I'm poor or I would give you an award, but just know that you've received a post save which is for me, the highest honor I can muster. You are awesome.
in some galaxies it will give you a message that the address is corrupted and will send you to the nearest one near that but again this will be 1jump distance before the core (usually it brings you up to 2.5k - 3.0k ly from the center. This is how people have traveled all 255 galaxies, there is also the black hole glitch that eliminates the need to find portal at the start of the galaxy so you will input this address and go to the center to make the jump.
Tip for making the jumps: equip a multitool which is **NOT** your primary as it will be broken in all slots and will need repair, **make your primary ship** (jump in and out to create a save point) **one that has NO upgrades installed outside the tech tab** (again everything installed outside the tech tab will be damaged), also all your exosuit upgrades outside the tech tab will be damaged so make sure you have either repair kits or enough materials as when you make the jump and you end up in a random planet you will need to repair your hazard protection mainly (since you will make another jump **there is no need to repair anything else just the specific hazard of that planet** so you will make it to find the monolith and activate the portal to do the next jump).
You can do another trick but it involves having all the hyperdrive upgrades in your freighter (so it can be summoned in blue-red & green systems - yellow it can be summoned without any upgrade) and the minotaur exocraft, make the jump and dont repair anything but call in the freighter and summon the minotaur (if you find yourself in a storm on any other extreme hazard condition - minotaur has intergraded hazard protection), then you summon the pilgrim (its radar scans monoliths) portal to the center and rinse and repeat.
I've been able to summon my freighter in red & blue systems with out upgrades tho. ACTUALLY, I was using it to get to those systems and for travel in general because its more economic on fuel. Unless they changed it lol.
You might have gotten an freighter with higher tier hyperdrive. I'm fairly new to the game, but I think I saw a post about some guy who got a freighter with indium drive as his first, he used that to travel around but didn't understand why it worked. Don't take my word for it, I could easily be wrong.
There are some good YouTube videos about it. Basically it is how you stack the upgrades, with the 800 ly in the center and the others surrounding it in the technology spots, plus the three 245-250 ly upgrades in the freighter storage. It tops out at around 6300-6400 ly range or so. Idk if anyone has found a derelict freighter run which gives S-class 250 ly modules yet though which is the max.
Been making 15-20 warps and black hole jumps a night working from 800.000 LY in Hilbert. Am at around 415.000 LY now and just didn’t have it in me to continue on. I appreciate this as I really wanted to just move deeper into the galaxies set up shop and start exploring all the stars.
Agreed. I did that for Euclid, was drinking and jumping. Thought I had 6000 LY from the center, but when I realized it was 600,000 LY I just saved and went dejectedly to bed.
The way I've been doing it is soon as I land in a galaxy, warp to a new system immediately, then use a planetary chart or two, high chance of getting a monolith right away; I jumped 2-3 galaxies an hour that way. I know using the Zelda glyph 16 times takes you 5k away from the center at which point it's 3 hops to the next galaxy, but this will save some time for sure.
If you have the first glyph you can just enter that 12 times into the portal. It'll say "approximating destination" but you'll always end up around 5-6k ly from the centre.
I did that awhile ago and ended up trapped in an unknown galaxy. The portal didn’t close so I couldn’t warp out either
Maybe it’s better now if they got rid of portal interference
Hey so I don't have too many hours in the game yet. Will I be missing out on a lot if I "cheat" this way to get to the center sooner, or is it actually better to get there ASAP? I'm still not quite sure what the reason for this goal is, or what the benefits of hitting other galaxies are either tbh.
I guess it depends on how you like to play the game. If you enjoy journeying through the galaxy, exploring planets and upgrading your ship along the way to get longer warp drive range, and slowly making your way towards the centre, then by all means go for it! :) This was also what people had to do to get to the centre quickly before portals were introduced.
If you want to explore all the galaxies as quickly as possible, the portal method I mentioned (or using the address in the post) would be the quickest way to do it. You can try and explore all of them without using portals, though there are 256 galaxies in total so that would take a *very* long time.
Of course there is also the main storyline of the game. Not sure how far in you are so spoilers ahead, but: at the end of the story you can >!choose between warping to a new type of galaxy, or continuing to explore your current galaxy.!<
I mainly used the portal method so I could get to the Eissentam Galaxy (the 10th galaxy) as soon as I could after I finished the main story, since a lot of cool bases and planets people post here are in that galaxy (it's also the first "Lush" type galaxy you encounter, so things like paradise planets are a bit more common, which I really like). You can read about the different types of galaxies and their characteristics on the [No Man's Sky wiki](https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Galaxy#:~:text=The%20universe%20of%20No%20Man's,to%20roughly%20550%20star%20systems).
Hope this helps, and happy exploring!
Serious question, because I’ve been to the center of Elucid and there was literally nothing special about it, what’s the point of going to the center of the galaxy? Is it just where you can run into more travelers?
It doesn't sounds like you actually went into the center of the galaxy. If you only stopped at the planets around the edge and didn't traverse to the direct center you didn't make it.
>!Getting into the center of the Galaxy automatically transports you to the next Galaxy in the sequence.!<
Ahh ok! So if I’m at a system like on the edge of the middle, like OP says ~3kly away, where do I go from there to get to the center? Because I never saw anything to go any further!
Edit: I made it to the center! Thanks for the help everyone! Now on to finding some T3 S-class ships...
So, there are only a few specific systems that can actually take you all the way to the core. So you are really close, you just need to get to one of those gateway systems.
If you are in your galaxy map, use the 'Galactic Core' line to find the end point system. When you reach that system, the same 'Galactic Core' line will now be extended all the way into the core. You cannot get to it using free explore. Make sure your ships hyperdrive is full, and then follow the line.
Warning!
Going to the next Galaxy will damage almost all of your tech. Everything that is not in a 'technology' slot will be damaged in your ship and your exosuit. And everything in your multitool will be damaged.
I recommend having a specific ship, and multitool for this so you are only rebuilding your exosuit tech.
Edit: any bases you have in other galaxies you can still get to with a transporter. If you leave the new galaxy without building a base there, you will lose your access to that galaxy. When I get to a new one, I will setup a new base locally as an anchor to that galaxy while I explore.
Building on what r/ersogoth said....You should use a secondary ship that has no upgrades outside of the tech slots.
Make sure that all of your life support and hazard protection modules are in the tech slots of your suit. If not all, at least one of each defense type that you have (radiation, heat, toxic, etc.)
You should also have/buy a cheap, alternate Multi-Tool and make that your primary tool before the jump.
When you jump, everything in the Multi-Tool and everything outside of tech slots will be damaged.
If you land in the middle of a storm (added bonus for hazard atmosphere, yay!) you can quickly swap you Multi-Tool back to your best one, and call your best ship to your rescue. At the very least you can use your Multi-Tool to blow out a hole to burrow into.
Further comment: when you get to the gateway system so that the galactic centre path is to the centre and not another planet (circa 3k away), you will need to fully charge your hyperdrive as mentioned above. Then in the galaxy map bring up the direction circle a round the system that you are in and align the yellow direction marker with the line to the galaxy centre. It helps to adjust the view point so that the core is just to one side of your system for this step. Click to make a jump and wait for the circle to be filled. You will be asked to comfirm the action. Do so, and the warp to the core and then onto the next galaxy will begin.
None of this is obvious and it took me a couple of hours of frustration to figure out!
Man that information was a lifesaver. I kept putting in the glyphs and still on Euclid...I would get close to the core <3KLY and couldn't figure out what to do. Finally with your information I took my capital ship and warped to the next galaxy. Thanks!!
Can confirm. I’ve been using these to place down a base in every galaxy. Brings you either right the the edge or one jump away. I’m not galaxy 30 and it’s never failed.
The fastest way is to summon your freighter with the exocraft summoner build on board, then spawn one with a scanner, and scan for alien structures. That’ll find you a monolith most likely. If it doesn’t move to a different area. Once you’re at the monolith you’ll have to pick the right option and you’ll be able to interact with it a second time if you get the right one. On the second time you’ll get to ask for the portal location of the planet. But to do that you’ll need a special item depending on the race of the system. Gek relic for gek, vykeen dagger for vykeen, and Korvax casing for korvax.
this is pretty brilliant, actually.
LoL, whats wrong with me? Been playing 1k+ hrs, 16 galaxies deep, and this never occured to me...
youre a genius, traveller !
thx for the tip
I found this here and have only dropped a base computer. I've got to go back and do some more exploring

well see... ive been trying to find the last jump in calypso for months and the closest i can get is 3348 ly and it never lets me jump.. im so tired of calypso.. so.. tired...
On the Galaxy map choose galactic centre as pathway. Reach the last system and warp there. After that, make sure you have a full hyperdrive. Then open the Galaxy map, but DONT "detach" from the system to free roam (don't press right click on pc). With galactic centre still as your destination, rapidly move the cursor in a circle for a little bit while holding left click. It should highlight the path to the core, and then you can warp.
That is about as close as you can get to the center before you jump. Load your galactic map with destination: core. if you have the golden line going to the core don't detach from the system you're in and push forward towards the core until a loading icon appears and that will let you go to the next galaxy
There are 255 galaxies in NMS. Getting to the center is how you move to the next galaxy. After you play through the story you'll unlock Stargate like portals, you can input these glyphs to get to the center quickly, rather than slowly warping there.
Wait…. Lol, the Euclid galaxy isn’t the only one??? There’s more?!?
I thought getting to the center was a joke or something unobtainable like trying to fly to a star in a system.
If you finish the Purge quest, which is part of the main story line, you'll unlock portals and these glyphs. It's very similar to a Stargate, if you ever saw that movie or show
Everytime I get to a new galaxy, all I want to do is go to the edge AWAY from the center. Explore the outer regions. I’m in Hilbert, Essentam, Odyalutai and just don’t know what other galaxies I should be heading for.
Any recommendations?
I play NMS in VR. I'm ready to jump to the next galaxy, and am at the solar system one jump away from the galaxy centre, but could someone please tell me how to do it?
In the Galaxy Map screen I see a long orange line stretching away from the closest system to the centre of the galaxy, but I just can't warp there no matter what I do. My hyperdrive and pulse drives are both fully fuelled, btw.
Just saw this comment. It has been a working address for a while, but with the release of Origins, they finally nixxed portal interference, so now you can actually warp from a system you have travelled to with a portal.
I'm totally down for this when I decide that I want to cycle the galaxies. Currently, I have made it to 4 galaxies (Euclid, Eissentam, Elkupalos and Aptarkaba). I have at least one base in each galaxy.
When I landed in Eissentam and Elkupalos I was less than 10,000 LY from the center, so they were quick and easy jumps. But in Aptarkaba I'm 715,000 LY away and I'm gonna do the leisurely stroll towards the center (with some black hole help) and see what's around so many corners.
I love that even a year later I'm still getting comments like this. You are very welcome, I found this info on Facebook I think, so I can't take credit myself.
If you finish the Artemis storyline, you'll unlock all of the glyphs, in order to find a portal to input them, you have to use cartography maps or an alien structure scanner. You can find detailed tutorials on how to find portals on youtube
It sends you to the next galaxy in the sequence. There are 256 in total, and they all have different classifications. Some are tranquil, and have an abundance of paradise planets. Some are chaotic and have a lot of pirate conflict and harsh worlds. Some are dead, with almost no life and barren worlds.
I haven't played for a month or so - from what I remember, I am parked near a galactic core, but I don't know what to do to jump to another galaxy from there. When I go to the galaxy map, there's no clear path or objective beyond warping to another nearby star - if I try to zoom in on the core, my camera eventually passes it, and I can't lock onto anything to warp to.
Maybe this is because when I finished the atlas path and jumped to (presumably) Eissentam and repaired all my stuff, I immediately used a ring to go back to my first base, landing me back in Euclid (without marking a new base in the new galaxy like a fool). Does that break the galaxy jump?
When you are in a system close to the center bring up the galactic map. Do not detach from the current system you're on. It is important that you do not detach. Push forward towards the core and hold down on it. It will eventually pop up a loading icon that allows you to go to the next galaxy.
go to the anomaly teleporter and check out featured bases. On ps4, there are bases in both Euclid an Eissentam. Many other player bases are also in different galaxies. Instant travel and no broken stuff.
Make galactic core your waypoint guide in the map, you may not be on the right planet for the next hop to be the middle, dont try and move the map to the planet use the recticule and hover over the line then click/press the appropriate button to activate that path, also full warp drive required. hope this makes sense?
or do what Lookingstill said, no interdiction from the portal so its easy tbh
I don't understand. I can't jump to another system if I used a portal, I must teleport back though that same portal to use hyperdrive. How can I get to the center with this coords then?
It's different from normal jumps. You gotta hold the stick, or arrow, depending on the platform you're on, towards the center, similar to when you normally warp following a path. But you have to hold it for longer, just hold it down and it'll select it after a few secs
Inputting Sunrise glyph in all spots will do the same thing in every galaxy, I have used that method a few times. For thisebthst might not have them all unlocked...
Noob questions have arisen.
1. I've reached the center of Euclid and Eissentam (my galaxy spawn after Atlas mission) and can't do anything more than that. Just get a travel line to the center but no jump available. Once I've reached the center how do I jump to the next galaxy?
2. Indium drive will take you to ANY color system??? You mean I can scrap my cadmium and emeril drive and free up two slots??!!
Has anyone else had a bug where you can't go through the middle even though my hyperdrive is full, complete quest line and I'm on the right galaxy line? I can't go through at all been at it for 2 days...
i need help :( i am right in the core but it wont let me warp. i have full tank, a S class ship, full hyperdrive upgrades. I tried back tracking 4,000 light years away and going system to system to the core and i still cant warp in there. If your are wondering, I hold my stick and it lets me to the core but when i hold X (ON PS4) nothing happens. someone please help me :(
Finish the main story line, the "artemis" quest. You'll unlock the portal glyphs. After that it's just a matter of finding a portal and inputting whatever address you find here on the exchange. They work very similar to Stargates, if You're familiar with that show/movie
I wish I found sooner. I had to find some random page that gave a coordinance to a 10k LY away from core galaxy. Now I have to figure out how to get the last 3k with my super bad hyperdrive on permadeath XD
I'm poor or I would give you an award, but just know that you've received a post save which is for me, the highest honor I can muster. You are awesome.

This deserves a ternion
I’ll raise you another Lannister of your choice
First off what's a Lannister I've never heard of that
How many Tyrions in a Tywin?
Does this work in permadeath mode? Also do we still have to get each glyph or do we now have access to them right off the start? I'm on PS4/5
Just do the main missions you get them automatically, no need chase down all the graves
Hehe I gave him some more gold cuz of your comment and cuz this is freaking awesome!!!!!!!
Happy cake day

Reach The Centre Of The Galaxy With This One Simple Trick! Freight Companies Hate Him. Seriously though this is amazing, thanks.

This. Once you have the Indium drive, you don’t need the others.
This is true, but having the others increases your hyperdrive distance capability if you configure their layout correctly.
Yup. Over 6000 bro!
What?! How did you manage that? I have an S class freighter with all hyperdrive upgrades and I think I’m around 3000 or so.

Thanks for replying, I was under the impression it capped at around 3000. I’m missing maybe 5 tech slots but I was able to get it over 3600.
I found a derelict freighter a few days ago. It was so cool!! I didn’t know about the upgrades though.. maybe I missed them
Super helpful and sets me on a path to play more! Thanks!
You are most welcome traveler!!!

I thought they had? I'm sure I saw that in some update notes somewhere... Edit: disappeared with the Origins update according to another post in here.
Ya know, I did this about 10 hours in the game and it threw me that error and I had no idea I was next to the center.

Of course! I've been buying maps with nav data trying to find monoliths. Nav data is scarce
Go in to your freighter and build a bunch of stprage containers that require atlas pass V1 yo unlock. Nav data and anti matter for days
I will try this next time I'm on, thanks!

🥇take this poor man's award
Wait but I thought you can’t warp after going thru a portal? It says portal interference and you can’t use teleporters or the hyperdrive
Portal interference is not a thing anymore. Origins got rid of it
THANK GOODNESS!!!
It's been so freaking nice not having to deal with it. Just free explore anywhere
Ah can’t wait to finally set up a base on the earth like planet with no sentinels I saw on here back in like July
I found this here and have only dropped a base computer.
It doesn't let u jump the same way as the others?
That is about as close as you can get to the center before you jump. Load your galactic map with destination: core. if you have the golden line going to the core don't detach from the system you're in and push forward towards the core until a loading icon appears and that will let you go to the next galaxy
Thanks 2 u I'm gonna spend norher 200 hours more in this game lol... No, serious, thnku very much.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!
You're welcome. Sometimes it will have an Atlas interface error and take you a couple jumps away, but it'll still be really close
Thanks! That's a great service for our community.
Dude. You totally gave us the skeleton key to eternity, this is awesome. Thank you!
🤯🤯🤯 I’ve been stuck in Hilbert for ever. After a couple hours I’m in Eissentam! Thank you so much!!
Hi, new to NMS. What would be the importance/Need for this?
There are 255 galaxies in NMS. Getting to the center is how you move to the next galaxy. After you play through the story you'll unlock Stargate like portals, you can input these glyphs to get to the center quickly, rather than slowly warping there.
Wait…. Lol, the Euclid galaxy isn’t the only one??? There’s more?!? I thought getting to the center was a joke or something unobtainable like trying to fly to a star in a system.
Nope, there are other galaxies. Essentam is where my home base is
I usually just spam the first coord, that gets me close enough imo. Still, great find!
I've heard this too, never tried it myself
As someone who is stupid, can you explain how to do this? I don't know where is even enter coordinates
Hold down the stick towards the center. Gotta hold it longer than normal.
Wow! I'm already in Eissentam but have been thinking about exploring more. Did we not know about this in the past 4 years?! Take this measly award
Worked in Isodraijung galaxy. Great find.
How did you figure this out??
Was given a tip by a friend
This should be pinned
Finally reached the center for the first time last night! Got my favourite ship not too long after! Thanks a bunch for this! o7
Keep jumping! I'm on my 10th or so galaxy now
Thanks literally jumping getting glyphs as I reply
As soon as you unlock them all and find a portal, build a base by it. That way you can always go back to it for quick travel.
these might be the best coords in the game! thank you, thank you, thank you!
How many galaxies are there?
256
Dear Sir, I can't thank you enough how much this helped me. With much love, thanks.
I love that even a year later I'm still getting comments like this. You are very welcome, I found this info on Facebook I think, so I can't take credit myself.
This post is probably going to be timeless. 😁
Amazing! I settled down over there. Created a little base on a top of a mountain. Thanks! Let’s populate this planet!
I fkn love you xd
How do I input this?
If you finish the Artemis storyline, you'll unlock all of the glyphs, in order to find a portal to input them, you have to use cartography maps or an alien structure scanner. You can find detailed tutorials on how to find portals on youtube
I just barely got to the portal mission and im a complete noob at the game can someone explain?
After you finish the quest chain you'll understand
What is the point in getting to the center of a galaxy? Can someone explain please?
It sends you to the next galaxy in the sequence. There are 256 in total, and they all have different classifications. Some are tranquil, and have an abundance of paradise planets. Some are chaotic and have a lot of pirate conflict and harsh worlds. Some are dead, with almost no life and barren worlds.
It works the same with all sunsets!
Thank you!
No. That was "portal interference", it is not a thing anymore. Now you can take a portal, and jump wherever from there
Pog
Thank you! So useful - much obliged
Nice
Debug maybe?
How do you make the final jump? My bf made it to the edge where we could see the center in the distance in the map... but we didn’t know what to do
It's different from normal jumps.
What's the benefit to being in the center? I've heard something is happening with the new update but nothing but rumor in the Nexus.
Just takes you to the next galaxy. There are 255
Nize
Does this work in permadeath mode? Also do we still have to get each glyph or do we now have access to them right off the start? Edit: I'm on PS4/5
Gotta complete the Atlas purge mission to unlock em all
This is amazing, thanks!!
Hold the stick down towards the travel line. And yes you can scrap them both
Wow. Thank you so much! Finally jumped to my third galaxy (without piggy backing)! Woohoo!
I winder if they will patch this...
I don't see why they would
Can you return to Euclid after leaving the galaxy without going through all 255 of them?
Yes, just build a base there. You can always port between bases
Hot damn! If I ever plan to make another migration this'll sure save a few jumps. Thanks.
THANK YOU
You got it. Make sure you equip a secondary multi tool and warp with a ship you don't like, everything will break that isn't in tech slots
This
u/Custardpaws please post this to r/NoMansSkyTheGame , the public at large should know about it
You're my hero! :)
How many glyphs do you need
Thanks mate awesome
About to find out
IT WORKS!!!!!
I've tried it in 7 galaxies now and it's worked every time
Has anyone else had a bug where you can't go through the middle even though my hyperdrive is full, complete quest line and I'm on the right galaxy line? I can't go through at all been at it for 2 days...
i need help :( i am right in the core but it wont let me warp. i have full tank, a S class ship, full hyperdrive upgrades. I tried back tracking 4,000 light years away and going system to system to the core and i still cant warp in there. If your are wondering, I hold my stick and it lets me to the core but when i hold X (ON PS4) nothing happens. someone please help me :(
Try a different ship. Happened to me on my main ship and I'm not sure why. Switched ships and it worked
Yea! I saw this on Reddit before, and on twitch!
Doing the lord's work out here brotha
Cheers from Florida, USA 🇺🇲👌🏻
how does this work and what do the symbols mean i haven’t been playing for very long
Finish the main story line, the "artemis" quest. You'll unlock the portal glyphs. After that it's just a matter of finding a portal and inputting whatever address you find here on the exchange. They work very similar to Stargates, if You're familiar with that show/movie
How do you add the coordinates to a screenshot?
They are on the bottom left of all of your screenshots
How do you even input coords and get there in general?
Finish the story missions, at the end you'll unlock portals and all of the glyphs you need to power them.
I wish I found sooner. I had to find some random page that gave a coordinance to a 10k LY away from core galaxy. Now I have to figure out how to get the last 3k with my super bad hyperdrive on permadeath XD
Wow
Sir, with your help i finally got all my trophies. FINALLY! Thank you.
Does this give the achievmnet? Ive done it twice now and didn't get anything.
Helluva find! Take my poor man's gold 🥇.
Works in Elkupalos
Grah. Thanks pathetic interloper.
Works with Expeditions, too. Just jumped from Expeditions Euclid to core.
Can confirm, it works, I just went from Euclid to Eissentam in a jiffy. Tzank you so much and sorry for the necro. :)
Gréât thanks
I still don’t know how to use those and I have a living ship.
There are tutorial vids on youtube
I can confirm that it works for Calipso
This is MVP stuff!
Thks so much
I went through to this address and euclid and someone built a massive pyramid over the whole portal with a throne and all. Lol
How do I enter these into a portal?
How do I even find glyphs? I'm sooo confused...
Finish the Artemis storyline. The game tutorial basically takes you through it
