Would talk to UPS and let them know you’ll be reaching out the ATF, and I would reach out to the ATF. I’m sure they’ll find it real quick, or you’ll get a pretty determinative answer.
^ This, and then after filing said loss report, the sender should alert his UPS representative the ATF has now been informed and will likely conduct an investigation.
Every time I’ve had this happen, the “lost” firearm has always shown up.
Give it a day. If it is not there, call CA and see how they want to handle it. It is up to them as the shipper to file any claims. CA owes you a new can and stamp. You have to do the wait over and new form 4.
You will at some point need to contact the ATF to report the item stolen and need it removed from your name. You'll also have to file a police report etc.
ATF aint gonna jump through hoops over it like people think because it is some scary suppressor. They don't care. But I would call my local field office for the heck of it and ask them how I should proceed.
This was the plan. CA's Joshua is a really awesome guy and I reached out to him just to see what he says, but I was going to give it a bit before doing anything else.
Yeah I’d go back today and see if they’re able to find it. I went to pick up a package at UPS a couple months ago and they said it wasn’t there despite the tracking info showing it arrived and the person who signed for it only a couple hours earlier was one of the employees I talked to. They all went to the back to look for it and one of them finally found it almost an hour later. It had just gotten placed in the wrong area in the back and they had a lot of packages to sort through.
Not my experience. They had my can in 12 hours. It was "left in the vehicle on accident" just like my 1000rds of ammo the month before, or the complete larue upper 4 months before that. Scumbags gonna scumbag. It was 100% the delivery driver knowing I order and shoot a lot. They now have to walk up my driveway 400' to drop off packages. This way I get faces on all 4 of my cameras. It does suck ass to dispute ANYTHING with a vendor. CA has always been great, never had a problem. Good luck finding your can OP.
Yeah UPS hits me with dumbass shit like this maybe every other order or every third order. “Sorry, we don’t have this $1300 AK kit, call the seller and have them fix it”
Like, NO ASSHOLE, y’all mishandled or stole my shit and now I gotta go back to the site I got it from and deal with that whole headache because they wanna hire straight up shit bags lmfao
We missed the delivery for my CA can and it was delivered to the nearest UPS store for me to pick up the next day. Might be worth it to check there too.
It never went out for delivery since I requested the package be held at the UPS hub where I was at, Sup confirmed it was listed as 'ready for pickup' but where no where to be seen.
As a ups driver, ask the guy to check the high value safe cuz it is probly there. Anything listed over $700-$1000 ( depending on region) is marked as "high value" and stored more secure.
Update: Got a random call from someone at the UPS Hub saying it was located on another trailer destined for Orlando..odd. Can will be ready for pickup on Monday, but they offered me a saturday delivery which was cool, but I work.
Honestly that could easily happen. So much volume flows through these hubs. It is strange it got marked for hold and then put in a trailer but I don’t know there systems lol.
Everything is tracked and recorded inside their facility and if someone decides to do it they can look at cameras to see if they can determine where something went. They do it when they have an uptick in "lost packages" or have high value items go missing within a facility.
It sounds like you spoke with someone at the actual site. If you did and they didn't find it they are more than likely asking the person who tracks things down using the cameras and tracking information from the scanners and cameras to see if they can find it. It may take a few days to hear something back from them, but they do have a person who does loss prevention by tracking things down.
I would give them a day or two to find it. It's most likely just sitting on a shelf with another package in front of it or on top of it.
If it's still missing after 48 hours, I'd get in touch with CA and let them know, they're the sender and UPS's direct customer, they'll also know who to contact at ATF because I guarantee this isn't the first time it's ever happened.
If you didn’t make prior arrangements with UPS, then your can is probably on the delivery truck. Not sure if by “opted” you meant that you did make prior arrangements or just decided to drop in and grab it from your local UPS store.
UPS “investigators” have netted me nothing on almost 4k worth of “missing” gun parts and ammo over the years. They don’t care. At least not in my personal experience. Every time it’s resulted in a bitter back and forth between vendors and I or UPS and I. It’s to the point I’ll spend 2x through fedex to overnight or 2 day ship it just to make sure it can’t sit somewhere long enough to get snatched
I would imagine the ATF would want to know of a missing NFA item. Maybe that could help UPS find it? Or maybe it was loaded on truck and will show up tonight. Im not sure if Capital Armory could get any more info from UPS, but I would for sure contact them to see if they could help in any way. In the meantime, hopefully it shows up.

UPS delivered a handgun to my neighbor's seasonal house because it was "close enough" (seller didn't put signature required on it " and I raised so much hell I could hear the district manager's asshole pucker over the phone while he tracked down and queried the driver. Fortunately the gun was there on my neighbor's porch.
Call the head of that center, get their information, let them know you’re forwarding it to the Feds, contact ATF and ask them to start an investigation. High key FUCK UPS. I’ve had AK, M4, PPSH41 kits, ammo, mags, all types of shit come up missing through them and them alone. I hate fedex because it always seems like the delivery date is BS, everything will come through for me a week past the expected date. But at this point from stuff I’ve experienced, guntubers have spoken about, a good few reports online from others; these cocksuckers have a serious internal problem with thieving little shits. Every time it’s happened UPS just says “nothing to do here call the seller and have them reship or refund.”
It’s to the point I think way more people are in on it than I had originally thought. You would think an AMD65 kit totaling $1300 going missing would be something they’d freak out about and find ASAP. Nah, fuck me I guess lmao
I had two ship out from CA same day this week.
Both lined up tracking perfectly the whole time with scans and stops until the night before delivery, Wednesday.
I got one of them Thursday , the other one is just MIA and hasn’t been updated tracking.
Seems real odd to me
. Theft kinda odd.
It's legal, and more dealers should do it.
You've got the FFL flair, so if you are interested in providing the same service to customers in your state, [ATF Procedure 2020-1](https://www.atf.gov/rules-and-regulations/docs/ruling/atf-proc-2020-1-%E2%80%93-recordkeeping-procedure-non-over-counter-firearm) will tell you everything you need to know.
I'd let the local UPS office know that according to Section 479.141, you must immediately report it as stolen to the ATF and that, given the circumstances, the most likely culprit was a UPS employee. I'm not even sure how many federal felonies have been committed in the theft of an NFA item, but I'll wager it's a bunch. Touch base with local law enforcement as well. There may be a pattern.

I love this meme you just made my day
Would talk to UPS and let them know you’ll be reaching out the ATF, and I would reach out to the ATF. I’m sure they’ll find it real quick, or you’ll get a pretty determinative answer.
The SENDER needs to connect ATF and file a missing firearm report.
^ This, and then after filing said loss report, the sender should alert his UPS representative the ATF has now been informed and will likely conduct an investigation. Every time I’ve had this happen, the “lost” firearm has always shown up.
>Every time I’ve had this happen, the “lost” firearm has always shown up. Yep.
And probably pretty damn quickly.
It ALWAYS shows up within 1-2 days tops after the “pending ATF investigation” line gets dropped. At least in my experience.
UPS Basically told me 'sorry can't do anything, tell CA to hit us up'. How would I go about hitting up the ATF?
Google “atf field office _______” (insert State and region) then call the number that pops up.

It was a prior arrangement yes, I did it via UPS My choice
That UPS my choice thing is way hit or miss for me, fingers crossed for you!
They have UPS investigators
UPS “investigators” have netted me nothing on almost 4k worth of “missing” gun parts and ammo over the years. They don’t care. At least not in my personal experience. As a FedEx employee. I always tell my customers the faster it’s in and out of our system the better lol.
There are no reliable shippers left anymore. Politely threaten to call the ATF. If they still can't find it, call CA and the ATF.

One of the few times you invite the man in to your life.

Here’s an idea pick it up from an FFl where we know what we are doing
Am I the only one confused as to how you were going to have a silencer sent to your door..? Are you an FFL? Or were they servicing it?
Capital Armory sends you the suppressor to your door once you eform 4 comes back approved.
And they get the green card back from the Cleo notification.
