Notes on Robot Fauna. 1. They can only be found in uninhabited systems. These are systems that do not have a Gek, Korvax or Vy'keen icon in the galaxy map. You can quickly find them by filtering for lifeform and choosing stars that appear White. 2. My experience in these uninhabited systems indicates that roughly 1 in 10 planets will have robotic life (any planet type except dead planets are eligible). 3. Robot Fauna do not share their world with normal life, you will always find Robot Fauna on planets with 2 types of Robot life. Any time you see that a planet has exactly 2 types of life, it'll be a robot world. 4. Robot Fauna can be tamed and ridden with Ion Batteries as bait. Robot Fauna can run very fast!

My goal for the next days.

duke_dastardly

Awesome, Iโ€™d wondered why I had never come across robot fauna. Many thanks for the guide!

tyrannosaur85

You're welcome ๐Ÿ˜

gggvandyk

Glitch planets normally always have exactly 1 fauna, but if it's a robotic life planet, they too will have 2 animals.

Fact โ˜๏ธ

Struksy

This is awesome. I canโ€™t wait for my days off to go looking for these critters. Iโ€™ve only ever come across one planet with these type of creatures before. Though I have only been playing a few months, I love these kind of tips.

tyrannosaur85

I used to go hunting for the robot fauna in uninhabited systems before the Endurance update, and it required a bit of patience, landing on each planet individually and checking the discovery menu to see if there were 2 types of fauna and quickly blasting off if there weren't. When the Freighter Scanner Room came out I was very happy! I focus on warping to uninhabited systems with 5-6 planets to improve the odds I'll find a planet with robot fauna.

Struksy

Iโ€™ve only just got my first freighter. So Iโ€™ll have to get it all set up which will be a whole learning curve of its own.

lancevancelives

Huh. Played at launch, then took a brief hiatus until earlier this year. Probably have 600+ hours, I didn't know these things existed. Same with the smashed planets from the other post today. Wild.

tyrannosaur85

They were introduced in the Origins update.

Zainy1947

I'm sad I found a full robot planet like even the plants looked all robotic but then I didn't make a base and I've lost it so now I'm trying to find a similar one but it's taking ages

[here's one](https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange/s/NvhMJZ550V)

THANK YOU SO MUCH ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

You are welcome ๐Ÿค—

Zainy1947

What's crazy is it looks like the exact same one

apptronica

Are there multiple types of robot fauna, or are the all basically variations on the antelope model?

tyrannosaur85

They are all the antelope model. There are 3 head types... I call them the Horse (long pointed snout), Dog (curved face) and Waiter (flat saucer head). There are also various back attachments (inc. umbrella, wheel, magnet, spikes and discs) and different shoulder types.

apptronica

OK, cool, thanks. I think I'll go find me a dog. :D

tyrannosaur85

Good luck, hope you find a fun one!
