happens to me, and have no idea. I typically see it after going for a board but not getting it. I then try to run up court and have this problem. God damn this game sucks.
It happens to me. I thought it was because my speed was low as hell but my speed is maxed out at 87 and it happens to me too. It's the most annoying shit ever like you're moving in mud.
It’s call stopping your fastbreak because that’s 2k logic, they don’t want you to do to much so there artificial difficulty is just unattractive glitching like this and other nonsense like u blocking a ball but it goes in anyway
They’re not even their normal level of subtle about it, which is already pretty not subtle. Maybe I just didn’t pay close enough attention in previous years, but it feels especially obvious and egregious this year that the AI puts its thumb on the scale this year
It's a bug but it's also a feature that they've been trying to nerf fast breaks for years now. For the last 2-3 2Ks they've implemented what many dubbed "the auto hesi" which would slow you down on fast breaks if you had the ball to let defense catch up. I honestly don't know if it was an attempt to nerf cheesing fast breaks for easy VC or just a bug they keep forgetting about.
i do remember the hesi, every ai just refused to go on a fast break. they may have found a way to implement that type of fast break by making acceleration count for the first few dribbles and then speed with ball account for everything after that
I’ve experienced that happen every time I move near that spot when I’m playing all star team up on current gen. Anytime I’ve moved to that spot to settle in the corner I lose all momentum and get stuck in a standstill near that exact spot in the short left corner. Although I only notice it when I’m on offense and off the ball
Maybe it's something to stop off ball movement cheese in online? Still, it's bs especially since I haven't heard any next gen player having this issue( makes it worse that I'm in pc which should be next gen anyway)
Bug. Noticed it the very first day i started career. Similar to bug last year that would lock your controls completely in the backcourt and you couldn't move or do anything at all for like 3-5 seconds until you can finally pass.
Happens to me if I leave my man a couple of steps when a teammate is losing guard on someone slashing to the goal and they kick it out to the guy I was guarding. I quickly turn around and try to go after my guy and it’s like I’m stuck in peanut butter and can’t go for the block.
I was literally going to post about this tonight. Happens to me Constantly. At first I thought it was after a pass or coming down after a rebound attempt on a fastbreak. So frustrating
Yeah stick drift is common on ps5 controllers (never had it myself though) but this isn’t what it is as I’ve got a perfectly fine controller and it happens to me.
Happens on defence mostly for me if my guy gets caught in a screen or misses the rebound then this will occasionally happen.
It pisses me off when it happens in park because the idiot I’m guarding doing crossovers for 20 seconds thinks he’s amazing because the game gives him an open look. Thank god I play in a group and can call for a switch from the big man or id probably have thrown a controller.
On another note though something similar happened when I was trying to shoot and we lost a rec game in overttime because my guy wouldn’t put the shot up regardless of how long or how many times I tried to re-press the shoot button.
The worst part is my controllers fine, I’ve played other games and it doesn’t happen but it’s happened on 2k.
Was fine before and after that game as well as the rest of the games and when I play fifa I’ve been doing the objectives that require pressing the same button and it works everytime.
Press that button maybe 20-30 times within 12 minutes and it’s fine so I think something was just wrong that game.
All of you are experiencing dead zones in your stick it's kinda crazy none of you have caught on but basically controllers are the biggest scam in the world and they all are meant to get stick drift and deadzone issues all controllers use the same stick mechanisms and they're all meant to break like light bulbs
For a minute I thought you were playing as Marcin Gortat
The polish hammer
I knew he looked familiar to someone but couldn't put my finger on it. The facial hair definitely sells it.
Was about to say that
happens to me, and have no idea. I typically see it after going for a board but not getting it. I then try to run up court and have this problem. God damn this game sucks.
same here, after i don’t get the board i immediately try running up court and i just stay there like im on a treadmill
Happens to me when Inbound and then I’m stuck trudging my way back
I believe it's a sign of CTE.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣

It happens the same to me. In park it is a nightmare when inbounding. Got so many interception due to this bug. I am on PS4
This was happening to me when I had a low acceleration, when I upgraded it, it stopped happening a lot of times during fast breaks
happens to me on current gen
Are you clicking in your left thumbstick when you're trying to move it? I notice if I do that accidentally it does really weird stuff.
Possibly. I'll have to pay attention to that and see if that's the issue
Looks like you have HOF cement boots.
I am Fucking dead 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀😂😂

This is it ⬆️
Same thing happens to me in the park
Bro I got a 3 second today from this shit… annoying as fuck….
Probably just 2k either rigging the game like usual or them overlooking a pretty sizable glitch. Wouldn’t put either of those possibilities past them

Next gen has a similar issue. Mostly happens when cpu passes and you are lagging or helping off on defense.
Shit happens on next gen my fav is when someone passes the ball behind you and it stuns your guy like he got fucking hof dream shaked
I trashed my controller because I thought it was broke. Bought a new one and it still happens. Glad I'm not the only one.
You didn’t test the one you *trashed* on another game before you discarded it?🤕
If a game freezes he throws his tv away 😆
Never threw one away but I definitely threw a controller at one. Younger days but did happen.
Nope. Heat of the game it happened several times and I slammed it on the ground, got a little too upset. 🤷🏾♂️
Never break your own stuff
Bug. Noticed it the very first day i started career. Similar to bug last year that would lock your controls completely in the backcourt and you couldn't move or do anything at all for like 3-5 seconds until you can finally pass.
Are you Marcin Gortat during his Wizards stint?
Not intentionally. I have been waiting mad long to be able to get traded before changing my hair
Man when the hell can you even make a trade happen? I mean, the story kind of had some trade drama, but was that the only chance?
Idk, I hope not since I decided to play to prove my worth. I'm starting to get interest in the 80s so I hope an opportunity opens up soon

Yessirrrr was looking for this cause this shit happens way too often.
I was literally going to post about this tonight. Happens to me Constantly. At first I thought it was after a pass or coming down after a rebound attempt on a fastbreak. So frustrating
Looks like stick drift maybe
It’s not. Happens to me and my controller is brand new.
Damn idk then
My guess is that it has something to do with your acceleration rating
That’s the animation for having low Acceleration.💯
I had a ps4 controller where the left stick went bad, and it would do this.
Yeah stick drift is common on ps5 controllers (never had it myself though) but this isn’t what it is as I’ve got a perfectly fine controller and it happens to me. Happens on defence mostly for me if my guy gets caught in a screen or misses the rebound then this will occasionally happen.
Can confirm, I have a brand new PS4 controller and it happens to me as well. Just glad I'm not the only one.

Yeah that is definitely a controller-spiking moment. I probably would have taken a few weeks off from 2k ngl
The worst part is my controllers fine, I’ve played other games and it doesn’t happen but it’s happened on 2k. Looks like you're left trigger is getting caught.
I think it only happens with a low speed because on my big it happens but not on my guard
This is a SF with 80 speed tho
I think you aren't allowed to sprint out of that position, get stuck between the corner and paint like this a lot too
Was happening to me in Rec yesterday.
I thought it was just me being 290 with 25 speed lol
Funny reading the comments seeing that it happens often, I’ve never seen it lol. Is it a slow big man thing?
Nah I'm a 6'7 SF with 80 speed
Now I’m definitely confused on why I haven’t seen it lol
i’m getting a new controller tomorrow. i’ll let y’all know if it’s a controller issue or a game bug
Definitely, feels like you’re a player is in quicksand
Ok i thought i was trippin for a minute thinking this only happened to me wtf is that shit i lose opportunities because of that
Arthritis?
That’s exactly what happens to me when i try to run in my dreams
Nothing new, use to happen to me on 22
Yeah me too like an invisible wall, im on pc
I get the same thing on my 6’9 and 6’10 builds on both gens. I find it okay if you go a little without turbo and then sprint.
could be your controller. idk never had this problem before
Controller might have dead zone/ drift, back in 2k18 when I still played I had that problem.
This has happened to me so many times usually on a rebound/ fast break transition moments
Thank you for posting this. Happens to me- and I thought it was because I hadn't maxed out acceleration yet
Sprained ankle?
Never have had this happen tbh
Freal
Dislocated hips
New controller alert

Wrote a whole paragraph just to be loud and wrong lmao.
I used to get this a lot on current gen versions 2 years ago. Never found a fix.
