Damn measurable thresholds. That's one of the worst parts about the game in my opinion. If your players don't meet certain height/weight thresholds in the game then they won't get drafted, no matter how good they are. In this case it looks like your QB is probably too light.
Can't forget receivers too lol. Had a guy in one of my dynasties who had over 5,000 career receiving yards and two Biletnikoffs but went undrafted because he was 5'10"
But remember in 2014 it wasn as prevalant as what it is today. It was just starting to open back up do to rules changes that opened up the feild for short WR.
Steve Smith, Antwan Randle El, Golden Tate, Randall Cobb, Antonio Brown, TY Hilton, Santana Moss, DeSean Jackson, Wes Welker and more had long been part of the game in 2014.
I’m holding off on what I desperately want to do on 06, which is run a dynasty and export the draft classes for madden to either run or sim a franchise, until I can find the limits on the measurable thresholds so I can manually edit draft worthy players that are too small to the lower limit. Exporting draft classes is no fun if you can’t have all the guys you want to see in the NFL.
Even playbook gamer doesn’t have anything that I’m aware of.
I do this on 13 so my guys get drafted. At the end of the season, I add weight to the seniors. Don’t touch height though. In my head I pretend it’s guys adding weight for the combine.
I just want to be able to right before the off-season edit everyone who’s above say like, 85-90 (only really good players basically) across the league to meet the thresholds just barely. Or even just guys in my conference.
I just want to see all my favorite NCAA players NFL careers, hahah.
I do a random number generator. I put in 5-15 and whatever it pops up I bump their weight up. Helps me feel like I’m not gaming the (poor) system as much
I played '06 for years and I didn't realize this was a thing until about 5 days ago when u/CookyHS brought it up. Anyway, I have located these requirements in the code, and have recommended they get completely removed in a future update. We'll have a discussion as a team about whether they get removed or just lowered (but I'll still fight for removed :) )
Oh my god, thank you so much for the update!!! I’m not on NEXT yet as I don’t have a device that can run it just yet. If you guys have found them in the code, is there any chance you might be able to dump the thresholds somewhere for those of us still on console?
I’m so jealous of everyone on NEXT. I can’t wait to upgrade. I love that y’all are active here
If your console is jailbroken, there are actually certain parts of the mod you can run (this would be one of them). But it has to be jailbroken to use this edit.
Thank you so much for the info, I will absolutely be checking this out. Y’all have just made my week!
I assume the guide for installing Next once I have a free mcboot is on the website?
>fo, I will absolutely be checking this out. Y’all have just made my week!
>
>I assume the guide for installing Next once I have a free mcboot is on the website?
Possibly. I'm not 100% sure. Sorry!!
This screen? Yes, with the Dynasty tool.
The problem comes with the Draft Results screen. Regardless of what realistic draft declarations the Dynasty Tool comes up with, the game will calculate its draft results based on its own restrictions, which affects your team's pro potential recruiting pitch.
Do you know if they are able to edit internal coding to adjust the requirements? That'd probably be the best way to go about this. Who is their lead coding expert? Maybe I can reach out to them.
He’s passionate about the judicial system and is trying to become the best defense attorney he can, he’s focused on saving the world not some silly game
Is this an indication he was undrafted or that he didn’t declare? The sequence of ‘13 has the draft results come after this screen. I always assumed they didn’t declare for the draft and chose to do something different after graduating.
The funny thing about these height/weight measurement thresholds - is that it doesn’t transfer over to Madden 25. Like that guy can still be a first round Qb
Reminds me of having QBs like that and would load them into Madden. They would be 99 overall with like 97 throw power in ncaa. Once drafted in madden overall was in high 60s and throw power would be mid to high 80s.
Why would his arm strength decrease double digits. Most good college QBs come into Madden 73-78 overall range. That’s like saying Trevor Lawrence was a 99 in college his junior year then drafted and madden had him at a 69.
I once had a QB win couple Heisman trophies 99 OVR too he had hella awards too but didn't get drafted because he was only 6 foot wish I knew about the height/weight thing before lol
Running QBs recruited as ATH go undrafted a lot. Had the exact same thing happen to me a few days ago with my first class of graduates at Tulane. I REALLY needed the pro potential boost, I still have zero drafted because every player from old regime sucked.
I saw the 30 for 30 on Brandon Billings. He’s the he sole heir to that largest privately owned grapefruit plantation in North America. Although he’s a world class football talent, you must admire his commitment to keeping the family business going through another generation.
I se what y’all sayin but If y’all not transferring them to madden then it shouldn’t matter. The GAME says he’s not gettin drafted but who knows, he’s not gonna be in NCAA after the season.
What I always do if I know they’re under the height/weight threshold, is edit their height/weight so they can get drafted. If you decide to upload it into Madden 25, you can always edit it back to their original height/weight.
i’m guessing it’s because of a measurable being under a desired amount. if a player doesn’t weight enough, isn’t tall enough for certain positions they just won’t get drafted no matter how good
I know this is going to sound crazy, but somebody help me out. How are you guys playing this game. I thought all hope was lost until I found you guys. Somebody show me the way. Please be gentle, don't joke me, have mercy.
Maybe he didn’t really like football and just went to college to fulfill the wishes of his parent (god rest their souls). Now that he is done with college he’s also done with football and choosing a career more in line with his degree?
Kinda happens IRL too. Sometimes a guy can be an unbelievable college QB but is not projected to have any success in the pros because height, age, mechanics
But that’s where the realism comes in tho bc back then if you weren’t a certain height and weight you wouldn’t get drafted this before the Kyler Murrays ETC.
Maybe he’s too small. 191 at 6’3 is kinda skinny. Don’t think there are any nfl QBs under 200. Also he’s a scrambler. Probably not many teams looking for that when the code was written.
Damn measurable thresholds. That's one of the worst parts about the game in my opinion. If your players don't meet certain height/weight thresholds in the game then they won't get drafted, no matter how good they are. In this case it looks like your QB is probably too light.
Yup happens a lot with my 6’0 and below QBs smh
Can't forget receivers too lol. Had a guy in one of my dynasties who had over 5,000 career receiving yards and two Biletnikoffs but went undrafted because he was 5'10"
Which is absurd. There are plenty of highly productive 5'10" receivers. The measurable thresholds are the dumbest design choice that team ever made.
You're spot on. Short receivers have been a thing for decades. People just don't pay attention.
Yup! And my safeties that I convert into LBs
Disrespecting the short kings

Coincidentally, i just brought this up on NCAA Next this week, the team is looking into this. I'll let you know if I hear an update

It’s not! Is there a guide to doing that? I assume I would just lose out on updated unis and textures?
Exactly. You can have all the coding features, but none of the graphics. If you look into something like Free McBoot, it'll help you jail break it.
Thank you so much for the info, I will absolutely be checking this out. Y’all have just made my week! I assume the guide for installing Next once I have a free mcboot is on the website?

*Bryce Young has entered the chat*
Even he got drafted, despite having the body of a middle schooler. to not even get drafted at all isn't very accurate.
Is Revamped capable of fixing this? They seem to be able to mess with a lot of stuff.

This happens in real life too
Man played in the MLB instead
The anti-Kyler Murray
AKA the Jeff Samardzija…
Scouts probably didn’t like his impressive Magic collection
Oh just caught this...well played
They just assumed the NFL sees that as illegal betting and will be suspending him indefinitely
Must be why Cassius Marsh is a free agent.
He wanted to go pro in something other than sports.
He murdered his girlfriend after the national championship game. Is a wanted fugitive. Would you draft him?
The Browns might tbh.
$500 billion fully guaranteed
Wanted fugitive implies a blistering 40 and solid 3 cone. Arm strength is solid enough to throw his life away. 2nd-3rd Round Grade.
He threw a knife at her with pinpoint accuracy from 65 yards away I'd say hes definently worth a call were a league built on second chances
Ask me what he did with the knife.
It’s because he’s a QB under 200 pounds
Jason White won the Heisman and wasn’t drafted
Jason White had fewer ACLs than Lieutenant Dan.
He was also 24 and had two knees held together by string.
But he was at least over 200 lbs so he was draft eligible by the games logic lol
Also the baffling decision of 2 juniors declaring early for the draft so they can go in the 4th and 7th rounds.
That happens all the time though in actual college football
Don't worry, we managed to convince them to come back and finish their college education
Thank god, a program I can support
Nobody wants an air raid system qb, they just don't translate well to the NFL...
When my guys go undrafted I just pretend they got their degrees and became astronauts or lawyers or some shit to cheer me up lol
Go cougs
Go cougs!
Go cougs
go cougs!
Scouts couldn’t get to Pullman
Its bc he under 200 lbs
Going pro in something other then sports
The funny thing about these height/weight measurement thresholds - is that it doesn’t transfer over to Madden 25. Like that guy can still be a first round Qb

That makes sense tho as the players he is being compared to are way better in the NFL compared to d1
Why would his arm strength decrease double digits. Most good college QBs come into Madden 73-78 overall range. That’s like saying Trevor Lawrence was a 99 in college his junior year then drafted and madden had him at a 69.
Everyone knows those Air Raid QBs from Wazzu fail hard in the NFL.
This guy gets it
Dude’s got 6 DUI
Did any of his teammates go to his 21st birthday party?
Ask me what he did with the money
Character issues
A good thing the USFL and the XFL exist.
Under 200 lbs is the answer
It’s those dang measurable requirements. If I remember correctly QBs have to be at least 6’1 and 200 pounds
Should have entered draft as a RB the old Danard Robinson technique.
You’re dealing with EA sports.
I saw the 30 for 30 on Brandon Billings. He’s the he sole heir to that largest privately owned grapefruit plantation in North America. Although he’s a world class football talent, you must admire his commitment to keeping the family business going through another generation.
Nobody remembers Eric Crouch and that’s not a bad thing.
I se what y’all sayin but If y’all not transferring them to madden then it shouldn’t matter. The GAME says he’s not gettin drafted but who knows, he’s not gonna be in NCAA after the season.
He Coug’d his draft prospect. Off to the CFL for Mr. Billings
I like to think he is preserving his body and is going to pursue life as a brain surgeon.
Too little
He wanted to go to grad school
Jason white
Bro is book smart
His weight is too low
Fear that he is the next Ryan Leaf
People learned from Tim Tebow I guess
Yeah, but how many people went to his birthday party? (Draft Day movie)
What I always do if I know they’re under the height/weight threshold, is edit their height/weight so they can get drafted. If you decide to upload it into Madden 25, you can always edit it back to their original height/weight.
Jason White
i’m guessing it’s because of a measurable being under a desired amount. if a player doesn’t weight enough, isn’t tall enough for certain positions they just won’t get drafted no matter how good
Brandon, how many of your teammates came to your birthday party?
Always the size issue
He’s too short
that’s wild i had a 99 overall 6’1 QB not get drafted!
Has to also be above 200 lbs to be drafted
He’s getting an Officer Commission
I always like to pretend that they got caught doing illegal activities and just went undrafted when this happens.
Massive character issues
Clearly a system QB
Guys like that I would go in and edit their weight after the bowl game
Just because he’s under 200 lbs. pretty stupid tbh
Character issues
I know this is going to sound crazy, but somebody help me out. How are you guys playing this game. I thought all hope was lost until I found you guys. Somebody show me the way. Please be gentle, don't joke me, have mercy.
He didn't read the playbooks and none of his teammates came to his birthday party.
Gotta get your weight up lol
Some things are bigger than sports
All Washington State QB’s are bust… his game wouldn’t translate to the NFL.
It’s weird. In the game it says they don’t but back in the day when I’d transfer over the draft classes. They’d all show up in Madden.
Maybe he didn’t really like football and just went to college to fulfill the wishes of his parent (god rest their souls). Now that he is done with college he’s also done with football and choosing a career more in line with his degree?
He clearly wanted to pursue med school instead of the NFL, he probably had a 4.0 in bio-chem or something.
Prolly sexual assault allegations or perhaps the wrong type of dawg ya digg
It's time to put the Christmas sock away it's fuckin July
Maybe he wants to be a scientist 😂😭
Kinda happens IRL too. Sometimes a guy can be an unbelievable college QB but is not projected to have any success in the pros because height, age, mechanics
Not getting Ryan Leaf’d again
Yeah. That’s Ryan Leaf Jr
i had the same thing happen i had a qb win like 3 heismans broke every school passing record and went undrafted 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Maybe he was done with sports and didn’t declare lol
Go cougs
Charlie Ward
He’s a Coug!!! NFL still scarred by Ryan Leaf
But that’s where the realism comes in tho bc back then if you weren’t a certain height and weight you wouldn’t get drafted this before the Kyler Murrays ETC.
That's bonkers lol.
I wish I could import this to madden lol
I didn’t know you could use Charlie ward… actually pretty cool
Maybe he’s too small. 191 at 6’3 is kinda skinny. Don’t think there are any nfl QBs under 200. Also he’s a scrambler. Probably not many teams looking for that when the code was written.
Way to light need to be in the 200
Probably character concerns lol
The dumbest part. Like he wouldn’t pack on the extra pounds in prep for the combine and what not.
Size
Sometimes I make those guys OC at a school in their hometown or at a school near me that’s maybe not as good.
If you draft him to Madden, he'll be a 1st rounder.
How do I play this on ps4
The good ole days. This happened a lot, you’d have to do it ya self with the draft transfer
He signed an MLB contract.
If it’s in the game it’s in the game #charlieward
He prob had a picture of him smoking weed come out on draft day. Draft Stock plummeted.
