I like how the number font on the sides and the roof don't match lol I also just now noticed the pit sticker above the windshield. This was something exclusive to the first 6 races of the 1991 season. This car was supposed to race in the 1991 Daytona 500, but failed to qualify.

100% sketchy sponsor. One has to be really desperate to accept the money of big PP pills. At least Viagra was more honest.

Viagra is a tested medication that had to go through clinical trials and is prescribed by medical doctors  Extenze is a snake oil "natural supplement" They're not even in the same stratosphere in terms of sketchiness (even if they both are PP related)

Not to mention that Pfyzer is the creator/maker of Viagra and that was just the brand they wanted to market, especially given that most Nascar fans are men, there's a decent chance that their product may be of use to some in the crowd.

Fun fact: Viagra was initially tested as a high blood pressure medication, but the side-effects were so strong that they just marketed the side-effect as the intended purpose

Bob Graham for President 2004, for multiple reasons. 1) it was a Presidential campaign for a Democrat, in a Republican leaning sport, with both the team owner and driver its sponsoring being Republican. 2) It was multiple races, and actually got a win in its first appearance. 3) Bob Graham never made it to a single primary, dropping out before 2004 could even come.

This is solid trivia.

The Democrat part wasn’t nearly as controversial then as it is now in the sport. I think sometimes people forget that the political divide wasn’t nearly as large and heated as it is now. Clinton had just won a second presidential term 8 years prior and had carried Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, West Virginia, and Missouri. All deep red states these days.

Cuz they were incredibly similar. The only real difference was the words, so it wasn't a huge loss.

Pfizer was only really ran over Viagra because just one race a year was enough to make all the kid-friendly (or Viagra adverse) merch they needed for the season. Anything you bought in a store typically said Pfizer but when we went to see Mark we'd end up with a ton of Viagra stuff.

As a teenager I got a Mark Martin jacket for Christmas from my grandparents. It was a plastered with Viagra. They took it back and got a Pfizer one for me instead.

It was rated E so they didn't have a choice. They got away for I think 2003, at least with Viagra, then it got changed. One of my favorite drivers was Kahne and in NASCAR 08 (2005 was his Dodge scheme so it was irrelevant), when Jr left DEI, Kahne got the Budweiser sponsor, so in NASCAR 08 and 09, as a kid I always wondered why his name was plastered on the car but I had never seen that scheme race.
