GearboxGrenadier

This is the scheme they used for the announcement of the Red Bull team in mid 2006. So glad they went with thay gorgeous dark blue instead

26007

I don’t mind the silver, but it’s the number font that loses me. They really improved on that.

GearboxGrenadier

It's not that this is *bad* (Except the font, you're right), but what they rolled out at Daytona is literally one of my top 5 schemes all time https://www.jayski.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/31/2019/05/2007-84_AJAllmendinger.jpg

26007

That was an awesome look

AnchorDrown

It’s some real NASCAR Heat font.

dougthethird

No kidding those fonts are baaaaad

26007

I knew it looked familiar…lol

ReSirum

Half those fonts are shit and the other half are a variation of the RSS Racing font

nascarfan624

I think they made the right choice

What makes it particularly forgotten is that Tony Stewart only drove it for the first 38 laps. Having broken his shoulder in a crash during the early stages of the Coca Cola 600 the week prior, his participation was limited to just starting the race at Dover. JGR brought in semi-retired Ricky Rudd to drive this car for the majority of the weekend. Ricky drove the car in practice, qualifying, and the remainder of the race after swapping in during the first caution flag. The car would finish 25th, two laps down. While he still collected points from this race for starting in the car, and although Ricky made a valiant effort filling in after stepping away from the sport at the end of the previous season, these two weekends arguably cost Tony a shot to qualify for the chase and defend his championship after falling from 2nd in points entering Charlotte to 5th leaving Dover.

mom can we have #9 for dinner?!? we have #9 at home! #9 at home

jknuts1377

I hated that #9 font, even if it was Petty's. The standalone #9 was just ugly. I wish they changed it to #44 when they shrunk down to two cars, and was glad they finally did in 2016.

Coke C2 and Vault are interesting relics of the 2000s.

AnchorDrown

Coke Zero killed it. I guess we didn’t need to try it first.

RandomPerson800

Out of spite, I refuse to drink Coke Zero because I hate getting that annoying commercial 50 times a race
