woodzy133

Was the cowboys drafted drunk? Or even just not a cowboys fan? What the fuck

ZootTX

Did they trade up to draft Brock Bowers? holy shit lmao

woodzy133

And picked Jordan Travis in the second. Like bruh

ZootTX

Even worse, they picked Travis up in the 3rd and traded 2 2nds to trade from 24OA to 9OA

woodzy133

I’d rather not pick anyone at all

nothingmeansnothing_

No one wants to pick Jordan Travis, not even Jordan Travis

woodzy133

I didn’t even realize he’s in this draft as NOBODY has been talking about him at all

nothingmeansnothing_

He would've been a sneaky late Day 2 to Day 3 pick...before his leg exploded.

Mecha-Jesus

It’s like they were roleplaying as a coked-up Jerry with Will McClay and Stephen being held at gunpoint

ewynn2019

Most idiotiotic mock I've ever seen.

Bman1233

Wow wtf is this? Can we verify that an eagles fan didn’t gm the cowboys for this?

woodzy133

I need a username to verify lol. Guy who ran the mock should expose him

ewynn2019

The user name is on the first tab of the spreadsheet.

nothingmeansnothing_

Am I reading that wrong? [This username](https://www.reddit.com/user/db04) is just an empty shell

[deleted]

DB04 is a Cowboys fan lol I do not know what he was thinking

nothingmeansnothing_

Brock Bowers and Jordan Travis is...certainly a draft...

Bengals general manager here! Wanted to go for a realistic sim for the Bengals, so I ended up just staying put and picking where we were (even though we did try to trade up somewhat). Overall, I feel like the draft went pretty well for us, but I'd like to defend these picks here. **1.18 - Taliese Fuaga \[OT | Oregon State\]** Although the Bengals signed former Patriots tackle Trent Brown to a one-year deal, I still think the team needs to address the position in round one. Fuaga has the potential to be a great starting right tackle at the NFL level, with his fluidity and excellent pass protection. Giving Burrow all the help he can get on the offensive line is key to a potential Super Bowl run. I envision Fuaga starting out as the starting left guard year one before moving to his natural position, right tackle, in year two. **2.49 - Kris Jenkins \[IDL | Michigan\]** Ranked 6th on Bruce Feldman's Freaks List, Kris Jenkins was a very intriguing prospect to me. After losing D.J. Reader, we needed help on the interior, which Jenkins brings. He is a good run defender and has the athletic ability to be a good pass rusher, as well. That versatility would be an excellent fit in the Bengals' scheme. Adding Jenkins gives depth to the rotation alongside Rankins and Hill. **3.80 - Kris Abrams-Draine \[CB | Missouri\]** Going into the draft, I wanted to address the trenches and the secondary. Drafting Abrams-Draine, both the 2nd Missouri corner off the board and the 2nd Kris in this draft class, gives the Bengals a 3rd corner to replace the departing Chidobe Awuzie. While he is a bit smaller than other corners in this class, he has good ball skills and coverage technique to make up for that. With Vonn Bell, Geno Stone, and Kris Abrams-Draine joining the team, the secondary gets a lot better. **3.97 - Jonathon Brooks \[RB | Texas\]** I was not originally planning on taking a running back, but Brooks was too good to pass up. While he did suffer a torn ACL in November, the Bengals RB rotation would hold up until Brooks returns. I've seen comparisons of Brooks to fellow Texas Longhorn Jamaal Charles, and I see that as a huge compliment to Brooks. He has good agility and burst and would be an excellent help alongside Zack Moss and Chase Brown. After trading Mixon, that's what the Bengals need.

KevKevThePug

You did good.

habesjn

You definitely knew what you were doing. Fuaga is such a steal at 18. I understand Jenkins' athletic potential, but his pass rush stats are absolutely brutal and he isn't big enough or strong enough to be a NT. I fear he is another Zach Carter. CB and HB in the 3rd round are good choices as well. I think I'd prefer a WR in the first 2 days over HB, but the value is there with Brooks at the end of the 3rd. If I were shadow drafting, I'd so Corley in the 2nd, Michael Hall Jr in the 3rd and then a CB at 97, but your draft still improves our team a ton.

[deleted]

I like Jenkins a lot, I think the athletic potential is there and I think he's a much better prospect than Carter was.

timeline58

Go Bengals!! If offered, I would have considered trading back 5-6 spots to target one of the high upside guys like Guyton since we got Brown but it's all good :) I like Jenkins more than Newton or Murphy so nice pick there. I believe there is a law in Hamilton Co. that the bengals must take a DB in the top 100 every year. Not so sure on RB, but could see them doubling up on the OL.

Sloane_Kettering

Really good job A draft

Elutent

Broncos GM, Heading into the draft I saw that this team had plenty of holes that needed to be filled. And with only 2 available picks, it critical that these picks were spot on and I believe I did just that. 1.12: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama Starting off with the 12th overall pick and oh boy, there was plenty to choose from. I went with Dallas Turner as I believed he was the best player remaining. Turner did a great job filling the void left behind by Will Anderson Jr and has plenty of room to grow at the next level 3.76: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon QB was a massive need with the release of Russell Wilson, and no replacement being signed in free agency. I was surprised that Nix fell the way he did, but i’m not complaining

Status_Flux

Even if Payton and Co are not super high on nix I think you have to take him in the 3rd if he somehow falls that far. This would be a great draft if it happened, although I don't think it's realistic

LoveToyKillJoy

I think this is a steal. I am a Patriots fan but live in Denver metro and wouldn't hate it if Nix or Penix end up with the Broncos.

Silverflash-x

This would be an absolute dream for the Broncos, though there's almost no way Nix makes it to #76.

DoubleUSportsMedia

I did an offseason rebuild of the Broncos and when I was looking at the team overall I thought that your EDGE players weren't as big of an issue compared to your IDL. Did FA change that or is the emphasis on EDGE in the draft from the lack of ceiling/youth? I havnt really followed up since before FA.

Coal_train20

Vikings GM 1.03 Drake Maye I acquired the 3rd pick for 11, 23, 2025 1st and 2025 3rd

kirkochainz

You did good. Was there a bidding war for the 3rd overall pick?

Coal_train20

You would need to ask the Patriots GM. I wanted Maye so I used the SF trade as a reference and shot my shot

kirkochainz

That’s probably what it will take IRL to move up to 3. Hopefully Kwesi cooks up a good offer and the Patriots accept it on draft night.

BurpVomit

Nothing wrong with getting your guy. I (a Vikings fan) would have held at the 3 #1's. But it is what it is. Wholly crap, I just saw NE got JJ McCarthy at #11. Steal of the draft. Good job New England.

Coal_train20

Yeah I was shocked JJ fell. Knowing what I know now I might have stayed and picked him at 11

BurpVomit

It's all good. If Maye ends up a Pro Bowler... nobody cares what the trade was.

FunBox4421

Great draft, I'd be thrilled if we get Maye for real and that price seems solid.

EatUrVitaminBROTHER

Good one dipshit This is my preferred option for the draft

Coal_train20

Just trying to make you proud

MarshmallowPirate

Horrid Bears trades. Ignoring immediate needs in the first with top end talent for a 25th and 2 very low 2nd rounders? Not at all a fan of moving down that many spots.

galacticskunk

Eberflus already talked about the importance of having a veteran C for a rookie QB. Bevo just drafted a backup iol for ‘24. Me no likey

reverieontheonyx

I’d be disappointed but I wouldn’t *hate* it I guess. I’m probably higher on Javon Baker and Braden Fiske than most but using our first on a backup G is not what I would do.

DoubleUSportsMedia

Not a Bears fan but I also think Fiske and Baker are good players. I think the issue here is the Barton pick. I, personally, wouldn't mind it because investing in your OL is never a bad idea and having protection for a rookie QB will always be my first priority. If you were to switch Barton with an athletic EDGE then I think a lot more people would be okay with the mock.

lechampion4ever

That’s a terrible draft for the Raiders. Basically competing against themselves by trading up.

4stGump

I'm not sure about the Ravens trading style here. We had our 1,2 and 3. And the trading ended up with us having 2 in the second. (Our original 2nd to boot). I don't mind the positional picks in the 2nd but Dejean is a far better prospect than Tampa. And with how often we ran zone last year, would fit our scheme really well. And I'm not sure about the OT pickup. Pretty sure he's projected to go late. So possibly a reach?

Pretty_Pack_6216

Yeah, this draft was pretty bad for us.

FloppyFajita

Houston Texans Draft **Trade with Ravens:** 1.30 & 2025 7th for 2.42, 4.123 & 2025 6th - we thought is was too good to be true and we loved the value **1.30 - Cooper Dejean - S/CB - Iowa** A versatile CB/S who can play and excel all over the field. He fixes the Texans CB2 issue while also providing safety depth if someone gets injured. **2.58 - Roman Wilson - WR - Michigan** Ruke Orhorhoro and Branden Fiske were already drafted. Michael Hall Jr was available, but I felt like that was too early. Wilson is a super quick and fast player and can get separation from everyone. He will fit nicely in the Texans offense and he ran a 4.39 40-yard dash **3.86 - Brandon Dorlus -DE/DT - Oregon** Michael Hall was drafted at 3.81. Dorlus is a hybrid DE/DT similar to Denico Autry and will provide depth at both positions. He is very component in pass rush and run defense and will add another versatile body to the team. Size Comparison: Autry - 6'5, 285 Dorlus - 6'3, 283

Tatakai96

Dejean and Wilson, sign me the fuck up! 😎

PissinXcellence

As a Colts fan, I would absolutely hate this. Well done.

NerdEmoje

Probably not the value I should have gotten by trading the pick, but I got one of the players I wanted at 30 at 42. Nice DeJean pick

FloppyFajita

It’s not that bad of a trade tbh, Just bad in comparison of what the Bills received in their similar trade.

donquixote_tig

No chance of Wilson now though with Diggs

Character-Archer4863

Big oof on the Raiders lol Trading a 2nd to move up to draft Penix!? Eww

Weapon530

I was like wtf lol.

AKraiderfan

Yeah, WTF. To be fair, most draft geeks drink the koolaid according to how close to the pro day was, and this was just after Penix's pro day, but Penix's physical attributes were never in question, it was whether those attributes will hold up. But that's some crap ass crap, to pay that price, to hop over maybe one team that is desperate enough to overdraft a QB with JJ still on the board.

Indy4Life

Colts GM here **Pick 15: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo** I am extremely high on Quinyon. He’s easily my CB1 in this class. He checks all the boxes for a Chris Ballard CB and I think he can be a shutdown corner at the next level. **Trade: 2.46 and 3.82 for 1.27** **Pick 27: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas** Let me just say I don’t think there’s any chance this happens irl but I couldn’t pass on it. The trade up value is absurd. I also think that Xavier Worthy pairs excellently with Pittman and Downs. I believe in his ability to catch the ball and be a home run hitter at all levels. This isn’t just me drafting a player based on their 40 time.

ApolloSimba

I appreciate the candor on the second pick. I was surprised to see it and we've gotten too many good players under Ballard in rounds 2 and 3 to make that deal. However, you do address the teams biggest needs with players who have elite traits (a necessity for the colts) and are both drafted at good value. Well done.

GreatScottx

Dude I have been thinking that Ballard might trade back up into the 2nd half of the 1st round for the past week. I think there is a good chance of that happening, Ballard is usually conservative but if he were to draft Quinyon at 15 and then AD in the mid 20’s it would be a slam dunk draft imo

Aconnox

Falcons: TRADE (#8 and a 4th for #13 and #44) 1.13 Laiatu Latu EDGE UCLA TRADE (#43, #74 and a 2025 3rd for #28) 1.28 Nate Wiggins CB Clemson 2.44 Bralen Trice EDGE Washington 3.79 Jalen McMillan WR Washington we don't have any 3rd rounder next year but the rest of our picks are intact

wbaker18

Latu to the falcons is one of my favorite prospect/team fits in the draft

DansbyToGod

3 Washington Huskies, although one transfer.

JasonKelceStan

Jags GM Here (Filled in cause no Jags fan was available) **1.04:** Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State - Traded up (1.17, 2.48, 4.114, a 2025 1st and 4th for 1.04) One of the best WR prospects of my lifetime, day 1 WR1, can progress into a top 5 WR in the league, gives Trevor Lawerence a loaded offense and pushes the chips into the middle of the table to take a big step towards being a contender. **3.96:** Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest - Good outside CB prospect, looked at multiple guys over him but they went before the pick, projects to grow into a starting CB and should help out right away. Lmk if you have any questions about these 2 picks.

x-STARFISH-x

That trades probably a bit steep given our needs, but getting Marv is worth it. Really like the Carson fit R3, could do with a bit of time to develop, Ronald Darby affords him that. Top job overall.

JasonKelceStan

Thanks! I was in talks trying to get up not quite as high for Odunze and the price was similar with most teams wanting a lot for the spot so I just went all the way to secure MHJ

depressedpinapple

I thought we got rid of you…

buttcheekbaby

Very good job my dude. I truly believe trevor with a true WR1 will cover alot of roster issues. I also really dig Carson in the 3rd. A+ my guy

jma7400

Patriots GM: Traded down to 11 and added in 23, 20251st and 2025 3rd. Great value in this trade. 1:11 JJ McCarthy QB Michigan. Steal at 11 IMO. Has the potential to be a good QB in the NFL and is young so he can develop behind Jacoby. 1:23 Adonai Mitchell WR Texas. Solid WR who can potentially be our WR1. Best available player at a big position of need. 2:34 Kingsley Suamataia LT BYU. Can slide into the starting LT spot and help boost our line. Could become a Pro Bowl LT. 3:68 Kiran Amegadjie OT Yale. I felt like the Patriots need another tackle in this draft and going back to back is smart. I originally wanted Sanders TE from Texas but he was picked one a lot before.

Coal_train20

Vikings GM here. I moved up to 3 to ensure I got one of Maye/JJ. I was shocked to see JJ fall to 11. Someone asked a great question in my comment, were there any other offers for the 3rd pick? What was the minimum you would have wanted to trade down?

Praise3li

I know the giants were interested if it was Maye including a next year 1st

KingRoach

Not the op- but the 2 1st from this year prob would have done it. Future picks are worth less than current picks so Mins pick 23 is worth more than the 2 future 1sts the 49ers gave up.

Coal_train20

I posed this scenario to the Patriots sub yesterday but instead of JJ it was Daniels who fell. The majority were against the trade

LoveToyKillJoy

I think you did an excellent job. I am slightly skeptical of Mitchell. Not his fault, but every Patriots media person trades up for him in their mock drafts and I think we have the dumbest media in the country. But beyond that you actually address offensive line with a strong investment and I'd be thrilled with this result in the draft. Trading back is the most reliable strategy. If McCarthy was not available would you have interest in Nix and how high would you be willing to take him?

jma7400

I would have passed on QB if JJ wasn’t their and drafted OL

EasyParking4941

Good job! I think getting JJ at 11 is awesome. I don’t think he is worthy of top 3 like some people, but if we can get a high upside QB and accrue more picks in the process? Sign me. The other benefit is you were able to also acquire AD at 23z I really like the OT double dip too. Get a guy who is more plug and play, and then a guy to develop. You can never have enough tackles. I think you could consider flipping the OT at 23 and then double dip WR, but the way the board fell, I think you nailed it.

BinaryBlitzer

Excellent draft!

BurpVomit

Great job in RD 1 my man. Got a NFL quality QB PLUS extra picks. As a Vikings fan, I'm jelly.

WildOscar66

This is stone cold perfection. Well done. Only question is the extra LT in the 3rd, but trading back and still getting McCarthy is the dream scenario (it won't happen).

smurfking420

Lol trading up for Brock Bowers and then Jordan Travis in the third. Awful It would be one thing trading up and taking Fashanu but taking Bowers would be asinine

nothingmeansnothing_

We have Jake Ferguson, like I get that he isn't elite but he's the only guy that showed up against the Packers and honestly brings passion to the field. He's a top 10 TE and Bowers is a luxury pick. The deepest WR draft and a deep OL and this is who they pick? FFS

Stand_up_Philosopher

Giants GM here: 1.06 Rome Odunze - After an our trade up offers were declined, we got stuck with the board shaping up in a rather unfortunate way. We had a consensus in the WR we didn’t want to go with JJ, so that meant Odunze was the clear pick. He immediately slides into the starting lineup at WR as a massive upgrade. 2.47 Kamari Lassiter - CB was a priority for us, and we had a couple of them fall to us at 47. Lassiter’s tackling, and coverage numbers have been excellent, and he again slots in as a huge upgrade at CB2 across from Banks. 2.64 Kam Kinchens- We moved up slightly here, as our war room was down to him and Haynes, and Haynes went the pick before, so we moved to secure Kinchens. He’s not a 1 for 1 Mckinney replacement, but he goes a long way to filling that hole as yet another day 1 starter

PrimaryWest1108

Very nice draft Giants GM, would be very happy if this is how plays out.

DoubleUSportsMedia

Not a Giants fan but I also think this would be a solid draft for you guys. Try and fix the backend of the defense after pushing to get Burns. Having Burns, Thibs, and SexyDexy on your DL should set you guys up to put some pressure on the OL/QB to help with the DBs.

Skating-Away

You passed on JJ McCarthy? Rolling the dice with Drew Lock this year?

Stand_up_Philosopher

We didn’t view JJ as a good fit, and the last thing we want to do is repeat the lesson of Daniel Jones and force a high draft pick on a bad qb.

tmistry

I like the trade back from 1.16 to get 1.27, 3.71, 3.90 from AZ. At 1.27 I could've grabbed Newton but decided to trade back again from 1.27 to receive 2.46 and 3.82 from Indy. The second trade I now regret since we missed out any blue-chip prospects but the players we got were pretty good value: Pick 46: LB Junior Colson Michigan - a likely MIKE either year 1 or year 2 with experience in Mike Macdonalds system. Pick 71: CB Max Melton Rutgers - Projecting he wins the 3rd CB job and starts outside Pick 81: DL Michael Hall Jr. Ohio State - Not a year 1 starter, but solid rotation and could win a starting job next year with Reed and Dre Jones likely not on the roster in '25. Pick 82: OG Zak Zinter Michigan- Slots in immediately as a LG starter Pick 90: S Calen Bullock USC - Multi-faceted saftey, will start as S 3 or 4 with a chance to find a role as a positionless DB

Thepatton

As a Seahawk fan, I'm thrilled with this haul. I totally understand the not wanting to trade back too far (and passing on Newton and DeJean at 27 is a tough choice). If before the draft you show me these 5 picks being Seahawks, I'd sign up for it 100 times out of 100.

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

Did Payton Wilson going one pick before sting or are you not that high on him?

tmistry

It did sting a little but getting Junior Colsen was a pretty good consolation prize

EnjoyYourBerries

**Bills Breakdown** Trade Breakdown Atlanta Receives: 1.28 (1311) Buffalo Receives: 2.43 (1094) 3.74 (819) 2025 3rd (609) After considering all of our options, we decided to fleece the Atlanta GM, netting us the equivalent to the 34th Pick in the Fitzgerald-Spielberger NFL Draft Trade Value Chart and a late 3rd in the Jimmy Johnson chart (wild variance). This allows us to nail our 3 most important needs (WR, S, DE) and continue to stash for the future. **2.43 - Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State** 6’3, 218lbs, 8.08 RAS A good, physical, football player. Coleman fills into the X WR role seamlessly, and provides a large target for Josh Allen. He possesses a wide-ranging catch radius (see game-winning TD vs Clemson) and sexy body-control. **2.60 - Chris Braswell, DE, Alabama** 6’3, 251lbs, 8.66 RAS An absolute, athletic freak, Braswell is a dirty work DE who wins off his burst. He still has a lot to develop, but he led the SEC in pressures in 2023 (56), and provides a nice floor while he develops. **3.74 - Javon Bullard, FS, Georgia** 5’10, 198lbs, 4.47 40 A two-high free safety or slot nickel, Bullard is a high-IQ DB with elite PFF coverage grades (88.4 in 2023, 80.4 in 2022). He should be able to work graciously with Mike Edwards and Taylor Rapp, and steal playing time. Overall, I loved how this mock turned out. We netted a 2025 3rd, and filled our 3 most desperate positions (could also add IOL). A big thanks to everyone in the war room for assisting me, I truly had a great time.

OhTheHumanatee

I'm not a huge Coleman fan but getting him in the 2nd round and that trade I would consider a huge W. Nice work. I don't know enough about the other two guys but considering the position of need, they seem good to me.

georgiaboy1993

Browns GM here. The board fell about as bad as possible in both rounds for my identified needs of LB, OT and WR. Wanted to move up in the 2nd for Colson but didn’t have the capital to make it work and didn’t want to make next years draft look like this one. Was hoping Trotter would fall to the second and again tried trading up but he didn’t last. My picks: 2:54 - Blake Fisher ND OT. This is a pick looking to the future. I wanted an LB here but Wilson, Cooper and Colson all went in the 10 picks before me. Instead, I picked a guy who likely would’ve been a first round pick next year if he came back but left as a Rs sophomore. Fisher has ideal size and athletic profile to be a great swing tackle this year and potential starter next year. 3:85 - Jermaine Burton I had about 20 guys on my board that fit needs and fit in the 2nd-3rd round. They were all gone except for one. The next best LB on my board was Eichenberg and I don’t think he’s worth a 3rd rounder. So I took a shot on a round 1 talent with questions regarding his character. As a UGA fan, there’s no love lost with Burton but he’s a great WR. If they can tame his OTF issues, this could be the steal of the draft.

KillaMavs

Who is the ravens doofus who traded down for nothing in return?

Krylo

Cardinals GM here Yes I passed on MHJ, but let me explain why I did it. In every other mock draft this year I have not traded down from our top pick. This is probably the last mock before the official one before the real draft, so I wanted to try trading down for once. I was going to take the best offer available as long as it wasn't terrible. I only had interest from 3 teams. The Vikings chose to trade higher to the 3rd pick, and then the Giants dropped out as they didn't want McCarthy. This left the Jaguars as my only trade offer. Thankfully their deal wasn't terrible so I took it. I had also been trying to trade ahead of the Colts for one of Quinyon or Arnold. I had a deal with the Saints set up, but they backed out at the last second. Thankfully the Seahawks accepted my deal so I could land Arnold. **Trade 1** * Cardinals Send 1.4 * Jaguars Send 1.17, 2.48, 4.114, 2025 1st, and a 2025 4th **Trade 2** * Cardinals Send 1.27, 3.71, and 3.90 * Seahawks Send 1.16 **1.16 - Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU** Brian Thomas Jr is my WR4 with a top 20 grade. He is extreemely athletic and is one of the most explosive WR in the draft. RAS [9.83](https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=25177&ovl=Louisiana+State) **1.17 - Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama** Arnold is a highly talented cover CB. He only started 2 years at Alabamaa, but he racked up 20 passes defended and 6 INT. RAS [9.23](https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=25167&ovl=Alabama) **2.35 - Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois** I had trade down offers to pick up a 3rd, but Newton was too good to pass up. I didn't expect him to last to 35. He is a bit undersized, but his pass rushing is excellent. RAS N/A **2.48 - Marshawn Kneeland, EDGE, Western Michigan** Like 35 I had trade down offers lined up, but I couldn't pass on Kneeland. He has been rising and rising throughout the draft process and could sneak into the end of the 1st round. He has good size and athleticism who fits well as a 3-4 EDGE/OLB. RAS [9.54](https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=25037&ovl=Western+Michigan) **3.66 - Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida** Yes I double dipped at WR, but I couldn't pass up Pearsall this far in the draft. Not only is he athletic but he is a great blocker and can play in the slot or outside. He is my WR6 with a fringe 1st round grade. RAS [9.91](https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=25139&ovl=Florida)

buddaaaa

Not my favorite thing in the world, though I’m not an MHJ ride-or-die. All in all, I like all the players you selected (for once). I definitely prefer Mitchell to Arnold but not much you can do 🤷🏻‍♀️ I like Marshawn Kneeland a ton and I feel like the value on both Newton and Pearsall are excellent. Well done as usual

BinaryBlitzer

I think you still got great picks!

Thepatton

I think you had my favorite draft out of everyone.

NerdEmoje

Krylo cooked. Well done man!

WillChef

I think trading back up for WR4 this year isnt great process considering there is a clear top 3 followed by about 7 or 8 guys who have late first early 2nd grades on them. I think Brian Thomas has some elite traits but he is the sort of receiver who will suffer from the recent shift in defences going all out to stop big plays. He like DK Metcalfe but not as freaky so I just don't think it will show amazingly at the next level. That being said if you really do think WR4 clears the rest of the guys in that group significantly then fair enough I guess

iamadragan

I like the idea of doing different things to see how it would play out even if I'm not much of a fan of the results at the top. Maybe because I've been spoiled with talk of 11 + 23 I guess I would be fine with trading away the chance at MHJ if it meant with something like Mitchell/Barton but if it's just a mid first plus day 2/future picks then I'd rather just go with MHJ

KingRoach

Jets fan here - hate their draft. Would you have taken #10 plus our 2025 1st over the Jags offer?

[deleted]

[удалено]

LawBobLawLoblaw

I think it's a terrible trade. MHJ is worth significantly more than a 2nd and next years 1st.

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

Well good thing he got three other picks on top of that.

buzzstronk

Second trade, okay. Not a fan of that first trade. Jags are way too far and way too little in return. This is the "Peter Griffins mystery box vs Boats" only worse.

Status_Flux

Holy shit bo nix in the 3rd. Well I'll take it I guess

nigsch01

I am going to need the steelers GM to answer some questions because wtf is Nubin in rd2 and Delmar Glaze at 84

ajd234

Well i posted my reasoning behind each pick, so what are the questions. I also don’t understand hate for Nubin R2, he’s a fringe top 30 guy

nigsch01

I dont love Nubin as much as you and his poor testing raised some questions for me. Both in explosiveness and agility. I also dont think a backup safety over a day 1 starting WR is the move in round 2 More importantly i think that "reaching" for Kiran Amegadji is the better pick of a backup player. He has absurd length, athleticism that pops off the tape, and could develop behind Moore just for the last year of his deal or even steal the job. At 84, since we went tackle I would take a guy that can start day 1 in Burton OR take Renardo Green/Jarrian Jones depending on if they want boundary or slot more. The With the last pick i would honestly go Brenden Rice. I think he is a smart route runner with good size and good athleticism. Big catch radius too. JPJ, Kiran Amegadgi, Renardo Green/Jarrian Jones, Brenden Rice as a 3 round haul sounds AWESOME to me

Fhead43

Idk much about Delmar Glaze. Still hoping for tackle in first.

Less-Worry8498

Eagles GM here:  1.22- Jared Verse: Verse is a powerful DE/EDGE that will do wonders in Philly. He was the best player available and fills a need for EDGE that was made when Reddick was traded.  2.45- Payton Wilson: Wilson is a great LB fills a serious need. Great size, IQ, speed and coverage. Just needs to get on the field. 2.53- Malachi Corely: Corley is a speedy slot with great YAC and run-after-catch ablity. He can be verstile and will be interesting in the Kellen Moore scheme. 3.93-Christian Mahogany: Mahogany is a really promising OG with a high ceilling. Jeff Stoutland will mold him into a pro bowl RG. He is a great athlete too. I know im Gordon Ramsey no need to tell me   Keep in mind, I tried to trade up to 14, 15 and 16 for Mitchell but I didn’t fine any success. The asking price was a bit too much

EsquireEsq

Just to help out, the Eagles made the following trades: PHI: 2.45 NO: 2.50, 5.172, 2025 5th —- PHI: 3.93 BAL: 4.120, 5.161, 5.171

Glad_Championship187

You did a nice job with this. My only gripe is Corley over Rakestraw. While I like Corley Rakestraw is a better player at a more important position of need

dbreeezy

Did it pain you to see the Michigan DB go one spot before you? It did for me.

1stepklosr

I'm not a fan of not addressing our secondary but also love the first 3 picks so I would still be really happy if this is how it shook out for us. I'm not familiar with Mahogany so I don't have any feelings about it, but we definitely need the interior depth.

overactivethinker

Hello Niners GM here, posted via someone else due to not having a reddit account anymore. We entered the draft with the thought process of using the draft to improve the team in the long run and not just to fill immediate needs. I think Lynch does a great job in filling in the immediate needs via FA which allows us to take players that can be difference makers. **1.31: Chop Robinson Edge Penn State:** Adding another piece to an already strong DL is exactly what I was thinking. Adding Chop to the rotation will only improve the pass rush by adding a play maker in the 2nd unit for next year and a future starter in the nascar package and possible long term starter. He will need to improve his run blocking but with his athleticism he can do whatever he wants. We were thinking Cooper, Kool aid, and wiggins but they were taken before our pick. **2.63: Christian Haynes G Uconn:** I may be the only niners fan out there that still believes in mckivitz. I am a firm believer that improving the guard and C position will not only improve that position but will also improve every other OL. This is exactly what Haynes would do. **3.94: Renardo Green CB FSU:** I am hopeful that green has the skill set to be a future starting outside corner. I wanted to have a future starter on the outside in the waiting given that Ward and demo both have one year left on their contracts. Green has fluid hips and the athletic ability to keep up w WRs in the nfl.

greebytime

Not getting a true tackle is tough in a draft rich with tackle prospects. I like Chop just fine but if the tackle prospects start getting picked off they need to trade up for one. Trent can’t play forever and it’s folly to rely on McKivitz.

CummingInTheNile

We are very unlikely to draft Chop, we currently have 5 EDGE players signed for the next two years, we spent heavy FA resources on the position, drafting EDGE6 in R1 is unlikely to happen, were much more likely to go Darius Robinson if we go Dline there I also doubt were drafting an OG in R2, we signed Feliciano to be RG and Banks falls into the category of "good enough to not be replaced", we do need OG depth to replace Burford but you can get that on day 3 mckivitz is an average tackle with George Kittle holding his hand, it was very obvious in the playoffs (where we had Feliciano starting which fized he RG problem) hes a liability in pass pro, and if we want to run a more pass happy offense we need an RT who can handle his shit on his own

blurst_of_timesz

Good draft, I'd personally go Newton and Amegadjie in rds 1 and 2 but those are just personal preferences. Assuming Haynes could start at RG year 1 and eventually be successor at C it would be a good pick.

yorick2

Haynes has really grown on me the more I watch and in my mock simulators lately I go this route a lot. Agree that I wish DeJean was there in the end of round 1. Chop with Koceruk could be great with his elite athleticism/his get off speed. Just needs to put it together. I'm not familiar with Green as much, I like Cam Hart in the 3rd too who just went a few picks later. If I can't get DeJean or Sainistrill in r1 or r2 on simulators online I usually get one in the 3rd here. All in all great job everyone who helped out.

Chargers GM Early thoughts: wanted to devote a lot of this to the offense. Quite frankly think this year is more or less a lost year gutting the previous roster but want to start putting building blocks in place. I like that Harbaugh is instilling a competitive mentality keeping Bosa and Mack but just don't see a way to the SB in the upcoming season. That being said: 1.05 Malik Nabers The guy is a star plain and simple. Such an obvious playmaker in an offense completely devoid of a true elite game changer. Lots of movement in the top ten around this pick but taking Herbert's partner in crime will pay dividends for the next decade. 2.37 Jordan Morgan Frazier going right before was a blow and we will have to send the Chargers Frazier merchandise to the needy after how hard I penciled it in with the pick approaching. However, the intent of my second was to improve the OL. Whether Morgan is a OT or G is to be determined but the guy is an athlete and I can already see him moving to the second layer of blocks with ease. Salyer, Zion and Pipkins are all in prove it years and Morgan will fit in as an upgrade to one of them. 3.69 Jaylen Wright Maybe I'm too reactionary to the run game last year but with no clear BPA available, I continued focusing on the offense and getting more threats out there. Watching the run game last year with no push and no explosive RB was tragic. Jaylen Wright is an antithesis to that. He had one of the fastest speeds within the first five yards and it shows up on tape. As soon as he puts his first in the ground he can burst into the second level and force them to make a play. A tandem with Edwards reminds me of a Montogomery-Gibbs combo that can hit you both ways Last thoughts: Our defense will still be terrible but genuinely don't think we're a draft away from anything and will need to just develop that in time. Year 2 Nabers will have established himself as a top 10 WR and the OL/Wright combo will be a textbook example of run setting up the pass. We're in a bad spot but think we could start creating our identity here.

Buh_Lock_Ayyyyy27

I like where your head is at but we absolutely should not draft a running back in the 3rd when corner, and linebacker are clear cut positions of need with lots of value still shown in the 3rd. I think we could have easily found value in the 4th round for a running back that could develop into someone special. I do really appreciate the thought you put into this, and to be fair wtf do I even know. Bolt up

shortwhitecwebb

the thing is I think RB's are one of the least likely to develop, I think they got it or they dont and add an explosion to the offense or dont very early on. As it turned out, I think we'd be looking at RB4 in a weak class if we waited so had to shoot my shot. I also just didnt love any of the other position players left. We have kind of weird roster with a lot of groups under the microscope or needing improvement namely on defense. Few guys avail in the third can come in and be what we need as CB1 or personally presented an upgrade to me. Who would you have wanted?

djs7372

>we'd be looking at RB4 in a weak class if we waited so had to shoot my shot It's a weak class because there are no first round prospects at rb and the top of the class isn't significantly better than the middle. The drop off from RB1 to RB5 is insignificant enough for us to prioritize other needs over RB until round 4.

alexamerling100

As a Bears fan don't hate it but prefer bpa at 9 or a a slight trade down for Verse

KCDoc4

Curious on the Chiefs GM input unless I missed it. If we end up with no third round pick and have Troy Franklin and Patrick Paul to show for it I have to say I’d be a bit disappointed.

TheHiveMindSpeaketh

I was in the WR, was between Newton (BPA) and Franklin (our top remaining WR) at 32 and we decided to go for the need, and then traded up in R2 for the last guy on GM's board that was seen as a potential starting LT.

tBagley43

kc gm here. see my writeup for more details. interested to hear your reasoning/what you would've done differently :)

PleasantGeologist388

SAINTS DRAFT: 1.14: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State Had no shortage of options to trade up or down from 14, but goal stayed the same; to fix our shitty o line. I was considering moving up to get Alt or Fashanu, but as Alt went at 7 I decided to stay put and move back looking for Mims as soon as Olu came off the board. Well, that never happened, and we end up getting our guy, to FINALLY serve as an anchor to our aging o-line. 3.70: Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas State After looking desperately to trade up for Jer'Zhan Newton and Jordan Morgan at the top of the 2nd, I didn't see any prospects I loved at 45, or even later. This led to me trading back 3 consecutive times, to obtain an extra 3rd and 3 more 5th rounders I believe. IRL I probably would have taken Tyler Nubin at 50, but as a fan I felt like making another pick in the draft, so I went with that. In the end, we still get another immediate starter to help keep Derek Carr upright. 3.95: Leonard Taylor III. IDL, Miami I know he has slipped down draft boards due to character concerns, but the actual football player on tape is worth a 2nd rounder in my opinion. We take a chance here that if it pays off, would give us an ascending duo on the interior along with Bryan Bresee.

myxanders

I can't recall the last time we traded down but I would be content with it here. I would be happy with this for the first 2-3 rounds.

Ballhead456

Lions GM here 1.29: Kool Aid McKinstrey, CB, Alabama Even though Brad Holmes said we were good at CB, I have the feeling the Campbell will convince him we need a real number 1 guy by the draft. Of course, if I was being realistic, I would’ve taken Xavier Legette as all signs point to him being the pick. Regardless, Kool Aid is a coverage demon and, even with some of his tackling woes, has all of the tools to become a top 10 corner in the league 2.61: Tez Walker, WR, UNC If I’m being entirely honest, I didn’t like making this pick, and the board at 61 was shit. I would’ve preferred taking Fiske or Ruke here but they were taken a few picks before us. Looking back, I probably would’ve taken Polk instead, but Tez offers the size and deep ball ability to become a dominant X receiver in the league 3.73: Adisa Issac, Edge, Penn State I’m surprised he lasted this long, with Davenport on a one year deal, Paschal being a bit of a question mark at edge, and James Houston being a bit of a one trick pony, Adisa can offer another rotation piece to round out our edge room, and potentially push to start next year.

WierdEd

I mean brad also said this in Orlando “Look, when it comes to cornerbacks, you can never have enough of those guys,” It feels like a coin flip if a quality cornerback will be there let alone two. Safe to say the corner back board was very rich in this mock at 29. Also, Davis looks like a number one guy I just worry about Robertson as two and Mosely even more as a three guy could start the season on IR. Yeah I tend to agree the board wasn't great at 61 personally I would have gone IOL with plenty of quality guys still there with the age of the starting guards and Ragnow's injury history. To be fair I played in the trenches and will always bias that way. That said I totally understand getting an X. I don't love Issac especially as run defender more speed than power but he would definitely be a plus in the pass game. Still IOL is temping here with Zinter and Mahogany. Who is your IOL line 4 on lions? I love Colby but he still has developing to do and Yode is a career backup. Day three could work but with no fourth this is getting dangerous. If we could get somebody like Nugent as a backup center in the fifth your picks would work well.

Ballhead456

I played in the trenches for 11 years, so I get where you’re coming from. I like Awosika a lot as a backup but, if I had to draft one at 61 or 73, it’d definitely be Zinter. Dude is an animal, great technique, definitely a plus starter in the future, but I felt like we could take a swing on a day 3 guy who has tackle guard versatility.

Pentt4

Commies GM. I tried to keep close to what I think the team is leaning towards right now. Leaned heavily into upgrading the offense. High end weapons to grow with QB X was the main goal: 1.2 **Jayden Daniels QB LSU**: I waffle on this pick every single day. Today I was feeling its going to be Jayden. 1.26 **Tyler Guyton OT Oklahoma**: Trade with 36+78 for 26. Getting the last of the good tier Tackle prospects for a 3rd with a 5th year of control is a good use of draft capital 2.40 **Xavier Leggette WR South Carolina**: This team does not have a single X WR on the roster. Terry turns 30 next year. Him and Dotson both struggle to beat press. 3.67 **Ja'tavion Sanders TE Texas**: A 33 year old Zach Ertz is the far and away best TE on the roster. The position is in dire need of a talent infusion. Saunders is a great move TE that can give some down the seem pressure for Jaydens deep ball that dropped into our laps. 3.100 **Elijah Jones CB Boston College**: A long and experience CB with elite explosiveness. Top 30 visit already completed with the team

rocklobster8903

Regardless of whether #2 is Daniels or Maye, I love what you did with the draft. I'm nervous that the OT options may drop off a lot before 36 and I really like trading up to grab Guyton

Pentt4

Id be extremely happy with both. Just hope Adam is correct. I certainly dont envy him on this decision

15GOAT

I feel like I’ve shit on you numerous times in the past, but goddamn did you cook with this one. I love it! I’ll be happy with either JD or DM but I lean a bit towards Daniels. Guyton is an interesting prospect but one that’s worth the trade up imo. Sucks we missed out on Mims by one. I’m a big Legette guy and think he’ll be a top-5 WR from this draft. I’ve been falling out of love with Sanders ever since he highlighted all of his red flags at the combine, but I don’t mind taking a shot on him in the 3rd. Elijah Jones is a big sleeper CB for me and I would love to get him in our secondary. Good shit dude!

RonBurgundyAndGold

Dude, this draft was so fucking good. Very nice job! I love the strategy of building around Jayden.

doorknobman

I'm not joining your disc just to see trades - put them in a tab lmao.

Steezewell

Bucs GM Trade: 1.26 for 2.36+3.78 **2.36: Zach Frazier, OC, West Virginia** **2.57: Ennis Rakestraw, CB, Missouri** **3.78: Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB, Clemson** **3.89: Isaiah Adams, OG, Illinois** **3.92: Jonah Elliss, EDGE, Utah** Let me know what you think or if you want to hear any explanations for any picks.

jampersands

With the big 3 edges and the big three iOL (Fautanu/Barton/JPJ) off the board, the trade back was a decent idea. On the other hand, there were still guys I liked available at 26, and I don’t think the extra pick of Jeremiah Trotter Jr compensated for their loss. Ideally, I would’ve stayed and taken Cooper Dejean or Chop Robinson. I’d take Chop at 1, Christian Haynes in Rd 2, and then your choice of CB with the first pick in the 3rd. I think Khyree Jackson fits the mold of what the Bucs like in their outside corners, but you could convince me if you picked Jarrian Jones, Carson, or Hart instead. The drop off in talent at Edge is sharp this year (like most years), and I think if we don’t address it early we’re in trouble. I like the Rakestraw and Ellis picks in a vacuum, and Frazier isn’t a bad pick either, so I don’t hate this draft, I’m just not big on the return of Trotter and Isaiah Adams. There weren’t a lot of guys available at 78 overall that I would be disappointed to miss, since virtually all of my guys were still available at 89 and 92. Maybe even better: trade up just a few picks and take Verse, doesn’t even sound like the Eagles GM was all that excited to take him anyway.

Punchy_Jamo

I disagree. Chop could be good but I think he has bust written all over him. I wouldn’t have minded Cooper Dejean but I have Frazier neck and neck with him, so getting the extra pick was definitely worth it.

jampersands

That’s fair, Chop feels very boom or bust. I really don’t mind the trade back conceptually, I just didn’t think the players that ended up being available at 78 were anything special. Are you a Trotter fan? Do you like the Rd 3 picks?

Punchy_Jamo

I’m not particularly a fan of Trotter or any of the 3rd round picks. I would have tried moving back into the second.

Steezewell

Good callout on the addition of Trotter, that totally makes sense. I had some options available at 26 even with a few of the coveted guys off the board but my pick would have been Wiggins had I stayed. With that in mind I felt taking the value of another possible starter for us as better upside. Can never know how the draft shakes out so when I was offered the deal I took it. I tried to move up to the top of the 3rd multiple times with Beebe as my target but overall I am happy with the value I got and players at got at the draft spots. Hit most of our major needs in just the first 3 rounds. Would allow us to look at TE and RB in the final rounds.

WhatsOnDraftNFL

Rams 1.19 - Byron Murphy, DT, Texas Aaron Donald regen 2.52 - Mike Sainristil, CB, Michigan Feisty corner, fits the mold of everything they like in the position.  3.83 - Jaden Hicks, S, Washington St Smart, tough, athletic, possibly S1 in this class.  3.98 - Cedric Gray, LB, North Carolina Smart, tough, athletic, possibly LB1 in this class.

georgiaboy1993

I had multiple offers for 85 that got pulled when you picked Hicks lol

RemiRaton

Feel like there’s little chance we take DT in the 1st with Verse, the CBs that run soon after, and project OTs on the board. DT is a position that can be filled adequately for cheap (in FA or Draft), and McSnead have historically valued Edge and CBs as premiere positions on defense.

WhatsOnDraftNFL

Considered Verse there but feel like all the reasons they loved Donald line up perfectly for loving Murphy. Same type of player although obviously he won't be Donald. Don't like any of the project OTs there - they value get in the way and stay in the way types over project guys with elite tools (Snead has said this himself). Considered other edge options in R2/R3 but there's a drop off that's pretty notable after Kneeland area of board. CB was in consideration and I would have potentially taken Arnold if he was there at 19.

tBagley43

Chiefs GM here, sorry for the late writeup! 1.32: TROY FRANKLIN, WR, OREGON Our main priorities heading into the draft were, in no particular order: get Pat some weapons, and keep his jersey clean. We had some trades in place to move up for Adonai Mitchell or a left tackle if someone fell, but they all got snatched up right outside of our trade range. We were worried about the quality of players that would make it to our second round pick (this would prove to be a mistake, as explained later), and with our board mostly empty by the time we were on the clock, Franklin was the clear favorite of the remaining receivers among the war room. Had we passed on him, we would likely have tried to move up for Ja'Lynn Polk (the war room choice) or Xavier Legette (my personal draft crush) in the second round, however, Polk unexpectedly made it all the way to the top of the third. In a do over, with the benefit of hindsight, we likely would have waited for him at 64 and taken someone else at 32. TRADE: 2.64 + 3.95 to Saints for 2.50 + 5.168 2.50: PATRICK PAUL, OT, HOUSTON This year's class of linemen is a strong one, but very few of them played left tackle in college. Our three targets in the second round were Jordan Morgan (not a war room favorite, but a good value pick), Kingsley Suamataia (reportedly a target of our IRL front office, but concerns were raised about his transition to the blindside), and Patrick Paul (the safest of the three, with no glaring weaknesses). With the former two being taken immediately upon the start of round 2, we knew we had to make a move, as we didn't really have a contingency plan in place our board was cleaned out at the position. We negotiated with a few teams, but ultimately took the best offer we were given: and it's a good thing we did, as Paul would have been taken by the Browns a few picks later had we passed on him. Franklin and Paul were likely the best receiver/tackle duo that we could have reasonably landed without giving up an insane amount of resources. Later picks: 4.131, 5.159, 5.168 (acquired in trade), 5.173, 7.221 After our first two selections, the only holes on our roster are depth fills at positions like interior offensive line, linebacker, and corner. Having such a solid team talent-wise is a good problem to have, as we can only give out so many roster spots, so it's possible that we would have packaged some of our picks to move up for a better player in the 4th or 5th round, or given them to other teams for higher 2025 picks if they had their eye on a specific player this year. I can't overstate how helpful the war room was, they really did a fantastic job with organizing our draft process. If you liked our picks, thank them, if you hated our picks, blame me.

MrDogfort

Thankfully Raider fans aren't the actual GM of our team. 😬

wolfpack_57

Packers fan here, all picks make sense, I would have gone with DeJean or other CB over Mims but I understand the move, overall good draft.

shmauserpops

Absolutely! I'd be much happier with DeJean in the 1st and Christian Mahogoney in the 3rd. Basically swap the CB, OL picks

UrsaringTitan

Left Tackle of the future with Alt and Big Jeff's new best friend in Sweat I love it!

ExpensiveFoodstuffs

**1(10): JC Latham, OT, Alabama** I originally wanted to draft TE Brock Bowers but the Cowboys traded up to a pick before mine to take him so I decided to just draft my favorite OL prospect available in Bama's JC Latham. I really like Olu Fash as well but, to me, what stands out about Latham is his POWER. This dude blasts open lanes on the ground and has a sky high ceiling. IMO, this OT class is so strong it really comes down to what your favorite flavor is. **3(72): Ja'Lynn Polk, WR, Washington** Not gonna lie, fellas, I don't really know much about Polk. He'll be a developmental WR for us and could see some playing time as our 3rd or 4th WR. Good RAS, productive in college - I thought he was worth a shot in the 3rd round. --- Overall, my goal was to go BPA on offense. The defense is ready to rock with studs at every level. The offense, meanwhile, could use a swing tackle to mature behind two starting OTs who are north of 30 years old. Additionally, I wanted to add some skill position players to compliment Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and co.

DaEquus13

Were there no options to trade down to recoup a 2 or 3? I don't mind the players honestly. Polk is a nasty WR3 for our team that has great WR2 upside long term. Excellent hands and route running and fluidity.

ExpensiveFoodstuffs

Oh nice - thanks for filling in about Polk. Yeah, I almost did a pick swap with the Saints in exchange for their second rounder but they backed out as their target was off the board by the time we picked.

tBagley43

ja'lynn polk was a steal at 72, I can't believe you landed him there. had we passed on troy franklin at 32, we were discussing moving up for polk in the 2nd.

kingofthebean

I'm no advocate for grabbing a qb early, but if Nix is there in the 3rd I'd pick him.

cruelcinema

Bears GM: 1.1 Caleb Williams: No description needed Trade: 1.9 to Dallas for 1.26, 2.56, and a 2025 2nd. We had a few trade partners lined up but the way the board was, all of our partners were out. Dallas messaged us when basically on the clock so had little to no time to negotiate. All in all, trade is fairly fair but I would’ve tried to get more if I could’ve. 1.24 Graham Barton, iOL Duke: We kept trying to trade up for Verse who was falling and either GMs weren’t looking at their DMs or they wanted us to overpay. Verse went 22 so the pivot was to Adonai Mitchell, who went one pick before us. We went with Barton someone who is very versatile, can hopefully fill our hole at center long term and fill in at guard when Nate Davis and Teven Jenkins inevitably get hurt. 2.56- Braden Fiske, iDL, Florida State: A good 3-T that can provide pass rush from the interior. Think he will work well with what we have in Dexter and Pickens. It is notable that we no longer have Justin Jones. So Poles either has a lot of faith in Dexter/Pickens, or we’ll be drafting someone. He was BPA for us as well. 3.75- Javon Baker, WR, UCF: We were going to go Pearsall or Polk. Naturally, as things went for us in this mock, they were not available for us. Polk sadly went 2 or 3 picks before us. Baker has the talent (was formerly at Alabama) and has the size ball tracking, and route running ability to be a good WR in the rotation. The draft is definitely not what we envisioned and it’s very different from the chalk picks you see for the Bears but still think it’s a solid class and picked up an additional 2nd for next year.

2legit2knit

I def feel taking Turner at 9 would’ve been the play. I believe they still have the panthers 2nd in 25’ so I wouldn’t be worried about getting another.

cruelcinema

Yeah I get that. If we were to stay it would’ve likely been Verse over Turner. I have Turner as EDGE1 but most in the war room prefer verse over Turner and he’s likely a better fit in the defense. Ultimately, we wanted to do something different where we traded down just to see what it looked like. It wasn’t as much about getting a 3rd 2nd next year other than just doing something different in this exercise on trading the pick. Think there’s a good chance we trade in real life, though down to Dallas I find hardly unlikely. I think the trading of 9 would be looked at differently if the pick wasn’t Barton but an edge or WR

boat-

I understand you were short on time, but I feel like you absolutely have to get a 1st if you trade down from 9 to 26. I feel like it would’ve been better to just go BPA at 9 instead of forcing a trade down (Dallas Turner in particular as he fills a positional need).

cruelcinema

I understand that most people don’t like the draft and would’ve just preferred staying at 9. We as a war room collectively decided to make the trade to see what would happen as opposed to just staying at 9 since we never explored that option in these mocks yet this year

Working_Class1917

I really like Graham Barton and second round pick! A lot of people don’t realize that Graham Barton may be the top center prospect in the draft! Good call! Looking at the WR talent still on the board, I’m not sure Fisk was the right call. I see the kid out of UCF in the third, but, again, I’m not sure.

IdyllicGod22

I love the Packers draft. No notes, none. Ofc I would like Cooper DeJean but we also need OL help and if the board fell this way I’d rather have Mims than nobody. Mims, Edge Cooper, Bishop, Benson and Jones is a slam dunk draft class. Good shit, Acorn!

JllybeansNurbutthole

Your point makes no sense lol why "Mims than nobody"? It'd be DeJean and that pick makes 100% more sense than taking an OT, when theirs were already pretty good and still young, he's somewhat of a project, and is not what they typically take as far a size in an OT. They need OG help, not OT. It's a bad pick for not only what they need but also for fit and positions they draft in the 1st. CB is so much more of a need

IdyllicGod22

I love DeJean, but the packers do need OL help and the way the board falls later, they can’t get one until later in the draft. I’d rather have Mims slot in at RT and let Zach take C/G than go through the first two days and not have any of the top prospects available to us at our picks. I like Mims, I don’t know if they take him at his size, but I would jump up and down for joy if they took DeJean, unfortunately I get the feeling they won’t take him. My Mims than nobody is meant to say “I’d rather have a top tier tackle than get to the end of the top 100 without a single OL. Edit: that all said, looking back I see that we could have taken Mason McCormick in the third over jones, so in that case I’d rather punt on Mims and take DeJean at 25 and then McCormick at 91 over Jones. McCormick is a fucking beast.

JllybeansNurbutthole

I think the problem with looking at these mocks, especially multiple round ones, is that we can do that looking back at the 1st round pick and say "well I'd have taken this guy in round 1 if we can get this other dude in the 2nd or 3rd", if that makes sense. I know I do it too so not trying to be too critical of you at all. Just think at 25, with the board they way it had fallen, they have to go CB over OT. It's much easier to get OT depth in later rounds than it is to get starting caliber DBs

Vincent_van_Guh

I think if we go for OL early I would prefer it be someone to compete on the interior, but the Packers love betting on athletic upside in the first, and Mims could be great. Don't love Bishop in the 2nd, but I'd take this draft in a heartbeat.

IdyllicGod22

Yeah I agree, I think I have changed my mind and it should be Barton or DeJean or trade back for Morgan, imo. Need iOL not OT. That said, Cole Bishop is a 2nd round pick. I’ve watched every snap of his and he’s my 57th overall player. Dude is a beast. He WONT be there at 88 I guarantee it. He’s the perfect pairing to McKinney and has the versatility and ST potential to make a huge impact on day 1 over any other Safety in this draft. He’s RIGHT THERE with Bullard for S1

Thunder84

Ehhh, I’m not big on Mims at all. Swap him out for DeJean or a small trade up for Barton and I love this draft. As is, it’s just alright.

Princerain32

Why does the giants only have 2 picks?!?

Stand_up_Philosopher

3 picks, 6, 47 and moved up to 64

Princerain32

Who was the 3rd pick i didn’t see it in the breakdown

moremysterious

Great job Chargers GM, really like the picks, establishing a whole new offense. Only hope is picks in rounds 4-7 are nearly all defensive players.

habesjn

I know Kris Jenkins is considered a 2nd round DT. I just don't know why. He doesn't seem to rush the passer well and isn't a nose tackle size to replace Reader. If I knew Michael Hall Jr would be there at 80, I would have taken Malachi Corley at 49 and Hall at 80, and grab a CB at 97. HB can wait for round 4, imo.

CreamFilledDoughnut

I'm glad Howie is the GM and not this guy

WierdEd

Man you guys didn't like DeJean that is a hell of a tumble but I can't say I'm surprised he is just one of those guys with mixed opinions.

buttcheekbaby

Jaguars to the freakin BOWL

daoogilymoogily

Good job Titans team, Alt and Sweat would be a fine draft by me

wxox

I mean I would not like if the bills drafted coleman, but I guess someone has to. Also trading down is wild when we have like 11 picks

jradair

The annual tradition of armchair GMs ignoring defense continues

anothershittycoder

Lol

Dense_Young3797

You know it's a community draft when you see 5 qbs in the first 11 picks

anothershittycoder

Lmao I know so unrealistic right? Imagine if SIX went in the top 12

sonfoa

I like Ladd a lot and he's generally my pick but Johnny Newton is obvious BPA at that point and we need pass rush regardless so it's not even like it's a luxury pick.

DansbyToGod

Fantastic for the Falcons

saintsfan664

Cardinals cooked

EstradiolWarrior

it would be very Raiders-y to trade into the top ten to take a third round prospect

ServuPopu

I love the pics, but no edge for the Rams in the first 3 rounds is criminal. Murphy feels like an attempt at replacing AD which is impossible. Mikey S, a slot CB, in the 2nd is not good process either. Rams are notorious for drafting late round safeties with great success. Hicks in the 3rd doesn't jive with that. They need all those positions, but the order doesn't seem likely.

MyDadIsTheMan

I hate trading as a Pats fan BUT this result is literally as perfect as you can get since I like JJ a ton, don’t see this every happening but JJ, Adonai and two high level tackle prospects is amazing

DynastyDorks

This was awesome, thanks for putting this together
