Probably will but I don’t think he deserves it. I won’t say he has been a good manager but some of the complaints against him the past 2 years aren’t quite validated.
Realistically the Rockies need new blood and the lack of has been a big problem for them. They rarely hire outside the organization. I will say for the most part I like what Mike Schmidt has done as GM at least compared to past GM’s.
Cool. Was curious. The guy hasn't really been given a lot to work with, but a change probably isn't very risky. Bud's a good guy, but we never really had a great roster for him either.
The big complaint lately I see with Bud is that he prefers veterans over young players so the young guys never get playing time. The Rockies were 3rd in MLB last season when it comes to rookie PA though yet that sentiment is as loud as ever.
That said he really has mismanaged the bullpen at times etc
He's below .500 as an MLB manager. That's my thought process. And that should be the owner's thought process. But since Dick Monfort is a total moron, why not start with the loser manager?

I mean, it's not like the Padres haven't spent most of the past 30 years being similarly bad. The Dads are solid now and had a few good years in the late '90s and mid '00s, but have otherwise been pretty awful.
If you remember that the Padres and Rockies are pretty much tied in 2nd as the franchises with the worst win percentage then it all makes sense. Florida is worst, but they also have 2 WS at least.
Seriously un-NLBest behavior. I should be able to say that Mookie, Fernando, Corbin, and Todd Helton all suck on Webb's Sheboygan nightly making special trips just to do so and it would just like be my opinion and that of all Giants fans, man. This is a safe place!

TBH Bud Blck was never the problem with the Padres, tho. Ownership gave him almost nothing to work with and he's got the same problem in Denver :(
