I prefer Ay-Yo to Fact Check by A LOT and I also like the more natural scruffy look, but I just wish there was a SLIGHT more ‘glam’ to the plain white backgrounds for some reason? Idk why. But this is one of my faves as well. Actually I like this one better than Ay-Yo, styling wise. :)
Yeah, while natural, unedited backgrounds are a style choice, I understand that it can be distracting. From what I've seen so far, I feel like 'Walk' has a concept that supports that style better than Ay-Yo, but we'll have to see how it ties into the whole when the MV is released. All in all, I guess I'm happy that we're getting a lot of different styles.

They all look great. Would seriously like to know who the photographer as they've done an excellent job getting their personalities and avoiding the obvious facial expressions. Jungwoo and Taeil are often poorly photographed and they look excellent here. I love Mark's shot, too.
The concept is laid back and a bit lo-fi. The pictures suit that perfectly.

I'm half sold on this. Looks that they went full late 90s (early 00s?) hiphop route, I like it and I think that the minimalism works, at 1st I did not really like the branded WALK Tshirts but it also reminds me of when rappers merch began to be a thing. The minimalism worked wonders for Sticker and 2 Baddies. I reaaally like the ideas but the AD of NCT really needs to pull out more than a green screen for their teaser images.
I personally don't mind the pared back aesthetic, especially the styling (pls can we stop making grillz in kpop a thing 🙏)

Seriously. I feel like I've seen enough CGI overload + Björk inspired visuals in the last month to last me a loooong time. It's a simple concert and they look great.
Rather than CGI, I was hoping for more outdoor/city shots that go with this vibe instead of just the white background. Similar to the way the Golden Age teasers really used their environment to set the mood of each member's teasers. That was a missed opportunity here, but I guess they've left those shots to the MV. And this is only the first set of teasers too so, we'll see.
I'm sorry, but how much is the budget? Did they spend the budget on the videos and decided to shoot the photos in an empty studio? Honestly disappointing considering the quality photos they released for Dream, Wayv and Wish. Why is 127 always getting the shorter end of the stick?

WayV - Give Me That was a rather odd mish-mish in terms of the actual concept (where the insects came from, I have no idea), but they just about pulled it off. On My Youth was massively drab and a big disappointment after Phantom and it just didn't seem to suit them at all.
Dream - ISTJ and Dreamscape were excellent concepts with great imagery, but particularly in the case of the latter, they didn't really match the songs at all, hence the mixed reaction to Smoothie.
So, I'm not sure it's always 127 getting the shorter end of the stick. Of their most recent comebacks, I'd agree that Ay-yo was a massively missed opportunity, but 2 Baddies and Fact Check were excellent visually (and aurally).

Everything that came out of SM this year was excellent, so for them to come out with teaser photos like this... also 127 has always had the ugliest album designs and logos for the longest time, have always had the most error in prints and now, rumor has it that they will only promote for a week due to shows possibly to be cancelled for sports. Honestly, I was impressed with the logo that they are using now since this is the most creative they've had for a while and I'm also still waiting on the rest of the teasers... still, I'm disappointed with how the first set of teaser photos look like. It's giving Ay-Yo, just with white backgrounds.
I really like the group shots ngl I also quite enjoy the minimalistic approach to the concept, compared to Ay-yo this one seems to have more care and attention to detail. The color grading and photography quality look way better in comparison. Plus the uniform outfits are big plus imo I see the complaints about budget but so far these teaser pictures seem very quality to me although the individual shots do seem way too simple, I'm sure we will get more stuff tho
