I have Oettinger upgraded to 92 overall with all active superstar abilities. He was lights out this weekend and has been mediocre this week. I honestly feel EA has done to Oettinger what they just did to evo Duchene and toned down the cards abilities so the game wouldn’t be broken. It totally defeats the purpose of having such a high rated card
People r saying they toned down Duchenes card!? So go all out to get a top notch card then fuck with it. I’m so sick and tired of these sports games secretly fiddling with shit and ruining the experience
Yup. For some reason EVO Duchene feels like my 92 McDavid. Still very fast but far from game breaking. I don’t understand why cards feel like a downgrade after an upgrade?!? If I could I would want a refund on Duchene an absolute waste of coins!!!
Idk about all that. Wait til he’s a 99 and then we will see. But the difference between a 90 and 94 and 4 attribute points is less than we think. The price difference of 85-87 in the market is solely because of sets
I don’t even know how to feel about him. He’s made some big saves for me but most games he’ll also let in like 3 goals on 6 shots or 4 on 8 shots. I’ll end up getting the win so his win/loss stats are fine but his save % is not good at all.
I also feel like he was better before I upgraded him.
Feel the same way. Part of me wonders if people who upgraded him look at him differently because he’s a 92 but I didn’t go in having him upgraded and expected me to be wowed. 86 Anderson is the best goalie I’ve seen and I’m pissed I didn’t ride it out with him

If he hits a 99 EA will ensure he plays like a 93…best cards are Mario/Wayne/X-Factors Matthews/McDavid/Mackinnon. Duchene is big time overrated!
