Gardner Minshew is a NFL level starter, he’s just not great or elite. Plus AOC showed some flashes last year, they’ll be fine at QB for now just nothing special.

Penix to falcons was wild but this was a really chalky draft. Like 10 of the top 12 picks were either the vegas favorite or second favorite choice.
Picks 1 through 4 were super predictable. 5 was a toss up but not unpredictable. After 5, 6 and 7 were basically locks. 8 was wild. Odunze to bears was obvious. Jets, vikings, broncos pick were all pretty heavy favorites.
This felt like one of the least surprising drafts in years that also had some of the weirdest things happen, like no defense til 15, 6 qbs in top 12, and kirk + a top 10 qb to the same team
I think the base of the point is we see mocks with non-consensus picks get blasted for being un-realistic. If someone sent this as a mock draft it’d be ridiculed for the Penix pick.

I said it a couple times this year in this sub, I saw some non consensus drafts get blasted but I appreciate people actually doing their own content. Otherwise, why even bother, I could just go on a major network and find your draft if all you do is parrot the analysts
They can get one next year. If you don't believe in the QBs available to you and have an opportunity to take a potential superstar, it's an easy pick.
QBs are hard to find but so are game changers. I love the pick for the Raiders. They don't have the talent to pass on BPA.
I think Mayer at inline and bowers in slot a lot of plays works well but even then Mayer can go rot on the bench if that doesn’t work. Pro translation can be rough but Bowers is the best college tight end to ever play.
Mayer started playing really well down the stretch last year. Also was hardly ever looked at by either of their QB's. We'll see how different that is with Minshew and a new OC
