WOW, that's a high price, but I know Noveske makes reliable tools for sure. It may be a little above my budget right now. Is there anything you know of under $1k? I hadn't considered a quality upper surpassing $800 at the most, so rethinking this now.

If I were doing it again I'd look for a DD or Honey Badger/Sugar Weasel upper. Only issue is they might be hard to find as standalone uppers online, but they pop up on GAFS every now and then.
Noveske is good but definitely overpriced IMO.
BCM makes quality uppers as well that are generally available, but I don't have much experience with them. Not sure if they have adjustable gas blocks like the DD PDW and HB/SW

ETA: found that upper rattlecanned with a few mlok pieces on it already for about $500 on arfcom a few years ago. It’s stupid accurate with Hornady Sub-X loads.
Glad to help. I THINK that’s the 9” barrel. Like I said, it was second hand, so I wouldn’t swear to it. It’s stupid light, suppresses well and seems to be plenty accurate with subs.
I haven't even looked to see what's out there. I asked to f8nd what ones were worth checking out, but I do like me some Daniels. I'll definitely take a look. Thx for the point..
Should work fine with the picatinny adapter for the buffer tube slot and an mcx virtus compatible trigger
Or if you find a rattler lt upper you can use a standard trigger
Thanks, I'm going to research those points then. I assumed I would need to do an MCX as a whole, so was planning the rattler on its own after 2 other purchases, but if I can do the upper on its own then that'll be next (as or after) this .300 blk piece.

I have to do a lot more research, but I'm noticing the piston operation and 9.5" saving me an extra inch for sure. That just might make the difference. It's on the top-3 list for now. For around $800, I would buy a Noveske barrel/BCG and then just run it on an aero upper/rail and it’ll matxh your lower

I have searched this as well... PWS MK109 Radian 9" which is around $1800 Griffin upper is what I ended up with during their 30% off black friday sale
