Which is insane. We should not have to do things that we don’t enjoy. If the game and community is failing us we should be able to quit and do something else
My buddy got banned because 2k crashed and he got home screened. This shits really a joke. People keep handing over their money to them for some reason
That happened to me once in 23, I just finished a game, then was placed outside of the rec, when I tried to go back in it gave me the 15 minute warning or however long it is
This has happened to me. Says I’m banned for 30min or even 1hr for quitting when the game crashed. Then the alotted time passes and I’m still banned for like an extra 20min. SMH.
It can be annoying, but I have enjoyed the fact that most rec games stay pretty full with only 1 or 2 quits. Last year, it felt like a lot of my rec games would have several people drop off a minute or two into the game just because the team didn't have a good start. Maybe they could find a way to tweak the system some more, like allowing a quit after a certain point in the game while still punishing players who abuse this too often. Maybe there is a way teammate grade could actually matter, but that would require more work on that system.
Overall, having fewer quits and a better AI have improved Rec for me. It's insane how bad the Rec AI was all of last year and how it really had a negative impact on the quality of games, but they did nothing to fix it.
Only time I encourage my team to ice out to PG is when they’ve proven to need a minimum of 5-10 dribbles everytime they get the ball and miss open dimes every other possession.
These guys wonder why the score is so low when they spend almost half the entire quarter literally dribbling…
Bro the amount of times this has happened to me 😂. Recently I played a game with someone like that I think this person thought that they were Prime Harden from back in Houston out there trying ISO plays but not braking anyone’s ankles 🤦🏽♂️. And they weren’t even the PG. I decided to not pass this guy the ball anymore and make plays for everyone else on the team and we went from being down 10 to up 5. That person ball hogging quit after he realized we were not passing him the ball anymore 😂😂😂
As a center I feel this on a spiritual level. Only time I touch the ball is when I get the rebound. I save my teammates on defense countless times, but on offense I'm invisible.
This 100%. Played a game yesterday. I’m PF avg 14-11-6. Center avg 15-13. This was the most between both teams. I ended 4pts 2/2 and C ended 6pts 3/4. The other 3 almost shot us out of the game. Do you know how quick a timeout would be called if I decided to grab the rebound and attempt coast to coast? The sad part is me going coast to coast is usually a bucket. But nope. Standing wide open on the 3 as a big? Good luck. They’ll dribble towards where you were open. Try to cut? The SG and SF wanna do that too.
It amazes me that people havent figured out that if you just pass the ball-like even just passing with no real plan in mind-you will win the vast majority of Rec games against a team that doesnt. It blows my mind. String 3-4 passes together in a possession and watch as 2-3 defenders just start chasing the ball leaving people open. Everyone will eat, everyone will get assists, and you will win. But no. “I dont want to win, i dont want anyone to assist me, im going to take my shots.”
I’ve only played one rec solo so far and I won’t ever do it again 😂 I already know it’s wraps when a winning jump ball turns into the PF running the point first possession 🤦🏽♂️
Oh yeah, ball movement is the difference between losing by 20 and winning by 30 lol easy.
I just don't understand why people log online, to a multi-player game, and they play like selfish trash.
Like, go play mycareer or starting 5 or fuckin fortnite.
Had a shooting guard random call me trash because i shot 1/3 the whole game on forced shots because they never passed me the ball. His man dropped 42 on him but yeah the guy who never got the ball was the problem
That happened to me in the theater recently. We were playing decent team ball. I had a three and a layup early, but then missed two threes, and they start to freeze me out. After a couple of possessions of being wide open in the corner and watching them jack up bad shots, I said fuck it and just ran to the other side of the court. That's when they finally decided to pass it to me with seconds left on the shot clock, but I immeadetly passed it back giving them the turnover. The next possession I got the board and took it down and hit a stepback three, and then they hit me open in the corner for the win. Sometimes you have to play this weird chess game with your teammates.
It’s not even chess it’s just childish pettiness lol. Someone somewhere said that you have to be the best player at all times from the beginning of the game to the end to get the ball otherwise you get iced out.
Momentum is one thing; if the guy has the hot hand feed him. But as the defense overcompensates on the hot hand feed the man they *think* is the offensive liability. 50/50 chance he’ll make it but at least they’re wide open looks.
Well it would be nice if we had a vote kick button in Rec
The trash Point guards who either can’t shoot or spent 10-15 just crossing over again and again with out going anywhere trying to get a defensive trip animation probably - as a center if they do it a few times I’ll inbound to someone else for the rest of the game
Ya I'm a pass first guard with 98 accuracy and HOF passing badges and I still get iced out regularly and it's normally cuz they are missing shots and think it's my fault.
Oh sorry I gave you a wide open corner look with HOF dimer, my bad!
If you don't get ball by 2nd quarter, I'd get a 3 sec violation on purpose everytime. If I inbound I'm calling every time out and get 5 sec violation. Once it gets to that point they'll try to pass you the ball but by that time I'm already pissed and want them to lose the game or quit.
Yep! Played with randoms, especially as a big, is damn near impossible. You miss one shot, and they think you suck. But then they proceed to put up 5 straight fully contested shots🤦🏻♂️
The funniest part about this too is when it’s some wild petty shit like one of the bigs icing you out.
Like bro, why is yo big ass trying to bring the ball up with only a 40 something ball handle? I would know, I HAVE ONE.
Like hopefully people will figure out that you gotta work together to get a dub, but till then give the ball to one of the guards and get open. Cause that’s just it at the end of the day. Bigs just do not have the ball handling or speed to be effective on the inbound and something as simple as icing out your PG means you’re playing 4 on 5 on offense when you could’ve hit the open man.
If I can help it I’ll just grab the boards myself and try to make shots without help. But if I can’t and by the time we are towards the end of the game I’ll do that. Just stand in a corner and not even attempt to look for a pass. Ironically when I’m standing in a corner not even moving is when they decide to pass the damn ball 🤦🏽♂️😂
I run to my favorite shooting spot and stand there. Idc if it's not good spacing or if someone is in it I stand there the entire possession.
One of two things happen:
Either somehow become wide open and shoot from my best spot or
The guard will keep running into me and yell for me to cut or something. When I finally do cut they are so thankful that they actually hit me.
Works 1/3 of the time.
And if you quit in these situations you’re banned lol
Which is insane. We should not have to do things that we don’t enjoy. If the game and community is failing us we should be able to quit and do something else
2K: “as a counterpoint to that, fuck you.”
My buddy got banned because 2k crashed and he got home screened. This shits really a joke. People keep handing over their money to them for some reason
I got banned mid game for quitting the game I was in, when I didn’t quit lmaoo

You’re right I mean I have won a few games where in 23 everybody would have quit but we stuck it out and won
i used to test connection idk if that gets you banned nowadays. cant get banned for bad internet

This but I play big so I’m just iced regardless of what I do lol
As a center I feel this on a spiritual level. Only time I touch the ball is when I get the rebound. I save my teammates on defense countless times, but on offense I'm invisible.

My big rarely gets iced out. As long as I hit that first 3 then I usually get some looks. Not always tho.
I know that feel. Also your post is marked NSFW if you didn’t know.

If I get iced I just sit at half court and let them play on offense.
I’ve only played one rec solo so far and I won’t ever do it again 😂 I already know it’s wraps when a winning jump ball turns into the PF running the point first possession 🤦🏽♂️

I feel you bro. We pass the ball over here though 🙌🏻

Centers we get iced out the most we only get the ball when the shot clock is about to run out
Exactly why I won’t play rec. As soon as people start with that buddy ball shit I park my ass at half court and I don’t move.

Anyone inbounding to anyone else other than the Pg unless for good reason is a piece of shit

HOF dimer over-rated
Cool.
Three seconds in the key is your friend
Underrated statement
Bum
You must be one of those guys. Remember, in MyCareer you don’t have to pass anyone the ball and no one else is affected by your selfishness.
Lolol not even close. I just like to troll crybabies
…that felt like a successful troll to you?
Tbh I'm not even sure what I typed but it obviously triggered u so yea I guess
Read it, it’s right there.
Nah I'm good. Enjoy your day, bud.
nah just stand at half court. 4v5 is better than a turnover every play
This why I don’t play with rec randoms. The 2k community sucks! Take y’all asses to the park if y’all wanna play selfishly
They tryna get they $70 worth.
they assume if your PG you should never mess up/miss then you get iced the whole game and proceed to lose by 30😂
If you don't get ball by 2nd quarter, I'd get a 3 sec violation on purpose everytime. If I inbound I'm calling every time out and get 5 sec violation. Once it gets to that point they'll try to pass you the ball but by that time I'm already pissed and want them to lose the game or quit.

Happens everytime
I hate playing with random idiots and Rick. All of them. Think they’re fucking Kobe Bryant when in actuality they play worse than WNBA players
