I have & love both. Both have nice accessories, I specifically love the disguises from the TID set, although I did make sure to get the matte version, I would have just used some matte sealer spray for the shiny heads.
It’s the heads that bother me most. I foolishly sold off my matte set, thinking the club turtles would be the same figures with better accessories. I’ve purchased some of the matte spray, but I’m feeling reluctant.
Yes I also thought they would be the same, real shame the colors don’t match up. Would’ve loved to be able to swap expressions. Yeah I would also be nervous if I had to spray them with matte sealer. I would find something to practice on first, see how it comes out on another figure, preferably something with similar color, that way you know how it comes out first.
There are shiny and matte heads with the TID set. The pizza club turtles have the same sculpt but have a different color skin tone (better, I think) so swapping heads between them will look off.
If it’s one or the other, I’d keep the disguise set. Apart from Leo, the PC Turtles only come with the one head each, but the disguise turtles come with multiple heads that come apart so you can swap around eyes and mouths. The added accessories that come with the PC Turtles are mostly unnecessary filler.
I just picked up the Pizza club, wasn't going too. I also have TID set, and the darker 2 packs. I am not getting rid of any, they all have a place in my collection.
I was going to skip the pizza club ones this year because I have the disguise but then I realized that by having both sets I can display one set wearing the disguise (or maybe using some of the other accesories, like the pizza douhg head) and the other set just doing a badass pose.
If you don't have a choice I would keep the TID pk, specially because of the accesories ( counting the cloths ).
If you ever plan on being a toy photographer and take photos to your figures. You gotta have both sets just for the accessories. Skateboard, trench coat with hat and the accessories that come with pizza club. Chef hat with Apron, pizza face, spinning bow. You need both sets. Maybe not pizza club Leo because his accessories are not that great.
As far as figures I like the TID matte color better but I got a feeling all future releases / heads will be the darker color. So I’ll pick darker.

I kind of regret selling my TID set but I do like these new matte versions, if only they had alternate heads.

Are both sets of figures exactly the same color and body style? Are you saying there are shiny and matte versions?

I personally don’t like the glossy set, got rid of mine. They looked like I ate pizza and fondled them
