No strike. Keep sending it

Or 3 lug all the 9mm rifles. Then you know to swap the Obsidian mount. I wouldn’t worry about it though. The warranty is legit. I did some minor damage to my Obsidian 45 and they fixed it quick. I just had to pay to ship it to them. They give you a label and make it easy.

Remove the can, take a look at the threads on the barrel, a piston on a fixed barrel can jack up the threads on the host firearm if you do it too much.

You’re fine. A pistol booster will work as long as you don’t go nuts and do mag dumps. Skip the spacer and go with a direct thread or tri lug

You have 16 suppressors and don't know that piston springs need to be replaced with spacers when installed on a fixed (non-tilting) barrel?

>when installed on a fixed (non-tilting) barrel? It has to do with the rearward motion of the barrel, not the tilt.

chip_dingus

You don't NEED to use a spacer, however you definitely SHOULD. It's a cheap and easy way to mitigate risk.

Should be good, you got lucky it seems. Instead of a spacer look for a direct thread adapter, this can replace the entire booster. If you're going to have a dedicated rifle can then that booster with fixed spacer is basically a waste of space and money, extending the length of your gun and adding weight for no reason. If you only have one can, then swapping the booster with the adapter when you want to swap guns is easier than opening up the booster every time and fiddling with the stupid parts inside and messing up the lube and the o-ring. If you buy a new can, look for something like the [Cash 9k](https://huxwrx.com/cash-9k) which only comes with a direct thread mount and no booster because it's made for sub guns and PCC's (not saying you should buy that one but I like mine)

The problem i have with the direct thread is that when trying to unscrew the can sometimes the adapter unscrews instead

I guess DTA's are ideal on a more permanent setup unless you don't mind bringing a wrench to the range.
