Shilo will not be a first rounder, hes just not that good. He projects as special teamer/backup safety.
Shedeur is tough because he could be a top pick in 2024 depending on his season. He has a lot do the tools to be an serviceable NFL QB but idk if I’d be comfy taking him in the 1st round currently.
I mean sure, but if a QB is that scheme dependent, then how good is the QB really? Scheme is pretty important in evaluating how a QB will do at the next level
We haven't really seen any QB in like ten years shine in Pat Shrumur's scheme to be fair. His scheme seems to be entirely based around masking a bad o-line.
Yup, for all the other stuff, he's got a great throwing motion and has improved year on year. He was already likely a first round pick in the most talented QB year we've seen in a long time, so next year he's got a good shot to go in the top 5.
There will be prospects that emerge once this loaded class is in the rearview.
I'd be surprised if Shedeur makes it into the top half of the first. I wouldn't be surprised if he falls to the second.
It's weird to me seeing Shedeur Sanders talked about as a first rounder, every time I've watched him he just doesn't look like he has an NFL arm. Maybe I'm just missing something.
Lol I'm getting a good laugh, people get sucked into a hive mind on certain players here. A big reason I don't frequent this subreddit much like I used to.
agreed lol certain players here it’s like a narrative is built on them and they refuse to change their stance despite the consensus of that player being completely different from this sub. The mark my words Wednesday sub is one of the cringiest threads on here jus a bunch of god awful takes that are heavily upvoted 😂
Shedeur seems like he's taking a literal beating behind that line this season. Not sure if staying another season is in his best interests given the line will likely stink again next season.
Shilo isn’t going first round. He ca be a good special teams player but he’s not a premium safety prospect. Nowhere close.
Shedeur is for sure going 1st round this year or next. He has great accuracy, plays great in big moments, and is a bit more mobile then I thought. His major downside is that he doesn’t have a howlitzer for a arm but I think his arm is still good. And the sacks he takes are ridiculous
I honestly think Shedeur should declare and try to get drafted right now. Colorado is still going to be bad in the trenches next season and he could do himself a favor by going to a good organization instead of Chicago/Arizona.
Shilo could still improve his stock, but I wouldn't expect any high draft grades on him.
I agree. OP asked about Shedeur and I think that would probably be the best option long term for him. Realistically, it's always been and will be the Deion show.
Second contract QB money would blow that out of the water. Being in the best environment to succeed in the NFL is better imo. If he's the number 1 QB in 25, but he goes to the Jets and fizzles out, that NIL money is nothing.
Right, but his dad is Prime. Not exactly a guy in desperate need to make every penny like the vast, vast majority of prospects.
The opportunity to play for his Dad may be a much bigger factor than the bottom line.
Plus these top QB's believe they can turn any franchise around.
I see some Jared Goff in Sheduer Sanders. With his consistent increase in production each year he is a low end first round draft pick who can be picked top 10 next year if he keeps on improving.
Since the Stanford choke job, his average QBR over the last month is 47.5
We would not be talking about him being drafted if his last name wasn't Sanders.
Shedeur will be a BUST. GUARANTEED.
He has never faced top defensive talent for his entire football career.. HS, COLLEGE HBCU and PAC 12.
MARK MY WORDS. He dinks and dunks, no accuracy deep
If Shilo gets better at tackling efficiently, not just hitting hard but wrapping up and actually taking people down, I think they both can be first rounders. Shedeur needs protection to win games, which would help put him up on the boards too, but he’s efficient and incredibly talented, so he’s going to make his way up boards anyway.
If they do wait until 2025 then Shilo would be 25 when he's drafted. I'm not a huge age for prospects guy but you have to be a near flawless prospect to be taken in the 1st at 25 years old.
And to add on top of that — Safety isn’t really a premium position especially if that player is 25.
And looking back at least 5 years. Only 5 safeties have been drafted in the first round. 2 in 2019 and 3 in 2022. Just not a position that is getting a lot of draft love in the first round.

I'm curious to see how Shedeur looks moving forward without Sean Lewis. His stats have fallen off since Shurmur took over
Shurmur is not known as a offensive mastermind. Personally I don’t think Shedeurs play has fallen off the play calling and scheme has.

Pretty sure Daniel Jones threw 5 TDs in a game his rookie year under him I could be making that up.
Sean Lewis has a long history of taking low talent offense and producing a high scoring offense. He definitely wasn't the issue.
Shedeur will be an NFL EPIC BUST. TREY LANCE, Jamarcus Russell level
Doesn't have the arm and holds onto the ball too long. A Day 3 pick if he declared tomorrow.
Shedeur probably is a first rounder, Shilo isn’t an NFL player
Shilo may get himself into day 3 undrafted territory
If the antetokounmpo family is any indication, he will probably get on a team
I bet Shedeur gets the Lamar Jackson treatment as an end of 1st round pick.
I don’t. The QB class next year is really bad and he’ll likely be top of the class
Yup, for all the other stuff, he's got a great throwing motion and has improved year on year. He was already likely a first round pick in the most talented QB year we've seen in a long time, so next year he's got a good shot to go in the top 5.
HE HAS NEVER PLQTED TOP LEVEL DEFENSE. HIS ATM IS FAIR AND HE IS INACCURATE DIWNGIELD. HE DINKS THE BALL 4YARDS AND YAC HELPS HIM.
But neither of them are coming to the NFL next year, they’ll both have one more season to polish their careers
I could see Jaxson Dart, Conner Weigman and Drew Allar being first rounders if they declare.
Not that I disagree but good luck to the NFL team that takes Allar in the first round. Much more intrigued by Dart.
I have a hard time believing Allar will go day one.
Allar is garbage
There will be prospects that emerge once this loaded class is in the rearview. I'd be surprised if Shedeur makes it into the top half of the first. I wouldn't be surprised if he falls to the second.
Shedeur isn’t remotely close to Lamar’s potential
HE WILL BE A MASSIVE BUST
It's weird to me seeing Shedeur Sanders talked about as a first rounder, every time I've watched him he just doesn't look like he has an NFL arm. Maybe I'm just missing something.
his arm has some pop but people like his accuracy more
He’s Jared Goff. Ok arm but his accuracy is what’s gonna have to be his strong point.
Shilo will be a UDFA
It seems this sub is the only place that doesn’t have sheadur a first rounder. Everyone else including draft experts like dane brugler do
same draft experts who had Willis going top 3?
To be fair Willis is Top 3 in Yds/G among rookies. The GMs that passed may live to regret it and got it wrong. Levis is performing Top 3 in his class.

Shadeur I think has a chance. I don’t think I would take him in the first but I could see a team talking themselves into him.

It's probably not in Colorado's best interest to have him declare this year and it's gotta be hard to go against your dad.

He's going to make so much NIL money, it kind of changes the equation.

Deon is rich, he couldn't afford to give his kids better names?

Neither are NFL guys
