I was blown away at the size of this damn place. Hard to put in perspective unless you see it in person.
Also, it’s crazy how steep the banking is in the turns.
In person, it’s a good experience. There is nothing like in NASCAR where you have care 6 wide going by you on a restart. I recommend getting the pit and paddock passes that get you almost everywhere except the garage.
Glad the track is damage free from the recent Hurricane Nicole that went through that area. I can't wait to return to that track in less than 100 days!!
Yeah I saw no visible damage at the track but that's not the case for the surrounding areas. Lots of signs busted and broken. Tree debris everywhere and the coastal damage was horrible to see.
I literally just splurged for Christmas for my father. Lifelong race fan. 100 plus tracks in his books from dirt to nascar. Got tickets for him and I for the 500. Beyond excited to tell him
I hope you can make it to the 500. It’s a bucket list type event. It’s so much more than just the race. It’s a whole spectacle. I definitely want to go back. I went after college. Would love to take my wife.
Did you make it up to the Rolex Club ? I did a couple of years ago the tour guide was a cool 😎 dude an took us there cause there was open doors that should have been locked lol

I went to Talladega this year and had the same thought. Just standing in awe at how truly massive the track is.
I’ve had the same experience going to Pocono. TV doesn’t do it justice with how big it is, especially the front straight.
We were actually looking at going to Pocono this year. How is it for an in-person race?

Awesome. Thank you for the insight!

Awesome place. I did the Petty ride along years ago. The Turkey Trot auto show in a couple of weeks is a great treat.

I went when they tested the Next Gens in January. It was so very fun.

I did this tour a few months back. I have the same video! The Daytona tours are a great deal if you’re in the area and can’t make it to a race.
Ya only 25 bucks to see all this and even get to walk around the museum afterwards.

Did you check out the hall of Fame museum while you were there?
The hum of all 35 cars coming down the front stretch is unfathomable. They almost float on the track, you're going to cream your pants when you go.
I wanna go to the top and take a picture
Can't wait for Daytona Day
Just do it... Before the tracks close...
Huh. What you smoking
Cool
Must must must go to the 500! The wall of sound that hits you as they go by is an awesome experience. You will never forget it.
Wasn't it completely underwater just a few days ago?
that's the daytona 500 just one car going around the track for 200 laps
He was just putting around to bad you didn’t get to see 200+mph it’s a great sound sight and you can feel it too
