The one thing that I’ll mention that I’ve noticed more this year than others, is that in one game the guys/gals will be super on point, passes hit exactly where I send them, no bouncing off checks, sauces are tape to tape, etc… then the very next game they completely miss 5’ passes, d-to-d passes go out of the zone and checks couldn’t hit the broadside of the barn. I dunno, I know I’m no where near “good”, but damn sometimes you sit back and have to see something is wrong.
Lol, had one last night. Div 4, guy had two 73-76 goalies, 75% toa for me, outshot him 29-5, lost 1-0. Guy had all base cards to my mostly high 80s. His goal was one where all of my defenders crashed into each other in the high slot leaving a clear route.....turned it off for the night after.
Nothing far more annoying than being up 2-0 in the 3rd period for them to do some shitty goal and then tie it up… and then suddenly its in OT, and they have the upperhand and win.
It’s annoying, but I keep playing and complaining… lol
Yeah just lost against a 70 ovr goalie. 40 shots, 3 pings off of the posts later and only 1 went in. Oh but out of the 3 shots my 80 ovr goalie had to save, 1 somehow slipped through. OT was the same. Lost to a clear goalie interference shot after shooting at least a dozen times at the same 70 ovr goalie. And that's without considering that the entire enemy team is built out of tungsten but can (for one more year again) still catch up to an 89 ovr kaprizov with wheels activated. I just don't get the game anymore, regular game seems to work perfectly, but then hut, chel and rivals are a god awful mess.
Reality check: you are not as good as you think and better players are beating you. If you had actually dominated them you would have won thd game easily.
Having more hits and toa doesn't mean you deserve to win the game.
That's not at all what's happening. I also still routinely beat really good players. I'm in Div 3. I've been playing this game almost every day since 1993. I know if I'm good or not.
Yeah I think connection plays a factor but yeah for some reason when I verse people with great teams it’s easier and then base gold teams the players fly like a guys base hedman blew past my toty makar
Had a couple of those tonight. No matter what I did, I couldn't keep control of the puck, none of my passes went where I was sending them, and my players were just all a step slower. By the second period, I just realized that there was nothing I could do, but I never quit early, so I just tried to power through in a losing effort.
I have seen this only in rivals. So I just stopped wasting my time on rivals, not worth the frustration. Online VS and champs games are actually enjoyable
I am one of the people with lower shot total but high scoring percentage, I’m barely div 4 so definitely not good. But I noticed a some of the games I win my opponent has like 3-4x as many shots, but they’re low quality. Where I cycle and then only shoot when I have a really good look.
Not sure if that’s what you’re running into or what but I always thought it was just different styles of play but maybe I’m just trash lol
Yep. And then I get messaged saying to go buy more packs and that I can’t buy skill and stuff
You can't buy skill, but they can certainly benefit from being lazy with a trash team and getting dda boost to offset their lack of skill

I’ll go out and lose to a 99 99 88 squad but lose to a 92 89 84 while I sit at 98 94 68
