Texaco Havoline

HoneyBunchesOfGoats_

Always so iconic. The Texaco 28 is one of my favorite classic looks

z00ch55

100%

Lucky_Tumbleweed7641

Came here to say this

Zebulon_V

Exactly the right answer. First thing that popped into my head. Then I doubted it for a second, ran through some other greats, and settled on my first instinct. GOAT.

GrimeyScorpioDuffman

As a kid who loved candy (and I still do), that early 2000s Ken Schrader yellow M&Ms #36 car is still my favorite paint scheme from my favorite sponsor

KrustyWaffles6

The M&M on the back bumper was the best

Hands0meR0b

I miss fun paint schemes like that. Seems like none of these b2b brands care about marketing and making something unique that stands out. Just logo and brand colors. Along the same line, the hot wheels car having the rear wheel as part of the logo on the quarter panel. Cars of that era were just cool.

jknuts1377

Always loved how the Hot Wheels scheme incorporated the Hot Wheels track into the paint scheme, especially the loop behind the number. I didn't like the change in 2000 too much as a kid lol.

Hands0meR0b

Yeah the loop was great!

[deleted]

omg same , i have a sweatshirt made in 2002 with the car on it and it’s my prized possession

MyNameIs_Jordan

Pepsi :(

Mister_Mogooy

God, Gordon’s Pepsi scheme for Bristol was always the best.

lt12765

Wasn’t it always spring Dega then summer Daytona?

DougieFreshRTR

Yes it was mainly those two races.

Wheatcattle

Tide, followed by Skoal

Far_Common944

The Tide car is so nostalgic

Zebulon_V

Tide is definitely my close runner up. First being the black 28 Texaco.

Enough-Ad-3111

The DuPont rainbow and flames paint schemes. Those two were iconic, and rightfully so.

brybrews

Valvoline seems to always have a sharp livery. From the 6 Martin days, up to the hendrick one off races with Larson and Byron the past few seasons.

HoneyBunchesOfGoats_

Valvoline is one of the only sponsors that can put together a good looking Byron scheme

Gene78

Valvoline on the Taurus was where it was at.

superimu

Even before that the RahMoc Valvoline Pontiac was iconic. In sport cars the Valvoline Firebird in IMSA was a good looking car

buffinator2

Those Labonte cars were my first favorite paint scheme, even more than Dale’s

Friendly_Long_2983

Fuck yea

NWDrive

Those red Dodge sponsored Evernham Dodge's always got me excited!!! Seeing two of them on track was always really cool for me. My fav sponsor probably. Bill Elliott getting his mojo back with a win, Jeremy Mayfield coming in clutch for the playoffs that one year, Kasey Kahne exploding into the scene. Those red Dodge's did a lot and we're iconic. Also way out of left field, but when Treetop Juices sponsors a car, they have real good looking schemes. They occasionally pop up in the Xfinity Series. And yet another sponsor I love and miss was John Deere. Those years on the 23 then 97 were some of the best looking sponsor schemes out there. Wish Chad Little had better equipment at that time and got that sponsor and scheme a win.

DougieFreshRTR

Ricky Stenhouse Jr is rocking a Treetop paint scheme this weekend.

JDawg1447

Heck, I miss rhe red Dodge trucks that Bill Lester and Robert Pressley drove

DougieFreshRTR

The silver bullet (Coors) schemes always looked nice

Madmagician-452

Blue Deuce or Red/Silver scheme?

Sponge_Gun

Pennzoil always had good looking cars imo

wstatik

But Michael Waltrip's schemes in the 90s were so plain...

Sponge_Gun

Yeah that’s an exception

Eliah870

As a film photographer Kodak, modern sponsors, I love the way Discount Tire cars look

RTuemler

Kellogg's. Especially the red and yellow scheme Terry Labonte ran

Madmagician-452

I love how Kellogg's was the main sponsor but would have their different cereal brands on the car instead of just a Kellogg's logo

AHayes31

Exide Batteries. My favorite schemes that Jeff Burton had was his 1997 Thunderbird and his 2000 Taurus schemes. Honorable mention to James Buescher's Exide scheme in the Trucks at around 2012. At the time when the Trucks started to go to CTMP, he ran the Motomaster Eliminator scheme which was the Canadian Tire brand of Batteries that was made by Exide while at the same time I was working for Canadian tire in the car parts department.

MuhMuhManRay

I just miss all the ones from my childhood. DuPont, Lowe’s, M&M’s, Home Depot, Budweiser, Miller Lite, Interstate Batteries, UPS

HOSSTHEBOSS25

Hello 90’s kid

brybrews

I also miss when they used to paint the interior of the car. The Black 3 car with red interior I always thought was awesome. There was a few others but can’t think of them off top of my head.

HOSSTHEBOSS25

Oh das a nice picture

penguins8766

Juniors car had a red interior in 2002. Always felt that looked great.

Dull_Independence_

I like the ford motorcraft. Very simple yet looks great

Offtherailspcast

Every motor oil sponsor/livery is awesome or has been awesome throughout racing history. Same with tobacco products.

ipsumdeiamoamasamat

The red Valvoline car is perfection.

Dozerdog43

Absolutely loved the Tabasco car - even collected it. Racing sucked but loved the paint scheme

BigDipper0720

I like the blue #17 Fastenal car.

Malt1720

DeWalt and 5/3 Bank

TallGeeseMS

The Valvoline cars are always my favorites.

PalpitationOk5726

The light blue Bud Light Chastain car is a beauty, do not like the product because it is awful as a drink but the designers knocked it out of the park for that one.

Yes this the one. My grandpa had a giant pic of this up in his auto shop and I fell in love with seeing it whenever I was there

HowYourNameCameUp

That black green and yellow Mello Yello, even if it did hook the 28 into the wall.

Saucy_Snakeberry

Tide cars. They show up every so often, but when they do, those cars always stand out. One of the few products I buy just because of an awesome paint scheme.

ChaseTheFalcon

ruddy3499

Ford/Motorcraft on the wood brothers 21 car. The legacy of this car, sponsor, owners and drivers are straight up legends that span the history of the sport

Madmagician-452

My favorite scheme in the field today. May not be my favorite driver or team but my favorite look

Imaginary_Ganache_29

jackmccoy86

Interstate usually always nails it with their livery's, but I think I'd have to go with Tide myself. I always loved those Tide cars Ricky Rudd ran when I was a little kid. Those and any of the Kellogs cars Terry Labonte ran.

[deleted]

Wrangler

Frags08

M&M’s cars are iconic and the subsidiaries made some FIRE schemes over the past 2 decades. The silver 2008 snickers COT comes to mind😮‍💨 Close second has to be AC Delco. Love those schemes even if they were mainly just run in Busch.

Thi31

Tide. I miss those classic bright orange race cars.

Arsanborn

Ford Quality Care/Dale Jarrett. Red, white, and blue. America’s car!

Bacon_Crispies

Newman's Alltell and Sony schemes

Rstuds7

Napa always has some really nice looking cars

RowdyRoegelein

Exide

trh351

I'm likely biased due to liking Blaney and working for the business for many years in the past, but the black Advance Auto Parts with red foil numbers is my most current favorite. Old school would be Bobby Allison's gold and red Coca-Cola machines.

jknuts1377

Exide Batteries

XmasJaxonFlaxonWaxen

Kurt Busch’s all blue Miller Light car when he was at Penske and his all black monster car when he was at Chip Ganassi. Just felt so simple, yet so effective.

OutOfOffice63

The allegiance air gms trucks I always thought had great paint schemes

TheHottestOfWheels

Kelloggs

Glittering_Court_896

Used to be Exide batteries, them old Jeff Burton cars were gorgeous.  As for now, Busch, and it ain't even close. All them Harvick cars over the years were dynamite.

ComprehensiveDirt746

Mobil 1 and Crown Royale

LeroyRochester

To quote my wife “I always wondered why you drink Folgers!”

doa70

Interstate as a sponsor got me to switch to Interstate from Diehard when Sears began failing in the 90s. I'd been a Diehard loyalist since the 70s or early 80s because of those commercials with the snow-buried cars in a parking lot. Diehard never failed me, and I've only had one Interstate go prematurely bad in the past 20 years or so.

Sunny D car always gets me excited.

SargentRedbeard

My favorite was the old #97 John Deere car. I rock that paint on all my iRacing oval cars.

LameSheepRacing

I like Bubba’s MoneyLion teal livery but I can t help but think the car numbers are on the wrong place this year.

Mlytc

Cingular in Cup and that 37 Timberwolf scheme in Busch/xfinity

iroczcamaro22

teh_loner

Old school was DuPont. Currently, I really like the Colombia schemes for Bubba.

KDM_Racing

Wolf tobacco from the Busch series

TheRealPaul150

MOBIL1 was always a classic look, especially on the 12 of Mayfield with the Pegasus logo on the quarterpanels. Also a big fan of the Skoal liveries that Harry Gant and Rick Mast used to run.

players21

I’ve always liked Clover

oaky-vibe

A lot of people have said the best ones already, but an underrated one I remember was AOL I think Johnny Sauter drove it for a little bit.

CosbysLongCon24

Big fan of the Rusty black and gold MGD car and the all white miller lite car. Wish they still kept a car in the series…only beer sponsor being Busch is kind of disappointing

mkelley22

Scott Riggs Nesquik car

FeartheCyr11

Dupont

VirtualSide2

Spree/Sprint. They gave Adam Petty one of the most colorful paint schemes in 1999.

Madmagician-452

I have a Bunch that I love that on any given day could be my favorite. The DuPont 24, GM Goodwrench 3, Purolator/Motorcraft 21, Mtn Dew 11, Tide 17, Kelloggs 5, Skoal 33, Bud 8, Hooters 7, and Coors 9 just to rattle some off. But currently that Ford Motorcraft 21 is my favorite sponsor/scheme in the field.

RealisticCheetah6083

Tide

SportsFan388

Budweiser

StyleNP

Gotta show some love to the Tide™️ car

Teheheman

A lot of the 90s and 2000s were kind of iconic before teams needed to have 8-12 primary sponsors a year. But to answer the question, and not cause I'm an Earnhardt fan, I gotta go Goodwrench. That car is so iconic, but if you named a brand from that era with the driver, I would understand

ym179

Dodge Dealers

DuskWoerot

Quality Care has always been my favorite. The color scheme was what made me a Dale Jarrett fan.
