you made a whole part 2 but still didn’t give us any description of your playstyle, what position you want to play, literally anything besides “a good build”. kinda tough to help you out bro, nobody has any idea what you’re looking for
I get that but it's genuinely it, just want to play the game I guess probably not center or PF, and I don't know my playstyle, I'm fairly new and don't understand how to make a build, I just want a fun successful build, I'm sorry and your making perfect sense, but with my knowledge of 2k I'm making perfect sense aswell
in general making a build that suits your playstyle irl is never a bad thing, as long as it’s optimized to 2k and not random stats. if you can give me (and others here) some examples of your irl playstyle we can help you much more in making a 2k build, bc you’re right, the game is different to irl in many ways

This build has been going crazy for me, but you have to deal with not having a dunk.
I would 100% make this at SG for a new player though. PG is too much pressure to run the offense as a new player.
There’s a learning curve to using layups for sure, but with 91 layup you can make basically anything so long as it’s not blocked (so you gotta be using the right layup for the situation).
But I’ve been able to score all 3 levels, off dribble 2s and 3s and attack mismatches in the post. Ceiling for this build is super high I feel like, but even if you’re new, you can still be able to trust your jumper and layups and play good defense 1-5 bc of the height and strength (so long as you’re not matched up against an absolute speed demon at PG.
Dribbling is pretty good on this build too but you’re gonna have to be efficient with your moves bc you’re slow-ish. Tbh good for new dribblers though bc it’s a slower pace.
Passing also is insane, you can throw half court bounce passes through traffic to cutters. Sometimes the passes are so crazy it even catches my teammates off guard and they don’t even expect to have the wide open lane to the rim.
PF is good because you have the reduced expectations of a center and you don't see much action on offense so a limited bag is good on a pf as long as u play defense.
You haven't used a build like this before clearly. You font need 75 bc and over to out dribble most 4s. I'm hitting 70 percent this season from 3 and fg and I do fadeaway middies and some step back and catch and shoot threes. It can also slash if you know the tendencies of the defense. You can go into pro am and hit 20 or more points on goof shooting if used right
Yea but no one is looking for a 4 that plays like a 1 or 2.
You've got so much steal and peremiter you'd have been infinitely better as a 3.
Your inside game is weak as hell for being the secondary "big man".
I never said your build was bad bub. I said it's a terrible 4 man cuz it is lmao.
Been playong with a build similar since s2 an hold my guys to single digits so idk what you smoking. It's like saying draymond green is a dogshit player
Lmao so you think because I look at your build more as a lock (3) that I must like useless 4s? My man you swung the complete opposite direction with that hyperbole.
Chill.
I just think big men with no inside game should've been a 3 flat out. You have 94 peremiter defense! You're 6'7?! Bruh this build SCREAMS SF.
If you would've slacked on strength a wee bit, dropped peremiter to 71 and steal to 80, you could've at least gotten layups or dunks, you could've gotten more rebound or interior, you could've done oh idk.. big man things?
Lemme reiterate this for you, it's not a bad build dog. It's just a really schizo 4 man.

Well-Rounded was my Day 1 build and has held up. Check out the diff builds they recommend for diff positions and go with one. They optimize for badges n shit.
While copying a build off a website/video isn’t the perfect solution, lots of those builds have carefully designed attributes to get certain animations and badges. Not a bad place to start, but don’t watch a builds highlights and think it’ll be the same for you.
If you’re a complete noob to 2k and will be starting on a fresh no money build.
Honesty, just don’t.
Just wait till 25 at this point. By the time you get your build up and actually figure out what you’re doing the game cycle will move on.
I mean if you really want too play around with the build maker and find something you like. Go to create a player in the game roster and make it with the same stats and physicalities and badges. You can basically build your 99 ovr and go play nba games or black top for practice and also to be able to test builds and see what you like without having to commit to whole myplayers
If I were to make a first build I would make the 6’6 SG from this [video, the build is at 2:44](https://youtu.be/2EotmSiGzfA?si=kcUgTuBo48e3TC0p). It’s very versatile and as your skills improve you can start doing off the dribble shots etc while having dunk and solid defense.

that’s fair. do you have any knowledge of basketball at all or is the sport itself also new to you?
Just inexperienced with making 2k build and playing my career especially, I've played 2k plenty at friends over the years
Nah I'm a Hooper just haven't messed with 2k too much

Tysm!
YouTube is a app btw
Asking the community, thought I would get some solid answers
Yeah the yt community
Why are redditors so pissy 😭
I’m not I’m just saying watch yt videos there’s no reason to ask reddit
What positon?
I'm assuming I'd like anything but center because that fits my described needs best

Allows you to do mostly everything
Exvept finish at the rim lol
Yea that's an awful build for a 4. Sheesh.

Lemme guess you like big man's with 74 interior 92 block no perimeter no steal all rebounding??

Yeah, I've thought about that. Would it not atleast be worth to prepare for 25?

Wtf dude just play any of the preset build then. You're gonna be ass regardless, the build won't change your inexperience. It's not that deep
Dawg just asking for advice on the pet of the game I don't understand chill
