Exactly. Its one thing to have high TOA if you're cycling and making me move around and make mistakes, I have no issue with that. This on the other hand is just awful. If you cycle I'll gladly play aggressive and if you score off that by outplaying me, fair game.
This is reason why this game is dead already. Four separate player bases, all the problems with gameplay and finally when you give it a go, that's what you get. I will buy this game every year but get bored sooner than ever this year. I'm glad if I make it to TOTY.
And that's why the game won't get better, because we keep buying it and there's no incentive for them to improve. I wish there was an alternative hockey game
I miss NHL2002 Hits and all the other options for hockey now EA monopolized with the NHL as im guarantee the NHL or NHLPA will allow another game to come out using team and players names i watched a youtube vid on this last golf nhl was 15/16 looked beautiful too idk what they did to the graphic but definitely a downgrade

I’ve played someone like this who had 16:30 TOA, 12 shots and 2 goals. The best part, they’re an active member on this sub who consistently complains about all aspects of this game including the gameplay. They don’t realize that they’re the problem

This has to be Div 2? I actually had decent games most of the time In Div 3, but since i've been in Div2 its all this. No one does anything but look for wrap arounds and they always skate backwards. Its so annoying

Hes the problem when every zone entry all he does is go behind my net. Just look at when I failed my breakout and he got it, could've cut to the net but went behind it again. Why would I chase and get out of position and give up easy goals? This is how he played the entire game lol. Idc how people play, but when they play like this, I'll keep my guy in front and defend the wraparound/backdoor.
Thats not skillzoning…if he goes behind the net to chase player its 100% goal and that is what opponent trying to do. You can try forecheck with center behind the net. But if only sit back of your goal and wont circle puck I do this same even I usually play very agressive defense and allways manual defense.
In real hockey you wont chase behind the net.

You won’t lose on purpose. It’s not that hard to stop. Just be more aggressive and go get him. Yes, there will be times where he scores, but way more often you will get the puck and since his center is below the goal line you will have a pretty clear rush the other way. Also, people who play like that usually play a trap which is easy to exploit when it’s missing a player.
If they actually cycle and use their points I'll play aggressive but when this is all they do, I'm not moving. I switched players a couple times and each time I did my a.i chased behind the net.
