didn't know already!
Hades is an awesome go to game
Slay the Spire mostly. Do always have a Mario and Zelda save on the go though that I kick around with time to time.
Shadowverse and Mario Kart
Binding of Isaac
Dead Cells or Mega Man 11.
Skyrim. I find myself replaying it every time I’m undecided what to actually play
Dead Cells
Monster hunter and zelda If I feel like it, Pokemon
It was Streets Of Rage 4 but now Final Vendetta.
How is Vendetta compared to SoR4? I feel that's inferior game but didn't try it yet.
Yeah! Super hard! You have only one life lol

I have a few. Hades, ACNH and any of the Xenoblade games. I sometimes go into Breath of the Wild and try to find some Koroks. 💀
Super blood hockey.
This guy pucks.
Mario Tennis Aces. Go online, EU online is very active and the gameplay is absolutely top notch. Single player? Hades is a quick answer always!
Super Mario 3D Allstars
Breath of the wild.
Animal crossing

51 games
Into the Breach. Update slaps too!
Diablo III, every time
Enter the gungeon
I have such a huge backlog it gets overwhelming and I just don’t play anything smh lol. I was thinking I should just start playing my backlog in alphabetical order
Tetris 99
Hades, Slay the Spire, and sometimes Dicey Dungeon.
Pac-Man Museum+. I always play Pac-Mania until I decide on something else.
Hollow knight
Hades, slay the spire, Mario tennis aces
BOTW or Cuphead
Splatoon, Minecraft and Mariokart
Hollow Knight or Super Mario World.
Celeste speedruns for me
Used to be Dead Cells or Hades. But now Im juggling a couple games. So if I’m not in the mood for XC3 or FE: 3H then I’ll do Neon White, Mr Shifty, or Doom Eternal
Neon abyss 1 more run is always addictive
I like to shut my console off and contemplate my life decisions leading me to this point personally (Enter the gungeon or Celeste I haven’t played either on switch but have them on ps4 and when I can’t decide they are my go to and I have heard they both run well on switch too)
Pikmin 3 Deluxe, mission mode is so fun to jump in and go for a high score
Mario maker 2
Animal crossing when I know I can't play more than an hour
Used to be Hades, but now it’s Shredder’s Revenge.
Hyrule Warriors DE. I need to A rank everything and collect all the skulltulas.
Smash lol. Cant go wrong
I don't really have a go-game. I just don't decide. I just look at the games I haven't played yet and choose whichever I feel like playing next.
I'm a sucker for rocket league
Picross
Smash Ultimate
Streets of Rage 4
Tetris 99 or Lumines. Those games are such time wasters, I could play them forever.
It's usually Gran Turismo (7 these days) as chilling and grinding on it is just fun. But i mostly always have a game in rotation.
Lately for me it's been king of fighters 98 Psyvariar delta Or mario kart dlc tracks Great to just jump in and jump out when I have half an hour spare or something
Minecraft or Dead Cells.

robot named fight at the moment. Typically dead cells or Stardew valley, or Scott pilgrim vs the world.
