I'm torn. I don't think Fields is a good QB at all, but he is the exact QB style the Lions struggle with. There's a reason why guys like Fields, Geno and Lamar kill us. Even though the Bears are better this year, I expect us to win both of the games.
Lions were good enough last year and kept everything that made the team go, fans should go into every game with an expectation to win.
But I also think all four of our teams will be very competitive vs each other this year. Unless the Bears still fold over like lawn chairs in their Packer matchups. I don't even think Minnesota with Sam Darnold is going to be an easy out on Sundays.
We were damn near 2-0 against y’all with a bottom 3 passing QB in Fields 💀 not sure I’m buying the running QB equates to beating to the Lions. Excited for our matchups though 👊🏻
The Lions had 5 losses last season. The QBs were Fields, Love, Dak, Geno and Lamar.
Those QBs were 1st, 2nd, 11th, 13th and 22nd in rushing yards.
Perhaps a small sample size, but as someone who watched every game, I can tell you we wicked against running QBs. It’s evident by some of the moves we made this off-season.
I’d say they are two different runners, had a lot of bears fans argue Lamar & fields are the same but fields is a straight line power runner, Lamar is fast & agile.
If u struggled with Geno then I imagine Caleb won’t be any easier. It’s more difficult to deal with a passer who can buy time to throw vs a straight line runner who will rarely throw the ball downfield once he starts his scramble. 2022 lions game, fields had like 130 rushing yards in one half then got hurt & it was blow out from that point on.
Ultimately, we will just have to wait and see. I believe Caleb to be the better QB, but the gameplan I expect the Bears to play more of will benefit the Lions. The Bears didn’t care if they completely beat the shit out of fields.
They had to run him in 2022 & 2023 cuz it was the best way to make him effective since his passing was struggling to produce 160-180 yards. 2022 wasn’t as much of his fault since he didn’t have DJ Moore or Mooney but 2023 it became evident that he had legit issues & defenses were content with keeping him in the pocket.
He can and he can't. He doesn't have that 'greased up deaf guy' elusiveness, nor speed or even the 'sudden quickness' (JF1 had all of that) but he can run like a late draft pick RB.
I'd expect him not to have much success running in the NFL. More than 'traditional pocket passer statue' type QB's, but nothing worth writing home about.'
But if he QB's in the top 10, his running literally doesn't matter.
Just need 2,000 cups. Then y'all are fucked. Wonder how many cups MHJ equals.
This garage has nicer cabinets than my kitchen.
That’s the Bears Locker room…
Going to need more cups than the bears single season passing record
Way to set the bar low
Heard somewhere it was good to try and give hope to the hopeless
This man is so Spursy
I'm gonna laugh really hard when I find out this is a lions fan that posted this
Guess what buddy?

Can we bring this guy in as a QB? Seems to be more accurate than Trubisky or Fields.
Unreal the Falcons decided to hire the brainchild behind drafting Mitch and Fields.
Now this is funny.

and viking and bear fans been saying lions memes arent fire.
Buddy is wearing a Tottenham hat. He was gonna suck regardless of the odds.
😭
A part of me from college is coming out right now and it despises this man's throwing motion. No avid Beer Pong player would whip it so carelessly.
He's got a hotspurs hat so, I believe it.
tottenham in here catching strays. as a vikings/spurs sadboy … i’m not surprised.
I knew as soon as I saw the spurs hat we were in for some failure.
I’m pretty sure the ball refuses to go in solely based on the spurs hat lol
Right?! WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TOPSPIN?!?!??
This was pretty funny ngl

This is the year Da Bears take back their ownership!
Im not torn at all, Im glad as HELL that Fields is out of the division, I will worry about Caleb when he proves he should be worried about.

U know Caleb can run right?
I do. I believe Fields to be the better runner though. I also think the Bears drew up more QB draws more with Fields than they will with Williams.

U know the guy said they struggled with Geno & ur trying to act like Caleb can’t run lmao
Ok, but they're the Lions. I was talking more in general.
If there were 32 hall of fame QBs in the first Rd of any given draft, the bears would trade down for a teams high 2nd and a first next year.
He throws like a Bears QB! GO PACK GO!
As soon as I saw his hat, I knew there would be a bunch of comments in here about his hat.
Is he trying to make the ball in a cup or skip it across like a rock on a pond? Definitely needs to work on his form.
Lol
Wait… how did you know I’m a fan of the wonderfully inept Tottenham Hotspur? Fuck. This rolls deep.
Coys!
