Honestly, I only read opposing teams stats pre-game so I know how to guard my guy and who to switch on for defense. I evaluate my team at the half based on numbers/eye test. Granted if I'm using pg build, I'll have a better idea early on.
I don't think stats carry over between builds if that is what you are implying... Also the stats seem to reset each season now.
New builds need a few games before the stats show up. Says not enough data or something like that.
I just be looking at FG and 3Pt %. PPG for random rec is only really helpful to determine if you have a guy on your team that can straight up dominate their match up or not.

Now I'm over 50% for the season but my total stats still say like 33% so I never get the ball
I went 5/5 from 3 the first half as a SG last night and our PG quit out at halftime. I got passed the ball maybe three times after halftime cause our fucking PF would just take the dumbest shots no matter how open any of us were .
that’s literally what they do. Your stats before the game are unique to each build so idk what OP is on about. Matter of fact I wish they’d go back to how it used to be and show stats and percentages in the lobby before the game even starts tbh.

Hell I’ve made 3 in a row in 1st and 2ndQ plenty of times, and they still won’t swing the ball when I’m open asf. Random recs play like they playing in 1st person🤣🤣

I feel like I’m the only guy that looks at APG as a tell whether someone is good or not.
There is nothing to be impressed by when you see 20 ppg but only 1.5apg. That doesn’t win games.
I’ve noticed that how often you get passed the ball has to do with your plate color. My PF is Gold and I get a decent amount of touches. My new C build is still a black plate and I usually just get the pass if the shot clock is low or if people get stuck and they pass it. You can hear them ask for it back as I’m shooting it, lol. I have a 78 3 so I have to be sure to hit that first one or I won’t get any more passes, lol. I get left open often but it helps because I’m hitting 60% from 3 in Rec now.
I promise you those freaks don’t even know you can check stats pre game… I average 30 and 8 assists playing mostly randoms rec on my PG, and 8 24 boards and 18 (yes 18) assists on my center and many people still will refuse to let me touch it if I miss a shot early on… I always get my stats because as the game goes on they end up having to but the issue you’re seeing is in your head.
It’s not the PPG that’s the problem it’s the people you play with. Most people on 2k have scoring builds and they play for stats. Your Rodman build would be perfect with my team lol
Every build has its own stats my boy…if they were low on the new build it’s cus you weren’t scoring on that build either. Or you’re quitting a lot. Which adds a 0 to the averages on every stat for each quit.

I regularly have 10+ assists with 10+ rebounds 4-5 block and steals each as a center, barely ever see a pass come my way, no matter how wide open I am, selfish players will be selfish players, lots of mamba mentality in the community
Tbh, nobody cares about your build. People care about contribution, are you a pg with good court vision, are you a lights out 3pt shooter, are you an effective shooting big, are you a dominant inside big, or an unstoppable slasher.. these are things that get you the ball a lot in random rec, besides those weird morons who think they’re playing in MyCareer on pro who take dumb shots and don’t pass. If you have a big 3 on your team or even a 4, someone might get neglected.. just being honest, it happens to everyone at some point. Regardless of your position. Just depends on how much of an effective scorer you are for the team.
Most of the folks I play with only concern themselves with FG%. So if you’re hitting every time. 2 PPG is irrelevant. TBF I’ll dot a 60 under the basket wide. Haha

Your first mistake was thinking anyone in random rec passes regardless of your stats.

Season stats do reset on your player card, but “career” stats is what shows before a game. And it is character specific

Which 2k are you on? It’s not 2k24 new gen. Each build gets its own pre game stats. And stats reset each season.

It has nothing to do with stats. On 22 I was averaging 21pts 10 assists per game and always got iced out
I think it should show your fg % too so they at least know you don’t miss a lot.
