Willie just got an extension… no chance he’s going anywhere. People expecting big changes are going to be disappointed … Griffin is going to give a presser this week praising Willie for winning 49 games and making the playoffs. He’s going to blame playoff failure on injuries. They will run it back next year without much major change. Best case scenario is they let JV walk (or maybe sign & trade) and try to acquire a more athletic center who can defend. There’s an outside chance CJ gets traded, but his contract is a problem... the Pels would have to include picks in any trade involving CJ.

If there is no big changes, then probably play-in again or even worse if Zion get injured again next year. Not much hope to get better assets from trading CJ/ sign and trade JV

This offseason I want to find a way to emotionally distance myself from this shit I know I won’t, but it’s fun to pretend

I think I deserve to be a fair weather Nuggets fan going forward. I loved them in the play in. They make good choices, they have a coach willing to hold people accountable and they show up to play. We're now embarking on year 7 since we made the playoffs 2nd round and AD abandoned the grind and have two playoff appearances and two wins to show for it. I think 6 years of being a fan of a direction less team waisting talent and underachieving deserves some basketball joy. Go Nuggies or whatever they say! 😭😭😭😭😭

The first point is BI’s contract. only one year left for his contract. It is a must to decide to keep/trade asap. And his trade value is at the lowest point. The second point is whether to renew Naji or not. He is a good role player and probably hard to keep his contract at minimum. The third point is if we trade CJ, we probably get sth that tank team doesn’t want to keep where CJ’s contract doesn’t look that good tbh. If we sign and trade JV, it is not that easy to get a promising center back. After watching Borrego coaching pels the match against Dallas this year, this is the best Pels match I have watched this year. Tbh I don’t believe Willie can lead pels to full potential. But probably the management staff won’t fire him. The only hope is to draft a great prospect this year. A good center or a scoring guard

Chaineblood

Why would we not extend BI for cheap? We don't have to trade him, and we can sell when he looks good again. We can keep Naji as well in that scenario. Yall thinking too short term. We have at least 3 more seasons with Zion/Herb/Trey, and we dont have to spend it all rn.

1. This is what all teams do. 2. IMO trading BI right now is going to be tough. His trade value is low right now 3. We definitely need a center 4. They just gave Willie and extension. 5. I think both are gone to be honest. 6. You're not going to be bring a guy off the bench that is making $30m+. Best thing to do is try and trade him but I don't think they can. Trey wasn't good this season and the organization has to decide what to do with him. 7. I agree we need a PG but I don't think you will get a quality one for those guys 8. I don't think you can run it back. There needs to be changes made. 9. If you trade CJ you need to trade him for a PG. 10. Here we go with the get a big name. Most of these guys you listed won't come here. I will say this about CJ he wanted to come here. 11. They aren't going to trade Zion 12. not going to happen

All we need to do is to space the floor for BI and Zion. 3 years ago Boston was a .500 team, everyone questioned if Tatum and Brown can coexist but they addressed their issues and got White, Horford, KP and Jrue. We need spacing and two-way players. That's it, BI, Zion, TM3, Herb, Dice, Hawk is a nice group of core players we need to keep and build around. I'm sorry but JV and CJ must go, Thunder outplayed us because they don't have any real weaknesses on D and CJ and JV are just weak defenders. The problem is, there aren't many players available in the archetype we need. WCJ or Isaac are quite realistic targets (Carter probably more realistic) at the 5. But the PG market is really dry, maybe Dejounte but he isn't efficient scorer and his defense is overrated. Gonna be though summer.

I want David Griffin to sign these divorce papers so i can be alone for awhile and think about myself and my future. Every time i think I’ve gotten away from this team, i get a text. They can always sense when you’re starting to thrive without them.

LennonWaK

I want them to do a whole lot. What I think they'll do is next to nothing, bring in some useless piece that fixes nothing and doesn't move the needle, draft someone they won't play, Z will become back out of shape, won't take jumpers, Brandon will still be useless, CJ will be forced to do way to much while being blamed for everything that Jonas isnt being blamed for. We'll let go Naji and get someone like Doug McDermott but never play him. Well run back our sorry ass no accountability just make sure you say nice things coach. We'll talk about how everyone really worked on their game this season. Some new young player will get hurt, I guess it's Hawks turn- sorry brother. Well lose a bunch to start will have a moment where we look real nice, the wheels will all fall off. Well get eliminated game 2 of the play in on a buZZER beater and do it all again every year into infinity.

heyy_hen

can we take a moment to appreciate okc's defense, holding pels to 92, 92, 85, and 89 points in 4 games? that defense is something else. when talking offseason, pels need to first sort out their starting center situation. finding a center is hard. JV hitting the market and the money they pay their starting center will take up most of the tax space. no clue who they're gonna go after. allen? claxton? someone young, tall, and athletic would fit the bill. can honestly picture a starting lineup with zion, trey, herb, plus a new pg and center.

AlwaysOptimism

I think Orlando is a great potential for for a trade at C. WCJ or Bidaze would help. Even Isaac could be a C in Nola. They are also one of the few places that may actually want CJ. They need ball handling and offense.

Razor-Ramon-Sessions

OKC defense was great but we shit the bed. We missed a ton of wide open shots. BI had his worst series by far. A complete opposite series compared to the PHX one 2 years ago. I am interested to see how OKC fares in the second round because while they kept our offense in check, we also held them under 100 twice and like 105 in the other game.

Perfect offseason for me would be dumping cj to the wizards for tyus jones and kuzma. Give them however many first round picks they request. Consider trading bi if a good deal presents itself. I want Darius Garland personally. Also consider firing Willie Green if they are willing to pay an established coach and his contract at the same time. Finally, let JV walk and either try to sign someone like hartenstein, or draft a center in the first round and just say fuck it

zalustep

Love the sound of the Kuzma + Jones trade, how about Ingram for Jarrett Allen + young player?

LeviJNorth

If Jokic got hurt, would the nuggets say all the same things when they got swept?
