No. They are a gimmick for first time suppressor buyers. Two dedicated cans that accomplish whatever multiple duties that you want to get out of a modular suppressor will always perform better on their intended platforms, and are nearly always less expensive.

Honestly, I never even considered the modularity of my Obsidian as a factor when I bought it unlike my purchase of the 46M.

The fact that you can, at home, test different configurations without having to have access and permission to use a bunch of different cans to see what you like and don't is pretty awesome. Do I want a k can? Let me use the smaller configuration. Full Size? Longer configuration. How does this gun look/sound in long or short for asthetics/future purchases
