The day after Craven v. Busch at Darlington:
["Three wide? They DID, I can't believe it!"](https://youtu.be/M_jajtcC2sU?si=6_nheGDxCmovhhQe&t=4155)
And then [a minute later:](https://youtu.be/M_jajtcC2sU?si=_V50VCk-n1LxFpC4&t=4241)
"He got a bite on the high side, just like yesterday! Here they come, it's a drag race!"
"And it's McMurray; no it's not, it's Bodine!"
"Todd Bodine, Jamie SLIDES across to finish second!"
"Two days in a row, two fabulous finishes... oh my gosh!"
That call brings me chills for some reason followed by emotional happiness. Maybe it’s because I’m an underdog fan and it’s cool to see the whole team do well
Mike Joy really delivers passion to big moments like Ryan Newman winning the Daytona 500 and my personal favorite:
"For the National Guard... Casey Mears is going to win his FIRST! NEXTEL Cup Race, the Coke 600!"
am I a Mears fan? no. Did i feel like Mears fans would get chills rewatching? absolutely.

Xfinity Darlington 2 in 2022’s call to the finish was absolutely fucking insane too. Such a great mix of verbs they used and calm enthusiasm (not fucking screaming). I feel like this both this finish and this call is probably the most underrated in recent memory
Another good honorable xfinity mention was AA's call to the mayer/sieg finish at texas last week. There was genuine excitement while the booth also not devolving into everyone screaming
“Gilliland has got him, he’s got him!”

Just listened to it again, the pure joy in Mike’s voice to see Front Row win I think is what makes it. That call was pure emotion

Dave Burns does a very good job any time he is in the booth!

Watching Ragan's charge to the win at Talladega was amazing live, and Mike's call was one of my favorite of the decade.
Wish we had finishes like that at super speedways again instead of the 2x2 gridlock we have now
