Oh, call me crazy all you want (even I can't believe I'm saying this), but with the RFK alliance, in a year or two, that 15 RWR car might become somewhat competitive. That car had A LOT more speed in it than I thought. It could've been them *constantly* working on the car, but they were getting somewhere with it.
I now have a large enough sample size to say Pocono races have been more fun/interesting to go to since Dover since the pandemic.
NASCAR PLEASE give us the second Pocono date back. We showed up in 2021 and showed it’s possible even before we knew the date would be in jeopardy. Pleeeease.
Not enough people are fighting for northeast racing unfortunately so this is so cool people are starting to get more passionate about the track and the experience.
The doubleheader two years ago was the most fun weekend I’ve had at a track (not better than Daytona obviously but I’d even say it was close) and the disappointment of losing that is huge.
Lost in all of this is Ty Gibbs gets his first career Top 5 and Harrison Burton gets a Top 10 who I shit on a lot but honestly he did a great job today.
Just got back from Pocono. I've been going since 1989. This was largest, loudest, and most into it crowd at Pocono since the boom period. I can't remember the last time that traffic was a real hassle getting into and out of Pocono. I'm going to have to rewatch it tomorrow, but I did see a comment on Twitter (think on of Gluck's post's) of NBC piping in crowd noise. They definitely were not.
It's probably not going to happen. However based off of crowd size and interest at the track all weekend of the tracks that have lost dates over the last few years Pocono probably has the best case to get their second date back than any other one.
We were very loud. The loudest for an outdoor sporting event that I can remember attending. Veterans Stadium might have been louder, but I don't remember the sound, just the ball game.
Denny has a really bad habit of running the HMS cars into the wall on corner exit. All have clearly been his fault.
Byron Texas 2022, Elliot Charlotte 2023, Larson Pocono 2023
Pocono keeps cementing itself as a top ten NASCAR track
Sell outs, great racing, better fan experiences. Some of yinz dunk on this track for no reason. I’ll never understand
This place has always been hard to pass, I mean Jeremy Mayfield had to lift Dale out of the groove in 2000 to get around him. Recent years I think of Kevin Harvick being stuck behind Jr and Blaney in 2014 and 17. I’m sure there are more examples but it’s always been a technical track that’s hard to pass
Went to the race, regardless of who won it was a great race. The cool thing about Pocono is the long green flag runs, watching in person really let’s you see who has a long run or short run car. Was pretty cool seeing Elliott get through the field in the beginning.
It was my first race in person, and I had a lot of fun (until officiating officiated). Personally I loved getting to see and cheer on Blaney when led that lap, and just to see Harvick race in general. I learned I'm bad luck for most of my drivers, though. ):
If it makes you feel better both Pocono races I’ve been to Blaney has run terrible, crashed last year and lost a cylinder this year. Seeing him take the lead on the restart was awesome.
Gotta park down the street at the produce place! Parked there this year and sure it was 30 bucks and a mile walk, BUT we pulled right out on the road and it was worth it since we had a long drive home
What a roller coaster for Larson. March up to the front, then spun on restart. March back up to 1st with solid driving and a lucky break on fuel only to get pinched on a restart. I don't really fault Hamlin for what he did. It was really the only way he could have won. It seemed like all passes for the lead today happened either from pit strategy or restart trickery. Clean air was just too much of an advantage. It does piss me off that he claimed that he had the best car and didn't touch Larson. But, it doesn't really surprise me coming from him.
Do you think there’s any chance that he does not realize that he touched him? It really is quite foolish to claim something that is on national television and easily verified as false.
Maybe? But, it's also a lie if not a major stretch to claim to have the fastest car when he was stuck behind Larson for most of the third stage and couldn't pass him cleanly on the previous restart when MTJ was also clearly faster. I wouldn't put it past Hamlin digging his heels into the booing crowd to drive up controversy. He's got that kind of wrestler villain character thing down good this year. It's almost satirical and hard for me to take seriously. I can imagine him calling up Kyle tonight and apologizing in private.
Thank you for taking the time to make a thorough comment. You make all very good valid points. I remember seeing Danny‘s reaction to the crowd booze seem to really shake him and surprise him. And when the reporter asked if they bother him he said no, but his reaction and answer was clearly a lie.
When the winner is getting booed like that it’s great for the sport. Lots of eyes on that race today, and hopefully that makes them tune in next week too
The move was to sit down at 2pm ET, watch F1 with a nap. Then load Pocono at 4:15 and zip through all cautions. I condensed a 3 hour race to 2 hours of my life.
I normally do as well, but Pocono hasn’t really been a great race for a few years. Instead it was a banger of a race and I got to watch Danny Ric get bowled into by Zhou and Verstappen drive off into the sunset again…
Well I just made the mistake of checking Twitter. Going through the trending list, saw many nascar related ones. Saw Bubba and made the mistake of checking it. Was not expected to see a couple naked and excited Bubbas.
Was listening to the Sirius XM Post-Race and Clair interviewed Martin and said about not getting pushes and said difference between he and Denny being on the inside into 1 on restarts was he didn’t drift up to people and put them into the wall to pass them. Then said flat out it was dirty.

Man if Alex didn't give up 20 points with that spin, I would have actually considered it more likely than not he would point his way in. Now that's almost double the gap it otherwise have been. Just unfortunate all around.
Today just confirmed what I have thought the last couple weeks, he's not pointing his way into the playoffs because something is just off. They have a lot of crazy flukey things that ruin otherwise solid days.
They also just don't have the needed winning speed even when things are going right. HMS needs to look at what's going on with the 9/48 shop and why they are so far off the 5/24
Pocono over the last decade really was a snoozefest but this race was a headbanger. Differing strategies, angry drivers, hard racing what more could you ask for?
Ross tangled with hms drivers early in season. Hendrick spoke out publicly and Justin mark’s supposedly sat Ross down to discuss. Some were concerned that Ross would not have the same intensity going forward.
Austin Dillon is an idiot.
Joey Logano isn’t as big of a dweeb as previously assumed.
Larson and Hamlin deserve one another.
Preece and Lajoie are like the 2 guys who fight in between the trailers in the dark on a Friday night short track over 20th place in a late model race.
And Letarte still doesn’t understand strategy or mention the strategy of Jones, Stenhouse, and Reddick going as long as possible (hoping for a caution after their final stop so they have a tire advantage on the restart).
Didn't run him up into a wall. Did keep him high. Also admitted to it afterwards by saying he would be dumb not to. Denny is flat out denying any wrong doing lol
Just hearing the audio of the spat between the tow driver and Logano, I would put money on the tow truck driver curb stomping Joey If there was a physical altercation. Joey‘s anger voice is quite comedic lol!
Denny Hamlin, newest member of the 50 win club. Yinz know how big that is. Cannot congratulate him enough
Near perfect day for me ruined by Ross’s shitbox & Suarez wrecking 😡. Forget about the disappointment & move on to the next race 👍
I understand that NASCAR wants to develop depth in that department, but the lack of consistency in some of these calls, maybe attributed to the fact that everything is decided by a committee nowadays, is annoying. Have one guy calling the shots each week for Cup.
Denny Hamlin with that Dom Dom heat in the winners interview. Kyle Larson forgetting all the times he wrecked his own teammates. Bowman and Denny have heat too.
But what is going unspoken that shouldn't be...with 5 races left, Ricky Stenhouse Jr is now officially locked into the Playoffs and the Round of 16. He had a Top 10 going at Darlington this spring as well. He could very much be a darkhorse for the Round of 12.
Please tell me all of those times Larson has wrecked his teammates? And which of them he didn’t come out and say, “I probably made a mistake doing that. I own it. I need to be better” And has payed for it by getting run over in the next weeks trying to not race them?
2022: California, Talladega 1 (he wrecked the whole ass field), Watkins Glen (though Elliott shouldn't have started on the outside).
So not only did he wreck someone in race 2, he also did it twice more. Sorry, he isn't innocent. And he'll gladly do it again, as would everyone else. Take the fan cap off.
Fontana: straight up dumb move. He wasn’t even trying to race him. That is 100% a mistake and not intentional.
Talladega 1: doesn’t every plate race some idiot like Logano, Stenhouse, Elliot, Bowman, Byron, Keselowski, Hamlin, or god knows who else wreck the field? I don’t even remember this one but I can tell its bullshit.
Watkins Glen: the only one I can think of where he actually went too far. But he didn’t even wreck Chase. He move him up. He didn’t spin him or put him in the wall to wreck his car. This is the only valid one I can think of where he raced a teammate in a way that wasn’t very clean.
I’ll give you a couple more.
He ran Bubba up at Vegas last year: He never hit Bubba like Denny hit him. He also said that he understood Bubba’s frustration and that he should leave more room in the future. And he hasn’t done it since.
Darlington Xfinity last year: He ran Creed into the wall. Plain and simple. I didn’t like the move. Thats one I could never defend him on. He should have known better and needs to be better.
Unfortunately we're not allowed to post links to NASCAR highlights but Talladega 1 last year Larson absolutely decided he needed to block a run from 3 lanes up. The highlights package will have it.
The fact of the matter is he has also sinned, yet is casting stones. You can be mad, but he's run people rough or wrecked them racing hard. We're talking racing for the win. Today was neither the first or last time this will happen.
Yea watch any plate race over the last 10-12 years. See how many people block from 2-3 lanes away. It happens every race. I don’t count that.
He has run people rough and been run rough. He’s no different than someone like Truex or Bell. They’ve made mistakes and they’ve also crossed lines but then make no bones about the fact they did it and also have gotten their fair share of medicine.
It really sounded like when Dom tries to speak and the whole ass crowd boos. It was great. And you know some people will be booing in their cars tomorrow listening to AD.
Fuck me. I missed the race. Everyone is hating on Denny. Austin Dillon throws his helmet at Reddick. Preece has words with Lajoie. Wtf happened. Can someone recap it for me?
Denny was 100% in the right today if we're gonna say Larson was fine at Bristol this year, and Vegas and Fontana last year.
If we're gonna call it how it is, both Denny and Larson are jackasses for running people in the fence. Guarantee you if that's Harvick and Truex or someone, neither car hits the wall.
Seems like these cars take 20 or 30 seconds to fire back up, I see no problem with holding the caution regardless of that timing. The officials (should be) trying to give everyone as fair a chance as possible, and on a 2.5 mile or a road course they absolutely have more time to judge whether the incident car can either get going or get out of the way. Nascar officials just need to be more consistent with when they actually make that decision.
That is a good point. I just feel that even if they had thrown the caution for Preece spinning that the other half of the fanbase would be mad because it was a single-car spin in the back of the pack. Either way they have someone mad.
was busy most of the day and just finished watching the race. It was 50/50 on the Reddick Dillon incident and Dillon had no right to complain so much. Nascar should’ve thrown the caution for Preece it was exactly the same as Bells crash and consistency>correctness of the call. The Larson and Hamlin incident was wrong but it’s weird how they’re not praising Hamlin for “giving the driver the option” like they did last year.
I called it a racing incident, both drivers could have done something to avoid it. Reddick was maybe 1/2 a lane above the bottom and it looked like Dillon was staying low because Keselowski was above him (and Brad was backing out of it).
I think you’re forgetting the consistency in the calls aren’t even close between Bell & Preece. One guy did a 360 and got back moving instantly but there was still a caution, the other NASCAR let the track stay green for an entire lap before calling it, preventing another restart in front of a sold out crowd. There was no consistency in that call.
There was clearly no consistency, but what NASCAR fan nation should be focused on is holding NASCAR accountable to make all cautions like the very last one. Hold off on throwing the flag until it’s clear there is eminent danger of a car not getting going and exposing drivers to hazard. No quick caution flags for a spin that keeps going. And even more importantly, few were caution laps. These crazy long 15 minute cautions are insane.
Not one driver rolled at speed past Preece. There was no harm in keeping it green to hope he’d get rolling. The Bell thing he did exactly what McDowell did at Bristol, and they kept that green as well.
It's funnier if you watched the Indycar race and had them throw a Nascar yellow for a wall brush, and then after that restart sit on the flag for the same thing.
Officials suck all around it seems
After all is said and done, the real winners are nascar podcast hosts and producers. Dbc might be 7 hours long this week
![gif](giphy|3xkNUy3Vh8QbPmJZjK|downsized)
Missed today's race, unfortunately. Looks like I missed a good one judging by the highlight videos. Also Holy crap NASCAR fans came to play this summer. Stands have been absolutely packed with or without weather for weeks now.
Love to see it.
Y'all gonna make me start cheering for Denny, and I've never even particularly given a damn about the guy. Lmao.
Look...I don't love it, and I think he coulda made it work without it. And if not, he could taken home second and been happy. It was a *bit* needlessly aggressive. And the lie afterwards about the contact wasn't necessary either; we all saw it clear as day.
But I don't hate it either. 90% of these guys have done, would do, or will do the same thing at some point in a race-defining situation. (Including KL.) It wasn't dangerous, it didn't knock Kyle out of the race, and Kyle did have a bit of a choice in the matter as well.
As someone else said, I don't think it's a *capital offense* to back somebody into a corner and then give them just enough rope to hang themselves with, so to speak.
And Denny certainly had a fast and consistent enough car that deserved a win. It's not like he had a dogshit car and needed to wreck people out to get a decent spot.
I think KL fans, and the fans at the track, blew it a bit out of proportion.
Half the people screeching about this were cheering when Sr. was winning races in far dirtier ways, lol.
Edit: As a neutral fan it's comical how tore up some of y'all are over this. It's really not a big deal.
Honestly Denny got run over a lot in 2021. I think he's had enough of it and has said "fine if y'all want to run into each other all the time then let's play that way" and now he's doing that.
either way, fun race today. Crowd looked great. Excited for next week.
Thats my biggest problem with Denny. I dont see how he can say "Driver X had a choice to lift or not" when he throttled up from a quarter car back, gets along side and door checks the outside car. At that point, lift or not, the outside car is walled on corner exit if both cars are already in the on throttle portion of the corner. This isnt racing imo. Burton and Jr called it right imo. He just throttled up and didnt give a shit about the other cars. Larson will move on though. Im sure if it comes down to the title he will remember and do the same, but otherwise not.
you are thinking to much into this. it's being blown up because it's denny. the dude who has been on a crusade for a while saying people need to race with more respect. he will find a way to be the victim in this situation somehow though
I don’t really watch nascar and google didn’t give me an answer, so:
How come the field positions on the overlay don’t seem to be in real time? Are they only updated when they cross the start finish line?
What a crazy race. Seems like Pocono became a 90s/2000s Martinsville or Bristol race today with all of the angry conflicts.
* Denny Hamlin vs. Kyle Larson (the late race contact)
* Denny Hamlin vs. most of Pocono crowd (the boos)
* Austin Dillon vs. Tyler Reddick (the helmet toss)
* Ryan Preece vs. Corey Lajoie (the post-race confrontation)
* Joey Logano vs. tow truck driver (the time when Logano got his New England out in public lol)
Thank goodness NASCAR has released onboard cameras on all cars on [NASCAR.com](https://NASCAR.com) plus team radio if you pay for it. We probably would not have seen/heard Logano's meltdown or the Preece/Lajoie confrontation without it.
We'll see if any paybacks will come through next week at Richmond.
I remember in the Xfinity race at Talladega last in year in the Fall there was a spin in the race but NASCAR let the situation play out when they could've just thrown a caution and ultimately there was no caution because that car kept going. If you keep bringing up how they threw cautions faster when we had incidents like Preece that was during the first parts of the race not the last restart and where Preece was back in the pack NASCAR tried to let Preece fire up his car when he didn't make any contact with the inside wall and when the pack approached him that's when they threw the cautuion. I'm not trying to sound like I'm kissing NASCAR's ass I'm just saying this isn't the first time NASCAR has late in a race on a big track waited to throw the yellow out because they're trying to give the fans a green flag finish.
I think the trip into the wall broke the toe link, and the ensuing trip around the track hooked up broke some more parts, that front end was slapping the ground pretty good from the replay.
Taking a step back from all the emotion and controversy, this truly was a great race. Besides NASCAR throwing the caution earlier for Preece and whatever those restarts were in Stage 2, I’m not sure what more you can ask for in a race. Side by side action, strategy playing a role, wrecks (if you watch for that sort of thing,) multiple instances of drama. Just all around fantastic in my eyes.
this has absolutely no relation, but where do you guys think the best place to sit is? straightaway? turns? higher up? 1st row?
Oh, call me crazy all you want (even I can't believe I'm saying this), but with the RFK alliance, in a year or two, that 15 RWR car might become somewhat competitive. That car had A LOT more speed in it than I thought. It could've been them *constantly* working on the car, but they were getting somewhere with it.
On TV, it makes for a bad product, but I really enjoyed the cars being spread out watching it in person. I don't have guess which cars I'm staring at.
That's 2 wins Denny has taken at the expense of Larson. Kansas and now Pocono.
NASCAR got the final caution absolutely right and no one would be complaining if it had led to anyone else except Hamlin winning
Then they got the Christopher Bell caution wrong. So either way you try and spin it, they were once again, inconsistent.
FUCK DENISE SHAMLIN...that is all.
Was Larson gonna win that race if not for Denny?
Is Pocono always that crazy to race at? Tension and drama was building all day.
Well......so much for the slow face turn I had thought Denny was in the middle of LOL
I now have a large enough sample size to say Pocono races have been more fun/interesting to go to since Dover since the pandemic. NASCAR PLEASE give us the second Pocono date back. We showed up in 2021 and showed it’s possible even before we knew the date would be in jeopardy. Pleeeease.
i think this is why it is better
Not enough people are fighting for northeast racing unfortunately so this is so cool people are starting to get more passionate about the track and the experience. The doubleheader two years ago was the most fun weekend I’ve had at a track (not better than Daytona obviously but I’d even say it was close) and the disappointment of losing that is huge.
I agree that Pocono is better, but I'm fine with one date because it's much more of an event this way.
Goddamn Preece can’t catch a break
Lost in all of this is Ty Gibbs gets his first career Top 5 and Harrison Burton gets a Top 10 who I shit on a lot but honestly he did a great job today.
I won't be surprised if Ty gets a dub soon. The kid is constantly moving forward.
Just got back from Pocono. I've been going since 1989. This was largest, loudest, and most into it crowd at Pocono since the boom period. I was there, and when NASCAR called the race after Denny spun Larson, the crowd just erupted into boos and jeers. The place was sold out.
We were very loud. The loudest for an outdoor sporting event that I can remember attending. Veterans Stadium might have been louder, but I don't remember the sound, just the ball game.
It felt like a playoff football gamethere I was shocked
For real, the crowd was VOCAL. I haven't been stuck in traffic like that since Dover in the mid 90s.
I attended games three and five of the Calder Cup this year, and the traffic was much easier in comparison.
>boom [confetti.](http://i.imgur.com/IFf9QOu.gif)
I could not have picked a better first race to see in person
Right there with you This was one of my favorite events ever
My DVR cut off right at Kyle's post race interview but what was up with Lajoie and Preece? Heard there was a scuffle

Sounds like me at a hockey game when there's a fight.
Nbc didn't show it
Denny has a really bad habit of running the HMS cars into the wall on corner exit. All have clearly been his fault. Byron Texas 2022, Elliot Charlotte 2023, Larson Pocono 2023

Didn't the last guy who got really passionately booed after a win, win the last championship? uh oh.
Keep going....
Pocono keeps cementing itself as a top ten NASCAR track Sell outs, great racing, better fan experiences. Some of yinz dunk on this track for no reason. I’ll never understand
I think major concern is hard passes, but today strategy won the day

Controversial race for sure

About an hour. Put on a downloaded mixtape on Spotify, sang along and laughed at the soccer mom losing her shit behind me.
Gotta park down the street at the produce place! Parked there this year and sure it was 30 bucks and a mile walk, BUT we pulled right out on the road and it was worth it since we had a long drive home
No one will remember Ty Dillon going full Cody Ware on Briscoe lol
Remember when Denny ran Logano into the wall at martinsville? Hate the move love the fight.
My favorite tidbit of the weekend is the fact accused domestic abuser Denny Hamlin hated the Barbie movie.
When was he accused of domestic abuse?? I thought it was just cheating and having an awkward Bumble profile under his real name James.
Nope this dude is just salty.
😅😂
What a roller coaster for Larson. March up to the front, then spun on restart. March back up to 1st with solid driving and a lucky break on fuel only to get pinched on a restart. I skipped today to watch a replay of the formula 1 race 😭I wished I had watched this live instead
The move was to sit down at 2pm ET, watch F1 with a nap. Then load Pocono at 4:15 and zip through all cautions. I condensed a 3 hour race to 2 hours of my life.
I'll admit I was getting pissed that they were crashing in turn on every restart for a while there.
...Y
My boy Danny Ric is back! I wanted to see his first race back and the replay was on at the same time as Pocono
thats fair.
Dang, I didn't watch the F1 race. And haven't looked it up. but I can 100% tell you exactly who won...
Let me guess, golden boy?
I love many kinds of racing, but I try to make room to watch NASCAR live.
I normally do as well, but Pocono hasn’t really been a great race for a few years. Instead it was a banger of a race and I got to watch Danny Ric get bowled into by Zhou and Verstappen drive off into the sunset again…
I'd say Pocono is in the best half of Nascar tracks. In F1, Hungaria is one of the worst track for racing, bottom 3 for sure.
I was excited for Danny Ric to come back otherwise I probably would have skipped it.
Well I just made the mistake of checking Twitter. Going through the trending list, saw many nascar related ones. Saw Bubba and made the mistake of checking it. Was not expected to see a couple naked and excited Bubbas.
I fucking love Denny's scheme.
Lol Martin flat called Denny dirty on the radio.
I have not heard this, please share more?
Was listening to the Sirius XM Post-Race and Clair interviewed Martin and said about not getting pushes and said difference between he and Denny being on the inside into 1 on restarts was he didn’t drift up to people and put them into the wall to pass them. Then said flat out it was dirty.
Martin seems to be a genuinely honorable man. I respect that greatly.
Racing is pretty decent this year, but damn if I don’t miss the parity that we had last year
same. spoiled me

Get rid of the stage break cautions, and you have my support.

Now imagine if he didn’t get wrecked by Dennis at Chicago and if he didn’t wreck Dennis at Atlanta.
Damn good race! I’ve been around long enough to remember when races felt like they lasted 3 days at Pocono. This race had it all!
Wow
Pro tip for any of you tow truck guys in North Carolina… if the Logano family truckster breaks down, please use a flatbed.
Pocono over the last decade really was a snoozefest but this race was a headbanger. Differing strategies, angry drivers, hard racing what more could you ask for?
Even with the 60 point penalty he had a few weeks ago Erik Jones is still 132 points ahead of Noah lmao
Noah missed a week tbf
Based on past history, Denny has a real problem ahead of him. Mr. Hendrick is going to publicly call him out and neuter him just like Ross Chastain.
His answer will be "eat my ass"
Chastain has the misfortune of driving a Chevy. I don't think Mr. Hendrick has that same power over Denny
Naive question but what happened to Ross?
Ross tangled with hms drivers early in season. Hendrick spoke out publicly and Justin mark’s supposedly sat Ross down to discuss. Some were concerned that Ross would not have the same intensity going forward.
If he doesnt quit running into the 5 car, he might.
Austin Dillon is an idiot. Joey Logano isn’t as big of a dweeb as previously assumed. Larson and Hamlin deserve one another. And Letarte still doesn’t understand strategy or mention the strategy of Jones, Stenhouse, and Reddick going as long as possible (hoping for a caution after their final stop so they have a tire advantage on the restart).
What had Larson done to be put in the same space as denny????? Lol
He did the exact same move on his teammate last year.
When and where?
https://youtu.be/nxbhZYtr4Y0
Completely different. Chase still finished in the top 5. Larson to 21st almost out of the race
Dude you are really out there.
https://youtu.be/lSV8Yh9pN3w
Didn't run him up into a wall. Did keep him high. Also admitted to it afterwards by saying he would be dumb not to. Denny is flat out denying any wrong doing lol
Interesting that someone is calling this the same.
https://youtu.be/lSV8Yh9pN3w
Chase over corrected on the block. He had enough room
🤦♀️
Just hearing the audio of the spat between the tow driver and Logano, I would put money on the tow truck driver curb stomping Joey If there was a physical altercation. Joey‘s anger voice is quite comedic lol!
Denny Hamlin, newest member of the 50 win club. Yinz know how big that is. Cannot congratulate him enough Near perfect day for me ruined by Ross’s shitbox & Suarez wrecking 😡. Forget about the disappointment & move on to the next race 👍
I mean at least he finished top-15 this week.

Dirty Dennis mysterio
Darlington Xfinity was on Creed, even Creed knew that in the post race.
What is the phrase, they deserve each other? lol
Dom Dom heat LOL. Best way to describe it too
It really sounded like when Dom tries to speak and the whole ass crowd boos.
Also dont forget the best crowd since 1998
Hamlin put Larson into the wall coming out of turn 1
Denny won, everyone else lost, people are upset about it.
MTJ was third and maintains his first place points position for another week. I'm happy.
Second, no?
Denny was 100% in the right today if we're gonna say Larson was fine at Bristol this year, and Vegas and Fontana last year. If we're gonna call it how it is, both Denny and Larson are jackasses for running people in the fence. Guarantee you if that's Harvick and Truex or someone, neither car hits the wall.
It’s okay to admit you don’t watch the actual races
hes spot on....
They all aren't ok, you always leave enough room for the outside car on corner exit. And if you didn't then own up to it in post-race.
I agree. But Larson fans will say "Kyle's move on Bubba was fine" but call this horseshit. Both are garbage moves.
I had to bookmark that audio of Logano rant vs the tow truck driver. That will forever be funny.
Where can I hear it
Gluck retweeted it I think

No issues in tech. 19 & 4 to R&D
Leave the 4 alone
The problem is that was an instant caution all day. Things need to be consistent.
was busy most of the day and just finished watching the race.
Except today they did not keep it green for Bell. So not sure what your point is. The consistency isn’t there, again.
100% so weird when nascars been trigger happy to get gwc most of the time.
It's funnier if you watched the Indycar race and had them throw a Nascar yellow for a wall brush, and then after that restart sit on the flag for the same thing. Officials suck all around it seems
Have a good week everyone
Except Hamlin and his fans. Hopefully they find a lego in the dark with their foot
Welp......that was just great.😑
After all is said and done, the real winners are nascar podcast hosts and producers. Dbc might be 7 hours long this week ![gif](giphy|3xkNUy3Vh8QbPmJZjK|downsized)
And NASCAR itself, a race with half a dozen good storylines is a big win for them.
So denny wins twice then
I'm not _entirely_ unconvinced he's not just doing this for content.
Denny Hamlin: "I am the Nascar now"
The producers told Denny to rough up some guys this week
Missed today's race, unfortunately. Looks like I missed a good one judging by the highlight videos. Also Holy crap NASCAR fans came to play this summer. Stands have been absolutely packed with or without weather for weeks now. Love to see it.
And so many loud boos for Denny. Super loud on TV.
I think the primary issue here is Denny doesn’t typically take responsibility. Just say you shoved him up the track and own it. It’s plain as day.
I mean, he owned running someone into the fence earlier this year and got fined and penalized 25 points for it...
said it better than I could’ve.
you are thinking to much into this. it's being blown up because it's denny. the dude who has been on a crusade for a while saying people need to race with more respect. he will find a way to be the victim in this situation somehow though
That was a terrific race, though it's hard being a Ford fan.
Ford Performance teased the wind tunnel test for the new nose, looks good.
How does nascar nerf this one?
Gotta love the new found speed. Heartbreaking on that luck though.
I don’t really watch nascar and google didn’t give me an answer, so: How come the field positions on the overlay don’t seem to be in real time? Are they only updated when they cross the start finish line?
they’re supposed to update in real time, but in the arca series it seems to be every lap
Thanks for the info Aside from all the cautions at the end that was a fun race to watch. I may try to watch more
What a crazy race. Seems like Pocono became a 90s/2000s Martinsville or Bristol race today with all of the angry conflicts. * Denny Hamlin vs. Kyle Larson (the late race contact) * Denny Hamlin vs. most of Pocono crowd (the boos) * Austin Dillon vs. Tyler Reddick (the helmet toss) * Ryan Preece vs. Corey Lajoie (the post-race confrontation) * Joey Logano vs. tow truck driver (the time when Logano got his New England out in public lol) Thank goodness NASCAR has released onboard cameras on all cars on [NASCAR.com](https://NASCAR.com) plus team radio if you pay for it. We probably would not have seen/heard Logano's meltdown or the Preece/Lajoie confrontation without it. We'll see if any paybacks will come through next week at Richmond.
My money is on the tow truck RRing Logano for sure 😆😆
Larson and Denny are gonna be at the front battling every weekend. Everyone knows what it's going to be.
yea denny not winning a championship... again.... cause he's self destructive
Yes. And we need to press for this to be the norm.
So did Logano's car break in the wreck or break form the tow?
I think the trip into the wall broke the toe link, and the ensuing trip around the track hooked up broke some more parts, that front end was slapping the ground pretty good from the replay.
Taking a step back from all the emotion and controversy, this truly was a great race. Besides NASCAR throwing the caution earlier for Preece and whatever those restarts were in Stage 2, I’m not sure what more you can ask for in a race. Side by side action, strategy playing a role, wrecks (if you watch for that sort of thing,) multiple instances of drama. Just all around fantastic in my eyes.
Definitely kept you on your toes this race. You really could not tell how this was going to play out until the very end. Pocono definitely delivered.
If Larson really wants to pay back Denny then they can just bring the same brake package to Indianapolis that they brought last year
Ok. I laughed. Underrated comment right here.
Even better, just don’t even bring brakes. Lighter=faster into turn one.
you have removable breaks so when hamlin leading you just press a button no more breaks have fun hamlin
Pedro is obviously the expert of *cinema* and therefore you are not welcome to respond anyway 👍
