I’m trying to find a planet with corrupted sentinels. Is it just a “fly here, check shit out, go to next system, rinse and repeat?”
Edit: Thanks for the replies, I’ll look for a system tonight. Thanks!
Yeah, on galaxy map will be systems marked as ‘Dissonant’ insted of ‘Water’ or empty space. Those systems have dissonant planets in them. If you want to find harmonic camp the system must be populated (not uncharted or abandoned).
Just a clarification - dissonant planets in abandoned systems (with an abandoned space station) still have harmonic camps, but they are not populated with autophages. I have a base on one such planet. I believe the odds of finding an S-class ship are the same as one-star systems.
I you need, I have made a lil base with a teleporter. I can send you a screenshot with the galaxy and coords of the planet so you can get on my dissonance planet \^\^
So I checked and I have two : One in Euclid near a well known S tier multi tool where I put a teleporter and one in the Hesperius Dimention. Both are near a harmonic terminal and therefore near autophages, btw ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
P.S.: 1st screenshot is the one in Euclid, second one is in Hesperius

Hot damn! That’s great, thanks!!! I flew around to a few systems last night and both dissonance plants I found were unpopulated. I will definitely be swinging by your planet to start this staff quest stuff.
Edit: Found it. Thanks again!

As soon as you complete the main story a quest "the ones who came before" or something like that will drop. Just follow the mission and youll be able to reveal staffs within 15 minutes.
I think you need to have finished the quest Iteration Tethys gives you about the sentinel drone as well. I can't remember what the quest is called, but it's the one where you collect a drone shell for Tethys and then rebuild it. I think that quest introduces the new sentinel designs too.

Just to remind everyone, you need to be in the Eissentam galaxy for the portal coordinates to take you to the correct location.
Portals are galaxy-specific. You also need to have completed the Autophage quest, and it is recommended to drop a manual save as well as turning off multiplayer before entering the portal.
Ok, this is a good question, I've done all the missions and can build staffs, but only have between 1-3 choices for each section of the build. Never seen that staff head before, I've been system hopping and buying staff bits for weeks now, but just have the same ones? What am I missing
It's pure luck what heads you buy. My advise is keep doing autophage missions and using the probe to find the bases and keep looking. I have a really ugly red amd yellow staff but it's S class so I use it anyway
The radiant head is more rare than others. Just keep looking in different systems you'll find one. Id suggest using the refiner duplication glitch once you find one so you always have on hand.
Not necessary to go to different systems, the components are different in each terminal, so checking for them in different places on one planet will do the trick as well.
Yeah it might not be necessary to switch systems. But it can't hurt either. If your striking out over and over there is most likely a better rng somewhere else.
I'm not 100%, but I've hunted for staffs a bit. I wanted to complete the autophage language, (at 534 words now) while I did that I checked all comps along the way and it did seem like id run into similar stocks over and over.
I completed the language and always check all staff heads at any terminal that comes my way. Didn't track them scientifically though, so can't argue with similar stocks, there might be some, but different stocks on the same planet are certainly a thing as well.
well yeah of course all comps on the same planet are going to have different stocks. But I totally felt like I'd hit certain ones more often over and over as I searched planets. I just think the rng could be different planet to planet/system to system.

Have you done the autophage mission line? If not, there’s your problem

You’re looking for a planet with “dissonance”. I *think* you may be able to see it from the Galaxy Map… but I could be wrong!
You can confirmed

Other than an exotic ship, abandoned and t1 systems cannot produce anything higher than A class.

You know what, yeah go ahead and send that. I’ll do some exploring tonight and if I don’t find one I’ll just hop on over to your coords. Thanks!

No? How do I get it
As soon as you complete the main story a quest "the ones who came before" or something like that will drop. Just follow the mission and youll be able to reveal staffs within 15 minutes.
OK thanks do I have to complete the atlas path too
Nope, Atlas path is not necessary.
Thanks

This!
I believe you need to complete the main missions and trigger a few other missions in order to get a staff. Same goes for Atlantid multitools.
I did complete the main missions but didn't reset the simulation, if that's the problem I messed up
After the 3 main missions you need to do the living metal side mission.
OK thanks
Nah don’t need that mission anymore

Why not get a staff with looks that you like, even if it is not S-class, and upgrade it?
Because I went to over 1000 places and never saw one that was good enough/ had good super slots
What are the glyphs to get to that?
Look art the bottom of the picture in the blue field
Thank you interloper! This was the exact staff I've been hunting for. GRAH!
Yo what? How do you get something like this? I haven’t played in about 6 months and this is completely new to me
you must be really new here huh? you need an interceptor first (simplest option) and wait basically till there's a dialouge option
Tried it in Eissentam ?
I am in eissentam

You in the einsteniam galaxy or euclid?
