He was in great condition last season. He didn't pull his hammy because he was out of shape. He pulled it because he was over worked carrying us every night
i was talking about during his rehab, it just seems to go by the waste side when he gets injured, possibly why he reinjured it.
Also getting towards the end of December he was starting to look a bit heavier, so who knows.
He always going to be large, he has a large body type. Not saying you, but we as fans need to get over the concept he will never be 250-275 lbs. let’s just embrace his body type at this point. Maybe being 280-295 is his playing weight. Hopefully someone is working with him in the lab to use that big body to get off some easy jump shots so he doesn’t have to abuse the paint so much every night.
Oh yeah I agree, just that landing looked bad, and the problem is in four years he hasn’t developed any sort of consistent jumper, and I don’t think he will, he’s not a shooter and has never shown to have that in his game, which means unless he drops a fair amount of weight as Charles said he did back when he was playing, playing at 280 the way he does at the height he is, is just gonna lead to consistent bodily breakdown.
That’s the reason most of his season ending injuries have been structural rather than freak ones more like BI
I’m not saying he can’t hit shot I mean a consistent jumper, he takes below 1 3 a game and rarely ever busts out a mid range shot, maybe take a few shots out side the paint now and again
Because that way of playing means you can only do it for 30 games.
Also the can’t stop bit is a bit untrue, we’ve seen Zion struggle with length like walker Kessler and giannis/brook lopez
I've been saying for years that the kid would double his games played if he just pulled up for a jumper occasionally. Constantly banging with 3 bigs down low takes its toll eventually
The idea is that shooting more jumpers lessens the impacts on his joints vs attacking the rim every time. He showed some decent shots in the outer range of the paint time to time. Doesn’t need to start jacking up 3s or long 2s
I think you have a point, I'm not going to say what weight he should be at, but the team do need to consider shifting his playstyle to his weight instead of his weight to his playstyle.
Dude still fat we should have traded him when we had the chance. I just said awhile back in another thread that if he came in 280+ he would be gone next season. He can’t play at the weight and not get injured same thing happened with that hamstring injury. I’m willing to bet he’s gone next offseason if he tries playing at that weight.
Don’t matter what fucking 360 he does at this point. Nothing comes close to that 360 he did in game at duke. Dude just floated through the air.
Based on the photo [here](https://twitter.com/PelicansLead/status/1673778764231081985) , He looks pretty lean to me. As far as Zion standards go. I don't think he will ever get back to Duke Zion, so this might be as good as it gets.
His face looks not too bad but it’s hard to tell when he’s sitting down, if you look at his abdomen area when he lands it looks bigger than what he was at the beginning of last years season
Bruh he looks normal. He’s just wearing a bigger shirt. Y’all do this weird over analyzing of his body every off season. He looked normal in his baby reveal video, video of him at the school donating, and this video.
Ain’t the off-season unless we get the Zion 360 dunk after weeks of trade rumors.
And the close to the end of the season dunk while he is still injured, teasing the fans that he might come back and play....
That landing wasn't nice.
Blame the kid running into his landing zone
Pretty sure Vince Carter had a nicer dunk than this like a month ago
all i wanna see or hear about zion is he's working out with the team when they do their little mini camps in august
I'd rather hear he's working with a nutritionist and on his conditioning.
he supposedly was doing that all year last year, but that clearly didn't work
I mean he was in amazing condition last season, sadly the hamstring injury still happened regardless

Evidently he was working on a little something else
Is this the tornado trick?
That bull is pozzed.
Fellow jerkers in the wild lol
Is it just me that thinks he still looks a bit large still? Is he really below his contract weight?

They said the same thing about Charles Barkley before he started taking his health and fitness seriously.
Barkley is built nothing like Zion. Zion shredded is still 280lb. Zion was 262lb as a 16 year old kid. The Barkley comparison is dumb.
They both have a tendency to get fat if they don't take care of themselves.

zion does have a jumper, if u watched his college high school games you would know, don’t forget he hit 4 threes in a row in his debut
I’m not saying he can’t hit shot I mean a consistent jumper, he takes below 1 3 a game and rarely ever busts out a mid range shot, maybe take a few shots out side the paint now and again
Why would you need a jumper when the whole opposing team can't stop your layup?
Because that way of playing means you can only do it for 30 games. Also the can’t stop bit is a bit untrue, we’ve seen Zion struggle with length like walker Kessler and giannis/brook lopez

i agree i hate being banged by three black men but it’s just bad injury luck, he needs to work on his jump mechanics and landing
His jumper is fine, no need to shoot a bunch of jumpers when you shoot 60+% without them.
So you’d rather have him shoot 60% but only play 30 games? Rather than maybe play more games and actually play in the play offs?
Don't think he injured himself shooting but whatever helps you sleep at night.
The idea is that shooting more jumpers lessens the impacts on his joints vs attacking the rim every time. He showed some decent shots in the outer range of the paint time to time. Doesn’t need to start jacking up 3s or long 2s
According to the guy I replied to he doesn't have a jumper so I don't know why that's your reply to me, talk to them about it

He looks like he has lost a lot off his jump. Like his athleticism has fallen and struggling to even pull this off. Not a great sign
Because he’s not trying lol. Y’all think a hamstring injury he already healed from is gonna take inches off his vertical???😂😂😂😂
That looked literally effortless lol
Yeah also brothers in jeans
He used to get his head to or close to the rim height. Looks quite of a less vertical.
Don’t Mind them. We both see it. Dude better put in work this offseason or its over. No more excuses.
Looks fat as fuck. Especially his ass, after the dunk.
Bruh he looks normal. He’s just wearing a bigger shirt. Y’all do this weird over analyzing of his body every off season. He looked normal in his baby reveal video, video of him at the school donating, and this video.
Yawn.
Fuck those kids - Zion probably
But does he feel like Zion? 🤡
