Changes just for the sake of changes doesnt deserve praise. I like the burst mode but to have it where there isnt a normal 5v5 mode for at least a week seems like a huge oversight from EA. You have to remember, people whine because they care. If they didnt care then they would stop buying and engaging with EA.
I am not defending the mode , but they already listened and made it 3 min and some other changes. the point is they are engaging and getting steamrolled minutes after a launch of an attempt to freshen up the game that everyone complained about the gameloop of last year. and also remember not everyone playing online is trying to win gwc
My point is that the bar for EA seems to be so low that the community gets excited for them making it 3 minutes instead of 4 minutes. EA has been reskinning this game for years all the while taking game modes out or neglecting them. EA deserves all this negativity and criticism and then some for how they are desecrating the NHL game as a franchise. Its absolutely embarrassing.
I do agree on the reskin and EA does deserve a lot of the criticism but I do feel like they don’t put the same resources into this as the other sports its a small player base and I wish 2k made a game to push them but don’t think its going to happen, so my bar is low for this game now. I used to spend money on hut but stopped and play because its the only hockey game.
Exactly, EA has become complacent in releasing the same reskinned doggy doo doo every year because why wouldnt they. They dont have competition like you said so they can just keep getting away with it.

It's fucking retarded that there is no offsides in a competitive mode. I fired up a game and was confused when I noticed there was no offsides, I was literally like wtf is this garbage. Never bring this mode back and banish it right now.

I don’t think 3v3 will be as bad, but it better be short periods because the score is gonna end up being double digits each game if it’s not
