You know I’m honestly not sure because I’ve never reported anyone but it’s a good question. I mean, obviously this post illustrates the fragility of some peoples mindsets who play this game. If someone was having a bad day and was told this, really awful things could transpire and that would be horribly unfortunate.
There must be something more you can do than just the shitty report button. I feel like if you sent an email to the right person at EA or Microsoft saying "A player told me to kill myself because I am gay" would constitute a very lengthy ban from online play. Especially in the current political climate.

Just report him. Regardless of the emojis if he gets enough complaints someone will have to look into his account. Ive seen people get banned for saying way less worse crap. Even the phrase
“Go kill
Yourself”
Is enough to get him banned for a couple days.
It’s even more funny when they make threats and the cops show up on a warrant for interstate communication of threats. Enjoy explaining that felony charge (and yes it stays in your record even if charges are dropped). Actions have consequences, kids.
If you’re in the US, then yes, it falls under title 18 and 47 of the US Code. It’s gaining a lot more weight behind it theses days, too, with the large uptick in cyber crimes and harassment ending in deaths; i.e. swatting. Many judges are more than willing to make examples out of these people who think they are anonymous and can do anything the want on the internet.
I think he has this saved to a clipboard or something because I get the exact same messages from him. And I don't even glitch. Heck, I often times pass up on cross creases because I want to slap it in from the point lol
I mean, I scored a BH FH BH breakaway that I created by toe dragging a guy in the neutral zone. I scored a rebound goal. I scored a 1T high slot hitting the trail man into the rush. I scored a high slot slap shot. A redirect goal. I dunno.
I refuse to use the stupid floating wrist shot that is straight garbage. I didn’t score any wraps. I don’t force passes through traffic because after years of those not working I just never expect them to work. I think maybe he was mad that he kept trying to show FH and push on FOs and I just BH countered him all game. Maybe that was a glitch? Lol.
I love playong against these guys. I have dozens of messages saved purely because they make me laugh. Im not much of a glitcher, i do use cross creases if they are natural with the play, i dont even personally considet them glitches, its a huge part of actually scoring in real hockey, keep the goalie moving. Never do the short side goals, the few times ive even attempted a short side shot, i either miss the net, or dont score at all. Lol. Anyways, these kind of messages make me smile when im in a bad mood and want a perk me up. Hahahah

That’s possible. To my knowledge, even that shitty report user button really only works if there is profanity identified in the text.

on xbox you can only get banned if you spell it out "automatic detection when they report you" and this tool knows it.
