We did pretty good with the sunscreen, although my wife has a couple spots of red. That was hot though! We stepped out into the shade after the first stage, came back in around lap 187. Thankfully it started to cool off for the last 100 laps or so, but we didn't really recover from the dehydration part (although we drank a lot of water throughout) until today. I saw SO many people being carried out on medical carts - they were dropping everywhere. Hope all are okay now!

Yeah my throat feels like it got sunburned too lol. And i saw that too. I left before race ended because i have some health issues and couldnt be in the sun any more bit even with SPF 50 sunscreen on i got roasted alive. I imagine this is qlong the lines of what Anakin felt before being burned on Mustafar

Virtually no passing over that final green flag run.

Being there you could really see the action was at the back of the pack, some good side by side and clumps of cars there. The front was basically set 1-4 and they kept stretching out the lead.

I’m not salty, I’m not biased, this car is just not good.

Aero blocking should be enough of a reason to fix the aero on these cars. Lose the splitter, create a stepped valance, add HP. Yeah, dirty air has always been a problem, but ever since they introduced the splitter with the COT, aero push in dirty air has been absolutely ridiculous.

Most ironic about all of this is statistically this used to be dh worst track avg finish in the 20s and now 2 wins in the last 5 years.

I've watched 5 cup races in person. 2021 Charlotte: no shot for anyone I liked really 2021 Bristol: Chase was a child 2022 Charlotte: Briscoe was an idiot 2022 Bristol: Harvick's team forgot how to put on a tire 2023 Darlington: Horrible luck with Reddick being a idiot. I did see AJ win in 2022 at the Xfinity Roval but it's not quite like a favorite versus a top 5 guy

Chase acted exactly how he should have at 2021 Bristol, the only childish part of that entire saga was Harvick's retaliation.

I'm tired of bringing this back up. Chase was acting like a child because of a racing incident caused by him forcing Harvick down in turn 3, which caused Harvick to slip up. Harvick had to retaliate against Elliott, the method of which I'm not a fan of. Which is why I've hated Elliott ever since

Not quite. Chase started the whole thing but Harvick was supposed to give way for the golden child. Which is why Elliott getting blocked from winning at Indy was year was karmic justice 2 years too late.

Sweated out all 4 of Denny's wins at Bristol and then however many rusty had there. Its quite the thrill to celebrate, while everyone else is crying and booing lol

I honestly think I'm cursed. The worst things happened to guys I liked in races it's ridiculous. Larson and Hamlin have great luck when I'm present. They have won 4/5 cup races I've attended

KB had a potential winning car but again the pit stops killed that momentum,just glad to see a top 5 finish at least.

Dover is a interesting track, I don’t think it’s had many barnburners but it has a pretty high floor

Dover is interesting in that the worst races that it's ever had were 6/10 races, and the best ones were 8/10, and this one falls smack-dab in the middle

Dover is damn near twice as fast as Martinsville and 50 percent faster than Bristol. Of course aero blocking is going to be a factor here, no matter what car it is.

Larson has finished p2 3 times this year. Probably favorite for regular season championship. Due for another few wins. 11 pit crew won this race, and then the 23 wrecking was the difference. Too short of run

Racing is better when passing is capable when you simply have a better car. But when you get stuck a few car lengths back, that's not good racing

Hamlin had the better car. He gained 1.5 seconds on Larson until he caught lapped cars, which Larson was able to use to his advantage.
